“"From the moment I stepped into The Crossing in Clayton, I knew I was in for a remarkable dining experience. The exceptional service began with Sunny, who skillfully handled my reservation, and continued with David's warm welcome at the door. My server, Joshua, was simply outstanding, ensuring that my visit was nothing short of perfect. What truly set this experience apart was the meticulous attention to dietary restrictions for both me and my guests. It's rare to find a restaurant that genuinely cares and accommodates with such grace. The meal was unforgettable, leaving me talking about it for weeks. But the cherry on top was a chance encounter with Joseph on the sidewalk days later. His genuine follow-up about my experience showcased a level of care and knowledge that is unparalleled in the industry. The Crossing in Clayton is not just a restaurant; it's an experience where the staff goes above and beyond, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking culinary excellence and exceptional service."“

“We were excited to try the Tavern tonight for the first time. We were a bit underwhelmed. I only got 3 scallops for a $45 entree (even Disney will give you 4 for the same price). Additionally, the fries and baked cookie had a burnt aftertaste from the oven. For $150, we thought it was significantly overpriced for what we got.“

The only challenge we ever have is sometimes there is a wait.... but that is a wonderful problem to have for us... and ALSO we now have a waitlist that you can join online... so having to wait is soon to be a problem of the past!PRO TIP #1: When I am working on Sat & Sun as the host... say the code-phrase "I go Coo-Coo-for-Cocoa-Puffs" to me and I will move you to the front of the list!PRO TIP #2: "Rutti-Tutti-Fresh-And-Fruity" also works as the code-phrasePRO TIP #3: This DOES NOT work on anyone else at The Barn, just me!“

“We realize it was Valentine's Day, so that may have been the culprit here. But... we were encouraged to order all our courses up front, which we won't do again. Each subsequent course arrived long before we were finished with the previous one, leading to a crowded table and a sense of being rushed, which wasn't what we were seeking for a VD meal.... Food delicious, wait staff lovely, all else good. But timing of the courses was oblivious to the pace of consumption.“

“The food was below par but everything else was great. I got a table right away and was served by Kaitlyn. If you are able to request being in her section, do it! I was never worried about waiting to oder and when I did, my drink came very soon after. I got the garlic French dip and I think it's over priced for how little good lean meat you get. A few bites had too chewy of fat. Half of the homemade chips were crispy so that was nice, but I would've loved every chip to be able to break in half and not bend.Still, you should go and give this place a shot!“

“Ice & Fuel is my go-to spot for what I feel is the best burger in STL. The cooked-to-order freshness is outstanding. With fresh, crisp vegetables and sides, it's hard to beat. If your cardiologist is more forgiving than mine, get a side of onion rings! Drinks are cheaper than most places and the pours are perfect. The staff is always courteous and attentive. Frequent visits and you'll be remembered - that's a great part of going here. My one complaint: It is loud. Very loud. Between 5 and 7 you're probably not going to have a few cocktails and catch up with friends. If yelling people is your thing, you'll love it! Overall Ice & Fuel is a great, underrated beer and burger joint. Check it out!“

“This was our first visit to this restaurant. No wait for a table at 7PM on a Thursday. Nice atmosphere, casual, quiet enough to hold a conversation. Good table spacing. Very pleasant greeting and seating experience. Service was prompt, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. We ordered a salad - split - as a starter and the sirloin steak and pork and dumplings as entrées. Salad was well presented and unique. Nicely chilled. Wine by the glass was excellent. Entrées came out quickly and well presented. House cut steak was thick and perfectly rare, as requested. Delicious! Diced potato, fresh green beans and house made steak sauce surrounding the steak. Pork dish was a complex assembly of ingredients - pulled pork, small dumplings, fennel, sauce with shaved hard cheese topping. Both dishes were delicious and huge portions. Only knock was both dishes were very salty. I have seen this comment before in reviews of this restaurant. I recommend when ordering to ask for less salt. My wife is an acknowledged salt-a-holic and it was a little too much for her. Without the salt dosage this is a 5 star food rating! We will visit again.“

“The food was different. Not exactly the pizza I expected, especially for the price. Some of the pineapples tasted iffy. The salad was an excellent mix of greens and chicken. Some cheese would have nice. You line up to order, and they bring your food to the table AND still expect a tip. It's pretty much the same service as many fast food places. It was nice to have real utensils and napkins. That was a good touch. The dining room was neat and mostly clean. Some of the staff were very friendly and some....not so much.Parking: Even after the rush, parking was sparse.Wheelchair accessibility: It is.“

“Saturday evening, no wait time. Waitress-Kaylin- was attentive and in tune with her tables (drink refills, more napkins, etc.). I gave a lower score for atmosphere because the high top chairs need replaced. I had to switch 1 out for being very wobbly, and mine had a wobble to it but I had to deal with it. “People here are very nice but it seems they are so used to their script and laying it on so thick that when a person walks in and just wants to see a menu they get confused.I am in town on a business trip and I have some dietary limitations so I wanted to see if they had menu items that fit my diet and my expense limitations. It seemed like I made the woman's head explode when I asked to see a menu and after the fact she kind of made me feel like she thought there was something wrong with me.The rest of the experience was nice but the older ladies there lay it on pretty thick with their interactions with you. The younger ladies seem to be a bit more real with you. I don't fault these ladies for working super hard for their tips and I applaud them for doing so because it must be super exhausting for them because the level of effort they put in to it is extreme. The prices are reasonable, the people there are nice, and the food is good so I would definitely recommend this place.“
