“The staff was nice and fun, me and my son ordered the seafood gumbo, the crab and crawfish étouffée, and the fried catfish, the gumbo’s flavor was comforting and had a kick, the étouffée was nice and spicy and the catfish’s skin was crispy and the meat was tender. The owner is very nice and personally makes sure you have everything you need. I will come back to this restaurant many times.“

“I can't recommend the Sunrise Cafe enough. Stopped in on a whim for breakfast while on a family adventure and everyone left happy and full. The menu is extensive and everything was freshly made and very yummy. But what really put it over the top was the service! From the greeting at the door, to the prompt attention, and one of the best servers ever! 10 out of 10! We will be back!“

“Food was good and service was acceptable (nothing special) but you had a group of 5 guys leave your restaurant last night somewhat bewildered after your waitress Katarina made it quite clear she was not happy with the 20% tip we gave her. Apparently, our stay of about 3 hours eating and drinking was excessive. We may not be back.“

“We were instantly greeted and seated. Our server Robby was awesome. The entire staff was friendly. Chef Johnny is very talented and friendly. I love that he greets all guest and will even bring your food out himself. For starters we had the shrimp and crab cakes. They were crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth. The surprise with these was that there was whole shrimp inside. We loved it. The sauce on top was just the right amount. The salmon with saffron rice, coconut curry sauce and green apple slaw was the best salmon I've had in a while. The pairing was new for me but it worked. The salmon was juicy and perfectly cooked. When paired with everything on my plate it was like fireworks. Everything popped and was amazing. My husband had the beef strudel. Now he was thinking it was gonna be like a beef wellington but no. When he put his fork into the perfectly crispy flaky crust and into the most tender beef either of us have ever had, OMG. With the first bite all he could do was say "WOW"(sorry about how loud he was). The flavors of that plate were incredible. The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet and the smear of lemon sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The drinks. I had the rainforest and my husband had the Johnny Manhattan. When we saw how small the glasses were we were definitely worried. That feeling quickly faded with the first sip. The drinks may be small but they are strong and delicious. We had to pace ourselves with those. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to everyone there for a great time and for great service.“

“One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The staff was extremely polite and efficient. Food came very quickly after ordering. All around great experience, men's bathroom could use a little attention but it wasn't grody or anything just cramped.“

It is not that I am so thin skinned, in today’s economy, service providers must “earn” my loyalty and patronage. Normally I carry out but today I chose to fine in. You seat yourself do I was promptly seated. The waitress took a moment to come to the table and the restaurant was only partially occupied. It took forever for her to retrieve our drinks and return to the table with them. We waited a moment to order and the food , a very simple order, fries and wings took row seemed like forever. After that, we did not hear from her again until she brought the check. Mind you, she refilled the drinks for a table right next to ours 3 times. Ok, so I asked for a refill of our drinks to go. Two of them, children’s drinks were already in styrofoam cups. She returned with a large styrofoam cup and stated she couldn’t refill the kids cups to go, because there was a limit. Because of the disappointed look on their faces, I reminded her that this would be the first refill. What upset me was that she wanted to argue with me. I politely said whatever lady. She wanted to keep it going so I obliged her and reminded her that in a service industry it behooves her to not argue with customers and just stop talking so much! She then attempted to embarrass me by yelling out in the dining room, y’all this lady mad cause I won’t give her lemonade to go. I was going to, but not now.” I responded with “I was going to tip you, but not now.” Before you go there, I do know , understand, and practice two wrongs don’t make a right. Then there are times you stand on principle. All that to say, I won’t be returning!“

“CK Diggs is an absolute gem near downtown Rochester! The food was amazing — everything we ordered was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. We tried the boneless wings, nachos, quesadillas, Reuben sandwich, Southwest pasta, Cajun steak strips, pretzel bites, and Beijing beef — and every single dish was delicious.

The service was just as impressive — friendly, attentive, and fast. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual night out or a relaxed dinner with friends.

The Cookie Monster and carrot was was beyond delicious.
