“I took my two son’s here today. My youngest has autism and others’ kindly describe him as “a handful.” Accurate. The server comes over and asks for our drinks. She brings them back and my son just throws the cup across the aisle. And then laughs. Autism is super fun like that. Lauren (the server) was super nice about the mess. Another female server cleaned up the milk. They were both very understanding and it helped so much - probably more than they realize! I tipped them both but I hope a manager sees this, because, they are awesome employees!! You’re lucky to have them!“

“Love this restaurant! We travel from Windsor Ontario to eat here because of the great food and drink. However the best part of Troy Yard House is the staff. Namely Sara who works the bar. She is simply amazing. I marvel at how she commands the bar yet encages with each of her customers. We have been here several times and attend based on Sar's schedule. We truly appreciate her as well the other staff who make this a GREAT place to be!“

“We enjoyed our time at the HUB. We went for a small birthday party and did the golfing simulator and bombowling. The golf simulator is not TopGolf so I’m not sure why it’s labeled as such… we had several issues with the simulator and no one knew enough about it to assist. The bombowling was fun, but at $100/hr for the lane, it’s a bit steep. We were able to get a few games in with 6 people but once it gets crowded it can be problematic with footballs flying and bouncing everywhere. Overall, I’d come back with a larger group so you can split costs evenly. Prices can start to get higher if it’s less than 4 people.“

Parking: There are about 20 parking spots, that are very close to the front of the restaurant, as well as the option of valet parking (most evenings). The “overflow” spots are conveniently located and nearby, as well.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap spots up front and valet parking available most evenings. The doorways and pathways in the restaurant are ample to accommodate a wheelchair or walker.“

“My wife and Enjoy the customer service every time I hate I don’t remember our waitress name she was awesome, she knew the menu, she came over to us every time on time, she was great! This is my wife’s favorite she love the Ribeyes well done, Ocean Prime never miss with her stakes. That olive oil truffle popcorn should Be sold in stores, I never had popcorn this good ever and it’s to live for!!!“

“We held our private event in the enclosed patio at Firebird in Troy. The patio was heated and decorated to look like a lodge. All of our guests felt like they were in a homey environment. The food and the service was impeccable. Our guests were so pleased at the attention to detail and the promptness of the serving staff. The event manager, Jenna, made the entire planning process easy and stress free. She helped us set up our buffet menu and was there day of assisting in decorating and making sure everything was in order. I would highly recommend hosting a private event here and plan to do so myself for future events!“

It's unfortunate that they are only open until 3:00 pm daily for now.
The decor is elegant, giving the feeling of being in a first-class restaurant with a small bar area that could serve some very nice cocktails if you desire.
All that and yet, there were several well-mannered children present, and that indicates this is considered a family restaurant by the locals.
My waitress/bartendress, Richelle, was outstanding and on top of things.
I ordered the "OMG, BBQ Chicken Wrap" and a side of seasoned waffle fries.
At first, when I began to eat the wrap, I thought maybe ordered the plain chicken wrap because I wasn't tasting the BBQ flavor. I just think it would have been better if it had more BBQ sauce in it.
The seasoned waffle fries were not your usual seasoned flavor, but good, just the same.

P.S. That pickle spear looks a little lonely.
Maybe the presentation would look better with just 1 plate.“

I’ve started going there as a regular, since I’m new to the area, but not sure now if I’ll return.“

It was the larger bowl w/ chicken thighs, basmati rice, double garlic sauce, veggies, picked red onions, and salad w/ feta! It was so good I forgot to take a picture. The different flavors, textures, and temperatures worked nicely together: The chicken/rice (warm), the picked red onions (cool), the veggies were a bit tart but in a good way. The salad/dressing were cool. This bowl was so good on my palate! Plus, it was such a healthy choice! 10/10“

“Last night my family and myself went to Grand Tavern for supper after a long day. Our waiter Xhorxh was absolutely amazing! Personally, I have dietary restrictions and explained to him that I am unable to have gluten, dairy, or egg. I had already pre-creeped the menu before arriving so I could find a meal that would be easy to hopefully adapt to my dietary restrictions. After explaining my restrictions Xhorxh was ON IT! He immediately spoke to the chef and the chef adapted my meal to my restrictions. Xhorxh did tell me that there could be a possible cross contamination with gluten on one of my sides and explained that they couldn’t guarantee that that one thing would be gluten free. Listen, not very often in the service industry do you come across a wait staff member or chef that made sure to cross all of the boxes. I ordered brussel sprouts as the appetizer without the cheese (I could have had three plates of that it was so good) and the cedar plank salmon and ordered two veggies as my side. IT was DELISH!!!!! Xhorxh also made sure that our drinks were constantly filled and took amazing care of our family. My MIL even made a comment after we received our meals how she really liked him as a waiter. I wished we had a Grand Tavern where we lived but unfortunately we are 8 hours away but we will absolutely be back when visiting family! ❤️“
