“This is a strictly take out/ delivery place so there is no dine in option. The storefront is purely functional and serves as semi storage for restaurant materials. That said, the food is good. I had a bad experience here maybe 12 years ago but it has clearly changed ownership and chefs since then. The food here is SOLID for that nostalgic American Chinese food! The hot and sour soup is epitome of what it should be (I was raised in my parents’ Chinese restaurants so I know) and the fried wing appetizers are terrific. My kids are obsessed. We also always get General Tso’s Chicken which every kid loves. I’ve also enjoyed Singapore noodles and Indonesian fried chicken ice here. Super glad to have a decent Chinese takeout in my neighborhood!“

“Visited the Golden Valley, MN location after a busy day. We didn’t realized they closed at 8:30 pm. There was a staff that was taking out the trash. Even though he said they were closed he still went above and beyond and served us. We were so grateful and appreciative of this incredible kindness and customer service!“

I’ve tried a few types, but the extra-thin ones in their soups are my favorite. Everything I’ve had so far has been great, full of flavor, and made with care. This place really fills a gap for something like this in Minneapolis, and I’m so happy to have it so close to home!“

“I have been eating at this restaurant since 1989 it is unfailing great every time I stop in. It almost doesnt matter what you get, it will be fresh, delicious and fairly priced. That said of particular note are three items that in my opinion must be tried as they are the best example of the item within hundreds of miles. The first is the Schezuan Wontons, absolutely perfect balance of flavors and a great way to whet your appetite. Second the garlic string beans, I have tried for twenty plus years to replicate these now that I live sixty five miles away and I'm getting close but still haven't quite got it down. Again the balance of salt and umami flavor makes my heart pitter patter and no other place in the cities even comes close. Third is the peanut noodles which can come hot or cold and are a perfect appetizer to the honey walnut shrimp. Come to think of it that is the fourth dish no one else comes close to. Corn starch dusted shrimp deep fried and tossed in a sweetened condensed milk sauce with orange zest and toasted carmelized walnuts is rich and decadent.
I'm bummed the Vietnamese coffee has been dropped from the menu but given it appears food regulations have killed the traditional way it was served everywhere in the cities maybe that is a good thing because the places that still have it don't make it the way they used to and it isn't as good now.“

“What can I say about spending 5 dollars for a good tasting, nutritious, food! They deserve an award for making the best chow mein for miles at 5 bucks! I haven't tasted better chow mein anywhere, ever. An I have never spent so low for food at a restaurant ever!

“House of Hui’s Chicken Chow Mein and Fried Rice (I'm sure everything else is amazing as well) is my absolute favorite! I grew up in Minnesota but have lived out of state for over 30years. No one in the south (this area) makes Chow Mein like House of Hui’s. This is always our first stop when we visiting!“

My daughter didn't know how to eat the crawfish or shrimp and the worker came over to show her. Absolutely awesome of them. Totally weird but the toilet paper was so nice. “We had a reservation for 7 - in the notes I specified 6 adults and a high chair. I could see our table had 7 adult seating's so I had to ask the hostess to fix that. Also specified we were there for a birthday celebration, again those notes must not make their way to the actual restaurant or they don't read them. When we checked in (we were 14 minutes early) for our reservation we were told we couldn't be seated until our actual reservation time. The restaurant had plenty of help and we didn't have our complete party with us which they knew and we were not expecting to order right away rather we just wanted to sit and relax. “I have driven by this restaurant hundreds of times. Never many cars in the parking lot. They do alot of take out orders. Today I decided to go there to look at the menue. I ordered the vegetable chow main. Wow, to my surprise it was the best Chinese dish I have had in a really long time. I will definitely go back again. Probably once a week. Take out pro es are great. In sum, delicious food! I'd say this is a contender for another mom's and pop's Chinese restaurant that also makes savory, delish, pork fried rice. Usually, I get very thirsty after eating Chinese take out, but this time was different. The level of salt in the food is perfect (not salty at all) and the amount we paid, about $8.95 to 9.95 per combo meal is excellent at this age and time.“

We come here often and even visited for Christmas dinner last year — our experience is consistently exceptional.

Right off the bat this place is CLEAN. Floors, tables, everything is really tidy and sanitary.
You'll be brought a pot complimentary jasmine tea right away which is heavenly. Truly the best jasmine tea I've had; not even remotely bitter tasting like other green teas. They must brew it very carefully.

The service is always speedy too, regardless of how busy it is, every time we are surprised by how quickly our fresh food is ready! They’re efficient in the kitchen.

Our favorite thing on the menu is the Garlic Fried Sole fish! It melts in your mouth and the portion size is massive so it's a perfect entree to split.

The Asia Mall is fun to check out before or after dinner; we like to walk around the market afterward and take home some milk teas and candy. Parking is easy with the lot out front.

This really is a great destination; ever since Pagoda moved to Roseville we’d been missing our favorite Cantonese dishes and HomeTaste is easily the best Cantonese / Chinese food in the western part of the twin cities.“

We live 35 minutes south of Mpls and this is the only Chinese takeout my family will have cuz they’re that GOOD!!!

The bun vermicelli noodle salad with pork meatballs and egg roll is refreshing and so tasty. A couple other excellent choices have been the Szechuan pork and the beef chow fun. Definitely give the pork egg rolls a try. The employees there are hard working, the perfect amount of attentive and very friendly. It’s definitely a hidden hole in the wall gem with excellent food and very friendly staff.“

A Chin Dynasty (2 half-entrees with rice) or an Imperial Plate (1 half-entree and 1 half-appetizer with rice) will usually result with leftovers for me. The Peking Chicken is a fan favorite. Miguel was working the dinner shift today and the speed and quality of service was excellent. I had take-out for dinner today. On other days when I've dinned inside for lunch it was hard to find a clean table.“
