“Overall great prices and amazing food! I enjoy going there with my friends since a lot of the meals are shareable which makes the experience even better. I will say if you come during a rush hour, you’re most likely going to be added to the waitlist and if I’m correct you usually have to put yourself on the waitlist once you arrive since they don’t really do call-ins. Other than that, this place is truly a must and I enjoy every little thing about this restaurant.“

“This was such a cute little family owned restaurant. While it looked like most people picked up for delivery, you can eat in and they give you paper plates. We ordered the popcorn chicken which had fried basil in it and it was so unexpected and delicious! My littles loved the stir fry noodles. Also unexpected was what they called Chicken Chili stir fry! The pork belly melted in our mouths!! Absolutely delicious. We will be back“

“NO vegetables in Shrimp St. Paul sandwich. Sweet & Sour Shrimp was 1 container of plain white rice, NO vegetables anywhere, the "shrimp" (2/3 plain fried breading & 1/3 shrimp) was NOT cooked in sweet & sour sauce, and packed separately. Quality is now abominable.“

“A back alley restaurant with absolutely bussn food! Small and can get crowded quick but the food comes out quick. I had the best lo mein of my life here. The vibe is exactly what you'd expect so you know the food is going to be amazing.“

“I had one night in St Louis after traveling to Springfield,IL for work. When I say the food that I ate in STL was better than my week in IL(Chicago excluded obvs)!
All anybody from STL talks about is their dagger on Chinese food! All this time i definitely doubted it since I'm from North Jersey and have access to the best Chinese in America. However STL is doing Chinese like NYC and Jersey used to do in the 90s!
I got shrimp fried rice only and ive been thinking about that rice for days! They gave a healthy amount of shrimp and they weren't mini shrimp that you barely recognize as shrimp. The egg, beansprouts, scallions..everything was great!
But the true deciding moment was that the rice was cooked perfectly and no added sauce was needed! 10/10
If youre looking for the STL Chinese food people brag about. Try this spot!“

“Movoc Hot Pot was a whole experience 🔥 I built a custom seafood pot loaded with fresh shrimp, mussels, fish, and veggies in a rich, flavorful broth. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. Fun, interactive dining that’s perfect for date night or pulling up with the crew. Definitely going back.“

“Food is fabulous... Parking is a bit questionable. Street parking or get stuck in the parking lot. This place has been at the corner of Goodfellow and Nat Bridge for years and years... And is always busy!! Arguably one of the best places to get Chinese food!!“

“This review is for the bakery ONLY. Everytime we go to St. Louis, we stop here (We live at the Lake of the Ozarks). The mini custard pies are amazing, try the fried, sesame seed balls which are filled with two different kinds of bean custard, both are delicious.
The yeast buns are stuffed with a variety of sweets and cheeses and are killer. On the right side of the shop as you enter, there are usually a few versions of the Dim Sum they serve next door in the restaurant and they are all DELICIOUS!
I've purchased the Duck & the deep fried pork hanging in the window, several times & it's been legit. We buy half a duck because there's only 3 of us, but plenty. I always order a small order of their rice so we can eat our duck at the hotel.
It can be VERY crowded on the weekends, so come as soon as they open. There's usually only the one lady working the register and dude chopping up the duck & pork, but they're fast. A++++ It's not cheap but it's soooo worth it.“

“Thank you Xièxiè nǐ! for one of the best customer service experiences since being back in the area! Your smiles and words shone during ordering, and when you came out to bring me our food! The egg dishes, such as St. Paul's and Egg Food Young, seem to contain double the eggs compared to other restaurants. I will be back to try the Teriyaki Chicken as you requested! Also, I love your presentation with the egg foo young! It keeps the egg warmer!“

“Decided to try a new dish somewhere new to me. This was the best of Chinese options. Small. Unpretentious. Cheap. My entire lunch special was $6.99. I can't remember what I last saw prices like this, and the food was great. A little sweet. A little spicy.“

“Northside STL staple slingin’ classic Chinese takeout! Happy Box delivers that Gateway comfort punch, crab rangoon droppin’ sweet heat (crunch dialed up next round).$10+ holds strong; wings/fries combo ($11) callin’ my name—Grand Ave ready to wow. Neighborhood anchor, chop suey swagger. ★★★★☆“

“This is my fourth time in St. Louis, and each time I've randomly ordered Chinese food, which has always been quite ordinary. This time, I ordered from this restaurant, and I think it's the best lo mein I've ever had. The large portion of lo mein was generous, and the noodles were very fresh! The General Tso's chicken was also plentiful and tasted good. If I come to St. Louis again, I will definitely visit this little restaurant again! By the way, the guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful!“

“Ok im not from St Louis but I really wanted to try rethink place because Mr Chimetime reviewed it and said it was good and guess what it was. The fried rice was a 10 outta 10 the St Paul needed more seasoning. The place looks a little sketchy but it was worth it. A lot of people were ordering the duck im try that next time.“

“The restaurant was extremely quiet as I was the only one there. The food and service were wonderful, pleasant and fast! The atmosphere was a good vibe but, they had fans running which is fine but, on a warm day like today air would've been better. I will be back with my family!!“

