“First off, Sabrina our server was absolutely amazing, delightful and she was upbeat and did a great job. She even had a cocktail made for my father. I had two smoked old fashioneds, we enjoyed the bang bang shrimp, Imperial dip, our main courses and even desserts Dad had the Bourbon brownie and I enjoyed my Drunken coconut pie. Sabrina was super sweet, energetic and she went over the top, not just for us but for multiple tables. She is an absolute blessing to have as our waitress. The inside is very vintage, white tablecloth, but the vibes are very cozy and casual. We were served by the ever so lovely Sierra. AND SHE DESERVES HER FLOWERS AND A RAISE. She suggested this amazing wine called the menage a trois, and so kind and personable. “I don't typically write food reviews and if I do it's either you're horrible or you're amazing. I stop by today because I was craving buffalo fish. My mom used to make it all the time and she passed away last year in May. Their debit machine was down and I only had $10 in cash and I told them I'll be right back. Thank goodness my brother stays around the corner and I was able to come back. The customer service was amazing and the fish was delicious. I was able to stop at my grandmother's house who is almost 90 years old and share some with her. Needless to say she love the fish too and I'll be back next weekend to buy her a plate! ♥“

Not only was every piece we received so delicious from the bread to the actual dishes, but the service was 10/10 and we had so much support from the staff to make our experience memorable. The workers would even apologize when reaching over you to fill your water, like hello I should be the one apologizing for being in the way! Every single bite was heavenly and the portions are big so I was able to enjoy leftovers later too. It’s definitely on the pricier side because it’s a fancy restaurant but nothing that I believe isn’t worth it. I will 100% come back when I can! It’s also connected to a hotel so if you are ever visiting Saint Louis and want to experience the Italian relevance of the Hill, this is totally a great option.“

“Kreis' is old school, and that's not a bad thing. So many establishments like these are falling out of favor, but they're so necessary. Propriety. Decorum. They have a place and you'll find them here. Impeccable service. Impeccable dining. And they were spot on about the prime rib. This is the best I've had since Vegas in 1996. Kreis' prime rib is my new #1. We'll be back the next time we're in town.“

In years of searching for REAL Mexican food in St Louis, I’ve had many disappointments. This place was absolutely fantastic and pure pleasure for an old Texan. It even made me shhh my wife because I wasn’t willing to remove my focus from the delicacy I was partaking in. Can’t recommend this place enough and haven’t been able to stop telling others about it. “I had the BEST breakfast sandwich burger at Wakey Wakey last week while I was staying at the attached hotel for a women's conference. It was huge & I had to cut it in half & save the rest. Our server Sam was the one who made the suggestion to try it & he was right in his suggestion! He even told me how to reheat it so that it would come out even better than the first time it was served. Our drinks were never less than half full & he was very attentive. You can really tell he takes pride in his work! I also want to note that the breakfast potatoes are AMAZING & I will definitely be going back to get them again! “Recently ate there, really by accident, we had tickets for an early performance at the Fox theater, but had no reservations. Had waited at another restaurant which was clear we would not have time to eat, and catch the performance. So we went across the street to try Gary’s. The 5 of us got right in, our waiter was fantastic, he was so talented, and great with my granddaughters. Ate a wonderful meal, everyone liked their selection. We did not have time for dessert so the waiter brought us each of us over a piece of chocolate cake with our meals.😊 we will be going back to Gary’s, because of the service and food. We ordered the Shanghai Bamboo Soup, braised duck, Pork Shank, steamed pork in lotus leaf, and beef with Hangzhou peppers. Everything was delicious!

The Shanghai Bamboo Soup was rich and comforting, and the house-cured pork gave the broth so much flavor. The beef with Hangzhou peppers was incredibly tender and probably one of my favorite dishes. The Pork Shank was huge, fall-apart tender, and packed with flavor. Definitely recommend ordering it if you're sharing with a group.
