The only shortfall we found in the restaurant was the BLINDING sun on the East side windows. A good set of adjustable blinds would be a welcomed addition on those East side windows. All in all, the food was so good and so hot, the presentation was beautifully displayed and the staff were friendly and well experienced. We will come back and recommend restaurant to others.“

Very homey, comfort food.
We always get Crab Rangoons, Cashew Chicken, Egg Foo Yung and Sesame Chicken all which are excellent.

Because it's just the two of them when it gets busy it takes them awhile to answer the phone and there could be as much as a 30–45-minute wait for your food. It's also carry out only. If you don't mind the no dine in option or the wait, this will probably be one of the best Chinese food places you have eaten at in the downriver area.“

“Tried this place after my go to Chinese restaurant closed down and this place absolutely blew my old restaurant out of the water! The chicken was so flavorful and crunchy, not that rubbery chicken you get from other places. The egg drop soup was absolutely perfect as well with crispy chips to go with it. And the amount of food you get for the price is insane! You could feed a whole family with one meal! I will absolutely be ordering from here again soon and recommending it to everyone I know. This is officially my new favorite restaurant! I can’t say anything about the atmosphere or the restaurant itself because I used DoorDash, but I’m sure the dining experience is just as lovely!“

“Really nice folks and beautiful interesting interior. Been on my list opening 4 months ago. Ordered Pupu Platter, Chinese Scallion Pancakes, Large Chinese Veggies Soup and Chicken Egg Foo Young. Surprised when eating inside no plates or silverware. Everything brought out in to go containers that's okay. Absolutely fantastic Delicious Scallion Pancakes not found in many places. The quart of Spot packed full was good except broth zero flavor like water. Chicken Egg Foo Young nothing like ever had weird crunchy patties with very small amount of gravy. The very good Rice and a mega amount. Egg Roll spot on Wonderful. The bad absolutely worse ever Pupu Platter Chicken Wings dry, Crab Rangoon Yuk, Shrimp heavy batter couldn't taste Shrimp. Ribs just ok, Spring Rolls a winner and what they call Teriyaki Beef I know as Balamaki was great. I'm willing to give them another chance to change my 3 star rating. Great effort by cook just not up to par with dozen other Chinese restaurants in the area.“

We ordered almond chicken, General Tso chicken, sweet/ sour chicken and sesame chicken and it was delicious. The chicken was all nice white meat and the sauces were fabulous. Egg rolls were yummy too.

“This is my first visit to Mandarin Kitchen. I ordered #4 almond chicken combination with wonton soup and egg roll and hot tea. The almond chicken was pretty good topped with brown gravy. Wonton soup and egg roll was nice and hot and (egg roll was) crispy. 4 and 1/2 stars.“

I ordered me and my boyfriend sweet and sour chicken with shrimp fried rice (upcharge) for lunch one with an egg roll the other with the egg drop soup. It is so hard to find a Chinese restaurant that actually has stuff in their rice that gives it flavor a lot of places have absolutely plain fried rice which I am not a fan of not a onion or sprout in sight but theirs does and I’ll be back to try other dishes. Chicken fried rice, chicken balls, general tao, always the freshest in town. Been going here for 10 years and when ever I go somewhere else it just never is as good as flying tiger.“
