“This was our first time visiting The Chop House. We wanted to do something special. The ambiance was perfect, with soft lighting and the beautiful art on the walls. We started wirh a glass of riesling and the cheese plate, and loved both. My fiance and I both ordered the Dry Aged NY strip steak, and we both agreed it was the best steak we had ever tasted in our lives. The service was phenomenal. Very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly staff. This restaurant is a bit of a splurge, but so, so worth it. We will absolutely come back.”

Again, super fresh cheese, sauce and basil. After eating the whole thing, I am left wanting just one more slice... but if it were any bigger, I would certainly be over-full.”

The only drawback I could even say is it needed more garlic sauce, but that's just cause I really like garlic sauce lol. The fries were also super fresh and hot and crispy. Probably 5 stars for the fries.”

Their sandwiches are so flavorful & fresh without being heavy on the sauces. My go to is the Greek Pita, which in my opinion is to die for! I’ve been coming here frequently for at least 6yrs, and it has always been consistent and delicious. It is a small family business and they are the sweetest and always ready to serve you with a smile. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Today I'm down in the westside of Ann Arbor and this new restaurant Ricewood BBQ, OH MY GOD!!! On the recommendation of the lady behind the counter I got the Brisket bowl with sesame cucumbers, pickled onions and the spice was medium. A "real", in my opinion BBQ place, you even smell the smoke from the wood smoker walking up. I went to the one on North Maple and by far the best lunch I've had all summer!!!”

“I gave been to playa bowl over 10 times and my experience today was not good. The staff today was not very welcoming. If the owners were there today when I went they sure were not friendly. I told the cashier no coconuts and they put some in, then she says you want a lid and I said well yea, it’s to go. She didn’t even put them in a bag. I always buy the Nutella one and I always buy 2. All the other times I had no problems great staff and friendly.”

“I am a coffee enthusiast, who is getting a bit more into snob territory, and I have Hyperion to blame. I found Hyperion years ago by chance, and said “This is the best coffee I’ve ever had. I never even knew coffee could taste THIS good!” Now I’ve gone and bought coffee from several places, beans and drinks too. As I write this, I actually have 6 bags of various different coffee beans from places, each unique vendors… except for the two I got from Hyperion. I’ve yet to find ANYONE who has beaten them. Some have come close, some may have them beat in other ways. But ultimately, Hyperion makes THE best coffee I have ever had. I have tried to find someone who can best them and have not found them. I cannot recommend Hyperion enough. They ignited a passion for me, and continue to provide the utmost excellence in coffee. Oh, and they finally sold the banana guava beans! I’m SO excited to see how they turn out at home!”

“Palgong is a pleasant surprise. It seems that boba places are popping up all over the place, but Palgong is definitely one of the good ones!! I tried it the other day on a whim, and it blew my expectations out of the water. I got a brown sugar latte iced with pearls and sweet cream foam. It was really solid! I also got a cream cheese muffin that tasted way better than I expected it to. The staff was super nice, and the interior is incredibly clean. I would definitely sit down here to read a book, study, or catch up with a friend. Definitely give Palgong a shot!!”

“We had our wedding at Vinology and I am beyond glad that we did. To say they were great to work with would be a major understatement as we were absolutely blown away by everything- from their stunning venue and exquisite food to their incredible customer service. Vinology not only handles their events with professionalism and attention to detail, but they genuinely care about the people they are hosting the events for.
From the very start, the communication was impeccable. We primarily worked with Neal, who was amazing. He was knowledgeable, kind and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We also worked with Shelley, who was also extremely helpful and kind. There wasn’t a single staff member that we encountered throughout the entire process that wasn’t equally wonderful and hardworking. Especially on the night of the event!
The venue setup was beautiful and the transition between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception ran smoothly. All of our guests raved about the spectacular food, saying that it was the best they have ever had at a wedding and that they couldn’t get over how elegant and perfect the space was.
Once the wedding was over, Vinology continued to impress us. The next day we found that in all of the leftover food that had been packed up, we were missing a few meals that were supposed to be included (from the guests that were unable to attend last minute). Neal worked with us and the chef to have fresh meals made and picked up at a time that worked well for us. We were very impressed that they did this and as always, they were delicious!
