“We tried Royal Indian for the first time one month ago. We had the butter chicken, butter lobster, naan, and lamb korma. It was our first time eating Indian food from a restaurant and we were very pleased with our meals! The entrees were very filling and some of the best food we’ve eaten in bar harbor. The staff were all super friendly and quick. We’re now using this as our go to takeout order spot!”

“You must eat here! The atmosphere is lovely and laid back. The drinks (and mocktails) are wonderful. The food... the food is fantastic! You can't go wrong with the apps, but the Dilly Pickled Veg is the perfect little zippy snack while you wait for your dinner. The entire dinner menu is truly inspired. The bang bang fried chicken is always a personal go to... but I opted for the Crab BLT tonight and was blown away! My hubby had the Lamb Shwarma and practically licked his plate... the pita alone was a light, fluffy delight. If you order the fries, which you most certainly should, get the garlic aioli... you'll thank me later, it's also good with the lamb. ;)”

“Chose Everyday Joe’s for breakfast because it’s a little off the strip and we could get in right away. The service and food is excellent! The atmosphere feels like a converted food market (which it is) and hence the name. But if you don’t care about ambiance you should try it. Our omelets were perfect and not too greasy which happens at a lot of breakfast places. The potatoes were amazing too. I recommend Everyday Joe’s for a great meal and a good value.”

“This was our last day in Bar Harbor and we sure picked the right restaurant to end our trip. Justin was our server and he was very friendly, explained the menu, specials and prices for lobster. The oysters were so fresh, caught just 3 miles away. Everything we had was on point. Highly recommend and we will be back!”

“We had a mess up on the pizza yesterday but this place came good on it plus more!!! Also the pizza was absolutely delicious a family of five (out of two pizzas) only had two slices left. “Great vibes all around. I had the chicken salad sandwich BLT recommended from our waitress and I’m still dreaming about it, so delicious! Food was great, but service was even better with the host and waitress checking in on us consistently. Can’t wait to go back!”

“Janice was recommended to us by our wedding planner for our July 2021 wedding. Her list of flavors is long and believe me, you could spend all day trying various combinations. For our tasting, every single slice we tasted was moist and amazing. We ended up getting a chocolate and yellow cake with peanut butter mouse and chocolate ganache filling. Never have I ever had something so rich, moist, and somehow light at the same time. For our frosting, I strongly dislike any traditional frostings. Janice suggested a whipped cream frosting thankfully. She provided us with a traditional looking 4 tier wedding cake with flowers (made by her out of merengue) cascading down the side. It was gorgeous! My sister who is a chef was impressed with the presentation, knowing that it was a whipped cream frosting which can be harder to work with. And believe me, this was the best cake I have ever had. 6 days later and it has retained all its flavor and moisture. I don’t seen how we will be able to make it to our first wedding anniversary with that in the freezer. I can’t stop thinking about how good the cake is. You will not be disappointed if you get your cake here!”

Having dined at Side Street in the past I already recommend this establishment to my clients traveling to Acadia for good food and adventure. But now that I have worked alongside their staff what an amazing restaurant! Attentive, kind, welcoming, are just a few words I’d use to describe Side Street and her Crew. “As a local, Pats Bar Harbor is my go to for fresh made and delicious comfort food. They never disappoint and I especially like that they have my favorite New Zealand wine at a reasonable (not tourist) price. They are open every day so it’s easy to be spontaneous when craving Pats food. I’m anxious to try their Jamaican inspired menu but it’s a challenge to stay away from their calzones, pizza, sandwiches and pasta. Thanks Pats for always being so dependable in every way. ❤️”

“I was in town to photograph the NYE party at Side Street Cafe for the evening. My second photographer and I decided to treat ourselves to a reservation at McKays for dinner before we had to be to work and I can confidently say it was a great choice as usual! We both sipped on a delicious Hibiscus 75 (new favorite??). Our server was attentive, kind, and soft spoken. We thoroughly enjoyed his service! For dinner I had the seafood risotto and OH MY was that dish delicious!! Everything was cooked perfectly and I cannot wait to go back again.”
