“I have driven by this place so many times. I am sorry I didn't try it sooner.
I sure hope this is the norm for them. I ordered chicken and broccoli with vegetable fried rice and crab rangoons.
The chicken in so good, the vegetables are fresh and crisp. The fried rice is delicious.
The portions are huge. I literally have enough for a few meals.
I highly recommend this place and I'm quite surprised it only has a 3.8 stars.“

I was thrilled to find marinated pork belly as the pork in my noodles (pork and vegetable option). This was a "need a towel, not a napkin" kind of meal - messy and great! “I have been ordering from here since shortly after I moved to the area in Sept., 2018. I WILL NOT order from anywhere else. No place else is nearly as good!! We LOVE the Sweet and Sour chicken, and their egg rolls are the biggest by far. Before today, it has been a long time since I've had food from here.

Its even better than I remember. The egg roll was delicious, with a light and crispy exterior. The chicken pieces were large, and not overly breaded like other places I've experienced where there's more breading than chicken. I ordered 3 of the Sweet and Sour chicken dinner combinations and a PT of wonton soup for one adult, a teen, and 2 younger kids. I fished out ONE of the dinner between all of us. The other 2 meals are untouched, aside from the egg rolls. Dinner for 2 more days!! Yes!

This evening I had an even more exceptional experience than usual. My 5 year old son has a tree nut allergy, which includes sesame, and my oldest is allergic to peanuts. When I ordered, I informed them of the allergies for food handling purpose. I was informed at pick up that the egg rolls are fried in sesame oil. I was offered extra rice to replace the egg rolls if I didn't want them. I declined, but appreciated being informed and gave my son something else instead. They also made sure to put the egg rolls in separately from the dinner combinations, which are usually put in the box with the meal.

Absolutely perfect. I have never had a bad experience with them, and I look forward to any chance I get to order from here. All 4 of my boys love their food too!

“Beef broccoli is the best around. Not a huge fan of the sweet and sour sauce but I'll definitely be back to try the orange chicken.
Edit: the orange chicken is delicious. I asked for the sauce on the side and an extra sweet and sour sauce cup and they only charged $1 for the extra sauce (picky 2 year old) portions were huge as well.“

“Do not let the looks of this establishment fool you. The food is incredible. The inside looks like a restaurant but im unsure if they seat anyone. All the lights were off in the dining area and one section was full of boxes. The gentleman working the front desk / phones was very nice and helpful. I got the almond chicken dinner and was it packed with flavor! They also give you a huge portion of fried rice and chicken...enough to feed 2 people. I highly recommend checking out this spot if you are in the area...this might be my new go to Chinese spot.“

The broccoli and beef is to live for, the egg foo young is perfect and you can't go wrong with the sweet and sour chicken! The wonton soup is the best in the downriver area, even though this place is not part of that exchange. Our waitress is so sweet and has kept up with everyone. This building/atmosphere is clean and friendly and just beautiful. Tjere is plenty of room for an intimate meal just for two or a large gathering. We will be most happy to make the 30 minute drove back again!“

“This place has excellent Chinese food you can tell because their phone never stops ringing there’s always people coming and going and I usually have to wait 25 to 30 minutes to get my food which is unusual for Chinese restaurants seeing how it seems like they’re always five minutes long and you can get whatever you want, but if they have good food, you’ll have to wait, which is normally not a problem it’s worth“

“I just picked up a carryout. Oh my!! My husband gave his pork chop suey a 10/10. He actually said it was the best pork chop suey he’s ever had from a restaurant. I have to say my shrimp with sizzling rice was an 11/10. Superb. We are both pretty discerning about food. And to have us both pleased, it was great! I can say I’m not that much of a fan of Chinese food, preferring Vietnamese, but this was such a pleasant surprise. I will become a “regular”.“

However I can speak to their hot and sour soup it is the second best round the first best unfortunately closed a while back and I've been scrambling for a replacement and looks like this place is going to win. “China House Inn has become our go to Chinese takeout spot. We love TenYen but it's a little bit further of a drive and the good is close to equal. Delicious egg rolls, good shrimp fried rice, and most dishes have been tasty. The almond chicken gravy is bland and the Mongolian beef wasn't the best but we love the sweet and sour chicken, general chicken, and Szechuan chicken. Very nice workers too.“

Because it's just the two of them when it gets busy it takes them awhile to answer the phone and there could be as much as a 30–45-minute wait for your food. It's also carry out only. “Tried this place after my go to Chinese restaurant closed down and this place absolutely blew my old restaurant out of the water! The chicken was so flavorful and crunchy, not that rubbery chicken you get from other places. The egg drop soup was absolutely perfect as well with crispy chips to go with it. And the amount of food you get for the price is insane! You could feed a whole family with one meal! I will absolutely be ordering from here again soon and recommending it to everyone I know. This is officially my new favorite restaurant! I can’t say anything about the atmosphere or the restaurant itself because I used DoorDash, but I’m sure the dining experience is just as lovely!“

“Really nice folks and beautiful interesting interior. Been on my list opening 4 months ago. Ordered Pupu Platter, Chinese Scallion Pancakes, Large Chinese Veggies Soup and Chicken Egg Foo Young. Surprised when eating inside no plates or silverware. Everything brought out in to go containers that's okay. Absolutely fantastic Delicious Scallion Pancakes not found in many places. The quart of Spot packed full was good except broth zero flavor like water. Chicken Egg Foo Young nothing like ever had weird crunchy patties with very small amount of gravy. The very good Rice and a mega amount. Egg Roll spot on Wonderful. The bad absolutely worse ever Pupu Platter Chicken Wings dry, Crab Rangoon Yuk, Shrimp heavy batter couldn't taste Shrimp. Ribs just ok, Spring Rolls a winner and what they call Teriyaki Beef I know as Balamaki was great. I'm willing to give them another chance to change my 3 star rating. Great effort by cook just not up to par with dozen other Chinese restaurants in the area.“

Went back there because the only place that I had found where I live now, and the Chinese food was really good, closed down shortly after covid. Just disappointed that they haven't upgraded their payment system to accept anything other than cash. I had to stop by the ? on the way.“

I can count the pieces of steak that I was given, the green peppers in the steak was big as my hand, it had no juice to it. The steak was dry. The shrimp Egg foo young patties was so fat with junk in each patty had three small pieces of fish, terrible, the gravy was watery and did not taste like Chinese gravy that I was used to I will not be returning. The food was awful.“

“Me and husband are very picky when it comes time to Chinese. We are from GC/ Westland area with great Chinese restaurants so we have been on the hunt for something comparable. I was shocked how good this was. Egg foo young and Almond chicken was perfect. Shrimp fried rice perfect flavor, everything was hot and fresh considering it was DoorDash delivery. Only thing we did not care for was the beef broccoli due to meat being odd consistency. Other than that. Fantastic and I will order again. Don’t let me down !!“
