Wifey and I are celebrating our 43rd anniversary and it was suggested to come to Jack Stack.
We arrived after a long day of visiting in downtown KC and we're really tired and hungry. They said it would be over an hour and a half to wait and we were very dismayed and saddened.... UNTIL KELLY CAME FLYING IN WITH HER CAPE FLAPPING BEHIND HER!
She had a table that she was able to relinquish. It made our anniversary very very special. Not to mention the dessert celebration on the house.

“I had the big pig sandwich with fries. The sandwich was excellent, as usual. However, they changed the fries. They were great, now nothing special. I think before they were seasoned and had fewer short ones pointed at both ends. My gluten sensitive wife had her usual - brisket, turkey and loaded baked potato.“

“Great experience, our waitress was outstanding & the food was super good. I had the baked potato with burnt ends which I hesitated about but so glad I got it as it was very very tasty. It came with a delicious salad & honestly the salad was big enough for 2. My husband has ribs & loved them. It was pretty noisy but not distracting enough to enjoy ourselves.“

“My parents came from CO to KS to purchase a new car and the guy at the dealership recommended Smoke Town BBQ to them for dinner. They went over and found that it was closed, but Brian was outside and they struck up a conversation. My parents joked that they’d driven all the way from CO for some good BBQ and Brian was kind enough to go inside and bring them out some food to try. Luckily for me, they brought some back to CO to share and even as leftovers the next day, the burnt ends were DELICIOUS!!! What a kind and thoughtful person and business, and delicious food! “I was looking for something different and the brisket Rangoon caught my eye on line and brought me in. The thought of bbq thai fusion was intriguing. I was greeted immediately but was on my own so opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu, the food and the business. I told her I had come in for the rangoon and told her I didn’t want straight Thai or straight BBQ but to pick anything she would recommend. I told her I have a high heat tolerance, no weird food allergies and like just about everything. She chose the red curry burnt ends with steamed rice. The manager joined us and we all had great conversation about the food, food in general and their sister restaurant Muni in the River Market. Food, service, presentation and atmosphere were all fantastic. All of the recommendations were spot on. I look forward to my next opportunity.“

“Don’t sleep on the corned beef burnt ends. OMG! So good! Not a fan of the cheesy corn. It was weirdly sweet and the sauce was king of clumpy/grainy. The fried corn bread bites were tasty, sweet cornbread. We didn’t even think to snap a picture after the first taste of that corned beef!“

I had some green beans son had some of the huge famous beer battered potato wedges. Hot, fresh, tasty for $11.99. Both of us took decent amount home as well. Back home, in the quiet comfort of my own space, I tucked in, and wasn’t disappointed. Second time trying their stake, I will go there again. Both flavor and portion size hit the mark. The fresh salad went untouched until the next morning, when it made for a perfect breakfast. All in all, it was another excellent ‘Car-Nivore’ experience, proof that LongHorn knows how to deliver a well-done steak that satisfies. I give them 5 stars 🌟 for that.“

“Ok, before we start with the food, let me begin with the service, our friend Arron (AC) is the one of the best in the business, now please start with an appetizer/side dish such as my wife’s favorite brussels sprouts flavored with a chipotle butter, or super wings, Mac & cheese with bits of real bacon, where do I go from here? I’m a bit old fashioned but the chopped steak is awesome, omg the ribeye, shrimp and the list is nearly endless. This is one of our favorite places to dine.“
