“A hidden gem in the north suburbs. Easily some of the best authentic Mexican food in the metro. Personally the steak quesadilla is my favorite, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.“

“Highly recommend this hidden gem for a great deal on the BEST tacos al pastor in Minneapolis. Nachos al pastor is a particularly generous portion (I had already eaten half of it in the photo) and perfect to share. Chips are made fresh in house. Sit and enjoy your meal at the counter, then get back to your day. It's worth the trip.“

“I went twice during the insane "ICE" terror. First, to support a business then second because the food was excellent. The owner and workers there were so nice and pleasant despite the horror they were living through. I so much hate these gestapo raids on our immigrant communities. The Trump administration and all ice "employees" should be so ashamed of these tactics. They have hurt a lot of families and working people. I wish I had more disposal income to support this restaurant and many others. I definitely will be going back.“

Food 'Molcajete Mexicano' was packed full of flavor and Jorge (bar tender) who waited on us was EXCEPTIONALLY kind; made us feel more like family vs patrons. I live for Mexican food and honestly this food was really top of the list. Everyone at the table indicated that the food was the best tasting they have had for a Mexican fare. Not just saying this. “I wish it was a star point system to review. I usually love britos burrito. The location on Nicollet is really convenient for me. I would probably give it three stars. I always ask for one scoop of rice and they always give me extra. I ask for a little bit of corn and they put a heaping scoop on the one thing that really frustrates me is that when I ask for extra cheese, they put a pinch on and if I ask for more, they get angry and tell me that I’m going to have to pay for it. The service leaves a lot to be desired, but the pricing is good, which is why it is three stars and not five.“

“Love this place! I always have a shredded beef dish of some sort. I know it's homemade as a couple of times I have found a bay leaf inside my burrito or taco. Good thing I always add a bit of salsa to my stuff and check. I love sitting at the bar and trying the 3 different salsas that are available as a help yourself buffet style along with delicious chips. Love the margaritas but now I am spoiled, I tried one with Milagro silver tequila on the rocks. It is excellent! The Columbia Heights locale is my favorite, and I have tried each of the others! I have yet to try the patio in the summertime, so I can't tell you about it. The stained glass windows are amazing! Busy bustling place! I love it! And the staff is excellent! If I want to change an option on the menu, the staff is very accommodating. I would give this place 5 stars! I always take family and friends to La Casita Mexican Restaurant - Columbia Heights, MN when they come to visit!“

I tried the beef ramen, honestly not good, felt like an after thought meal. I wanted to try something different on cold night. I don't even care because everything else I've had here is that delicious and staff are helpful with pronouncing menu items as well as suggestions for all the different protein options. Daily specials and loaded Cubano have been notes of joy. The pork sliced from the flame rotisserie with shredded mango made me forget about the ramen. I think about their food all the time but try to only go if someone has never been or someone who knows, knows. When I said Authentic, I meant food as well as genuine costumer service.
