“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pictured below is the Gonzo calzone- Salami, dates, spinach, garlic herb cheese, mozzarella, mascarpone-ricotta blend, and garlic oil with garlic butter on the side. My husband looked at me like I was crazy when I read off dates but the slight sweetness against all of that savory is what made it!! We also tried the Fatty B, Meat me in St Louie, Magic Carpet Ride, and the Gyro. They were all amazing but the Gonzo and the Gyro were my favorites. The Magic Carpet Ride is also a must try if you're into mushrooms.“

“Robert enthusiastically greeted us upon our arrival. He is very personable and professional. We were impressed with his pizza ingredient knowledge, regarding all the different kinds. Our all meat. Pizza was piping hot and delicious! The ingredients were obviously fresh. Both bathrooms were clean. The floor and the tables were spotless, awaiting their next guests. Recently we reserved their front room which holds a max of 16, I believe. They went out of their way to make the setting perfect (even bringing in a small table for our use). Our waiter, Karen, was discreet in providing us perfect service without interrupting our shared conversation/memories as we were toasting a dear friend on her birthday. I can’t say enough about how flawless they made our luncheon. Bartolinos will remain our favorite not only for the quality of the food but for their personal attention.“

“Paul Manno’s is the one thing I miss more than the Cardinals baseball games since retiring in 2004. I took my brother there a few years before that, and he said it was the best Italian he had anywhere in the country, and he traveled a lot. I always recommended Paul’s whenever new people came in our flower shop, and EVERYONE agreed with my brother and me. I hounded Gourmet Magazine until they reviewed them. Good enough for MNF Aikman, Buck & Collingsworth! My number one choice in the country.“

“We have always enjoyed our dining experience at Roberto’s. The food is great, service is great and the atmosphere is great. HOWEVER, they need to improve in two areas. Every time I have asked for a little horseradish. They don’t have any. So next time, I’ll bring my own. The other is the amount of sour crème provided with your huge potato is inadequate. I asked for a little more and they charged me an additional fifty cents! I can’t believe that I’m paying $240 for a meal and they want to ding me fifty cents for a dollop of sour crème. How petty.“

“The large salads are large. My rookie mistake was ordering a large salad and a calzone. It was too much food. I ordered the fatty B and it was fantastic. I usually don't enjoy canzone because the crust is hard pizza crust. Not so at sauce on the side. The crust is almost pastry tezture.
Fountain drinks are so carbonated that you can taste the CO2. The only issue. Customer service was ourstanding.“

“We recently moved “locally” and Our trying out new restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised with “A’mis” Took Our four kids there for lunch today. The ENTIRE dining area was full, yet the short staffed staff did not miss a beat. Drinks filled, food brought out, they did forget silverware but They were SO busy and also so on top of it! Truly impressed as a former server and hostess back in the day. My kids finished the cheese sticks in less than 5 minutes. The fettuccini was amazing, and so was the New York style pizza. The house dressing is good as well. On top of that the wait staff was so friendly and kind to Us. You sometimes sadly get dirty looks bringing 4 kids under 13 into a restaurants alone, even if they are well behaved! We will be back!!! Thank-You!“

They were patient (we're a loud bunch!), checked on us without being a nuisance, and accommodated some late-comers with adding onto the end of one of the big tables. “I was recently in the Clayton, MO area for a work trip and decided to try this place out for lunch with a colleague since it was walking distance from my company’s corporate office… I was definitely not disappointed. The food was excellent!

The two very good things that this place gets it right with their calzones are that their crusts are just perfect (not to thick, not thin, not too bread like) and just has the right amount of cheese. A lot of places tend to over do it with the amount of cheese they stick in the calzone to the point that all you really taste is just the cheese and no longer the crust or the other fillings.

The entire staff was friendly and the service was quick. They also have a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The place was also very clean which is always a very big plus. They also had a good selection of salads which I will definitely try when I’m back in the area.“
