“The restaurant is a little smaller with a more intimate feel. We sat at a small high top table next to the bar and we couldn’t have asked for better service. Throughout the night, at least 6 different servers took care of us (sitting next to the bar, we were taken care of by the bartenders.) The food and drinks were amazing and the service was top notch. My boyfriend had the peach cocktail and then an old fashion with honey cinnamon syrup and I had the mule which all of the drinks were absolutely delicious. We both had the Steak frites which was cooked to perfection and the fries I just couldn’t get enough of. For dessert, we took home the banana pie dessert and the Dubai chocolate cheesecake special and let me just say, oh my goodness. Neither of us knew which one we liked better. We will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing valentines dinner :)“

“If you're looking for a culinary adventure, try Saffron De Twah, a Morcoccoan restaurant on the east side of Detroit. The food is amazing--the chicken sandwich is the best you'll ever have in your lifetime. Don't leave without trying the tea. What a presentation! Even more wonderful than the food is Chef/Owner Omar's hospitality & generousity!!! One of his core values is giving back to the commuity through the Saffron Community Kitchen and his YouTube presentations. Did I mention he is a James Beard finalist? I will return again & again. “I didnt know anything about Soul Food, but have come here several times now. Very tasty meals and good kind service. The neighborhood is beautiful and it is easy to find by driving up Jefferson toward Pewabic Pottery, turn onto Van Dyke and just park right along Agnes. The neighborhood has one of those pretty names, too, tho sadly I have forgotten. But the food is the big deal, and the folksy service. I even got dessert as well. It is really worth the trip!“

“Clean, friendly, attentive, excellent food. You can tell right away when you walk to the door that the owners love this place and are proud of it. I had the steak and eggs, both cooked to my rare/over medium delight and my rye toast actually came with my meal. So important. Loved our waitress Becky. I'm from Sfld and my sisters are in Mt. Highly recommend everything I got and the service was perfect, I mean like I finished my water and by the time my glass hit the table it was refilled. This was actually my second time, I’ve been before for a friends birthday and we had a different menu…..the pomegranate ribs were mouthwatering delicious.