“This restaurant appears to have been a drive in at some point so pulling into the parking lot is kind of cool. Once you get out of your car, you go inside and order your food. They were doing a brisk carry out business, obviously they were very well known in the neighborhood. We chose to eat in one of the booths. Yes, it wouldn't hurt if someone did a bit of cleaning around the windows, but we weren't too put off and really enjoyed our meals. Would return.“

“I frequently dine out at places like Pei Wei but Pei Wei has become my new favorite. That is due in no small part to Jacinta, one of the employees. They were having a bit of a mid afternoon rush and she was acting as the cashier, server, bus person and just about everything else associated with front of house in a restaurant. She really hustled and took care of everyone efficiently and with a smile. Honestly if I wasn’t retired and was still in business I would try to steal her away. I’ve eaten at Pei Wei for lunch the last three days and I don’t see that trend stopping anytime soon.“

“Solid chop suey spot in the county. They are still serving up what I’m starting to think of as soul Chinese food. The box of rice we grew up on. It’s hot, reasonably priced, salty, and good. I hate how dirty the outside is and I wish they gave us a better experience but as long as the rice is good and the shrimp are clean, I’ll be back.“

“The food here was really good. Would say excellent... but they forgot my fish plate. When I went back to get it ... it was ok ... but not what I was expecting. The atmosphere is horrible. You will have to fight through tweaker to get your food as they are posted up in the resteraunt, outside the door ... and they will walk up to your car.“

“Very cute spot for my birthday brunch. Soft atmosphere with gentle yet commonly heard pop songs. The space is clean and well managed. The service was okay. There was only one staff member working which I feel is reasonable considering it wasn’t extremely busy. The food was tasty. I do wish the menu and experience was better explained to my group. Overall, cute little spot in a wonderful area.“

“I live in Atlanta now & the Chinese food pales in comparison to my hometown of St Louis. That said, when I come home I have to have some immediately. This time I happened to get in on Sunday. I was lucky to find one open. I called it in and was there in less than 15 minutes. The wings were great & piping hot! The vegetable egg foo young and shrimp fried rice had me moaning with pleasure. Whenever I come back home this St Louis Kitchen will be my first stop. The staff was friendly even though it was closing time for them.“

“Please ignore atmosphere and ambience because this place doesn’t have that….I kid you not, the BEST Chinese food especially the fried rice. Jon’s been going strong for over 40 years and you better know your order when you come in or call or NEXT.“

Ok this has only happened at the QT, that's it, I ordered and they bought it out, I tipped also..the food was great, the mom that bought it out....RESPECT look at the condiments!!!,the food was piping hot I had to take my teeth out because..whewww.. “They have great service it's best to call in ahead of time and go pick it up they have the best special fried rice they actually put stuff in it not like a lot of the other places that charge you a lot of money and give you nothing they're very generous great “

“This is everything I expected out of a high quality delicious Chinese takeout restaurant. I stopped by the shopping mall a little skeptical from the reviews due to price concerns but the prices are justified. The negative reviews I saw were about price and that they could get Chinese food at a cheaper price. Yeah, sure. So can I and I could have it delivered to me. This restaurant has me converted to drive to it because it's outside my delivery area. Seriously, if you want good Chinese food order here regardless of price. If you just want cheap food regardless of taste, order elsewhere I guess but this is a good quality restaurant.“

“Had the great pleasure of working next door to China Kitchen, It was my go to spot for lunch and I would alternate between the orange chicken and General Tzo chicken with crab Rangoon. They get the food out in a pretty reasonable time and it’s great for taking to go.“

“This is a hole in the wall Chinese place. It is an old gas station. The waiting area is a very uninviting, and somewhat prison like atmosphere. Honestly, some of the patrons are threatening and sketchy. I am not a fan of the neighborhood, but it is close to the VA, Powell Hall, and the Fox theater.
I got the special fried rice half order“

“I’m from STL but moved to Nashville. Everytime I come home I GOTTA go to China moon. The crab Rangoon never fails, sweet, hot, and abundant. The rice is really good too. I’m mainly a St. Paul person so that’s what I usually get and absolutely love it! And I got more of my family switching to them as well!“

“This is a great little hole in the wall but amazing Chinese restaurant! I stumbled upon it while having a craving for Hot & Sour soup. The location is easy to get to off Lindbergh. I was amazing how many locals were inside ordering food and taking it to go. It seems to be mostly a to go spot. I was given some recommendations right there from some of their most loyal customers. Hands down their general tso chicken was indeed great. And the soup I craved didn’t disappoint! I’ll be back.“

“No dine in option is available only take out. The hot braised chicken boneless was well seasoned and plenty of sauce noted. I asked for rice without white onion and it was still white onion in the rice. The crab ragoon the way that it was wrapped was the lazy way. It was just folded in half like a triangle. It was good though and and you saw the imitiation crab meat in it.
Dietary restrictions: They do have vegetarian options“

“The service that I received was A1. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The St. Paul was probably the best I've ever had. The ingredients seemed very fresh and they sprinkled a little salt on top of the St. Paul patty which was a pleasant surprise for my taste buds. The hot braised chicken is good. The crab rangoon is really good. The fried rice isn't anything to brag about in my opinion though it's not bad by any means. It's a mix between the cities dark fried rice and the county's typical light colored rice. I'd probably opt for steamed white rice next time. My only complaint is that there was a man sitting inside asking everyone for money. He wasn't rude by any means but it made me uncomfortable. With all that said, I'd still go back because the food was really good overall.“
