I wanted somewhere I would feel comfortable lounging ( comfortable chairs and various rooms/spaces, warm, good zibe) and working. I was not looking for a sleek sterile coffeehouse. I loved it that people can draw or write on the walls and that even though this was done with sharpies, I didn't see any evidence of ill will or critiquing if others. I was offered a sharpie myself not long after I arrived. what a great place! I'll be back whenever I pass through Charlotte. did I mention that the pistachio baklava latte was delicious? real pistachios! just right sweetness.”

“We really enjoyed Aura! We ordered 3 drinks and the BBQ sliders and they were delicious!! The drinks were a bit too strong for us but still pretty good! And sliders tasted really good, just a little too fatty for us but overall we loved the ambiance and the service! The prices were a bit high but it's to be expected at a high end hotel on the rooftop! We also enjoyed some time at the pool which is heated year round and of course the view at night was beautiful! There are bathrooms located right by the entrance when you walk back into the hotel so we changed right after we had our food and drinks! Overall was a nice experience! You do have to keep in mind what area you want to sit at when you reserve. We wanted to sit on a loveseat closer to the edge but were told that you have to put that on the reservation! Now we know for next time!”

We had Cole as our server and regardless of how busy it was that night, he made us feel like we were his only priority. He was very knowledgeable about your massive spirit selections and I mean massive! The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. We got the Really Good Burger and let me tell you, we said medium and it was on point! It was very well seasoned which is rare when you go out to restaurants. Then to top off the night, my daughter got the beignets with the cold brew icing, WOW! I am a sweets person and these with that icing just WOW! Cole even put a candle on the rim of the dish because it was her birthday! So, you have our business any time we are in Charlotte! I just can’t say enough about our experience!!! You have a great place, amazing food, a wonderful spirits collection, and definitely not last or least a fantastic server in Cole!! “So refreshing to have something like Rada in Charlotte. My husband and I enjoyed celebrating our anniversary here! I felt like I was in SF or DC. Every dish we said “wow, this is so unique… these flavors…” etc etc. Each dish was carefully prepared and thought through. We did 2 small plates, 2 mediums, and a large, and it was plentyyy of food. The tri-tip… no words! The ravioli with fresh tomatoes… divine.

Eclectic environment, yet cozy and welcoming. We loved that every runner was different, it felt like we met the entire restaurant in just an hour and a half.

As a small biz owner, I applaud the owners and managers behind here. It takes a ton of guts and courage to open a restaurant, and they did so with gusto. I look forward to supporting however I can. Congrats team!!”

We had great service from our server Noah, who was very quick to take our drink order and provided attentive service for our entire dinner. We both ordered a Chimichangas (my wife had the chicken and I had the beef). Both were delicious, well seasoned and served hot. (fwiw) noted the staff were sweeping and cleaning the restaurant tables quickly, after a table turned.”

“A rare gem in Charlotte yes it can be found in a strip mall like so many spots here. Your not coming for the location. Your coming for some of the best food made in Charlotte. We had a few more people show up to our after-party than we expected in our reservation, but the staff just pulled over another table for us so would have room. The manager was heading out for the evening when we were seated, but he came back in just to congratulate us and thank us for celebrating with them. He also brought out a bottle of champagne for us, which was an unexpected but very nice gesture. The cocktails themselves were also delicious. “A night to remember at The McNinch House 🌹✨ Growing up, my Dad wasn’t just an industrial engineer—he was a hobby chef with serious skills. He spent his childhood in restaurants, and at home, he brought that magic to our table. I didn’t grow up eating “normal kid food,” and to this day, he’s the best cook I know. My love for food? 100% from him. The McNinch House has been on my list for over a decade—and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Executive Chef Eric O’Connor, who joined just a year ago, blew us away. We had the 4-course tasting menu (I truly don’t know how people survive the 5-course!), and every dish was a standout: *Corn & Clam Chowder – the cream is everything *Bone Marrow – best I’ve ever had *Lamb Lollipops (my husbands) – best I’ve ever had; perfectly cooked *Pork Wellington (my husbands) – the basil took it over the top *Snapper Succotash – the bacon made it *Crème Brûlée – perfectly done From the surprise oyster starter (cool presentation served in a shell over ice) to the palate-cleansing sorbet between courses, every detail was thoughtful and special. Chef Eric personally served our entrée—how cool is that? The service was impeccable, with a main server and 2-3 others helping throughout. At the end, they even handed me a freshly picked rose from their garden. 💐 We dined in a historic 1800s home filled with charm, and afterward strolled through the garden—flowers everywhere, twinkle lights, fountains, and the Charlotte skyline in view. I had to ask for the chef’s autograph and a photo—he’s just that good. We told him he deserves a star, and he smiled and said, “We’re on the list.” So now I’m shouting from the rooftops: let’s help make that Michelin star happen! He absolutely deserves it. Thank you, Chef Eric and the entire McNinch House team, for one of the most enchanting, romantic, and memorable meals I’ve ever had in Charlotte. The whole evening—2.5 hours of pure joy—was not just dinner, it was an experience. ❤️”

“We had an awesome experience at Chex Grill & Wings after visiting Beat The Bomb for my daughter’s birthday celebration! I had a group of five 10-year-olds (plus a few others), and the staff was incredibly patient as the kids figured out what they wanted to order. They even let us sample the chicken wings before choosing—huge win! The wings were delicious—especially the Strawberry Hot flavor, which is now officially my favorite! While we were enjoying our food, a man came in and sat down nearby—we thought he was just another customer, but it turns out he was the owner! He was so kind and invited my daughter (the birthday girl) and her friend to take on the 60-second wing challenge for a chance to win $50. My daughter won, and when the owner asked if she wanted to give her $50 to her friend, she said yes—and then he surprised her by giving her $100! Such a kind and thoughtful gesture. To top it all off, the staff sang Happy Birthday to my daughter and brought her a slice of cake. 🥹❤️ The avocado side salad was also super fresh and tasty. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly, and the service was fast. Highly recommend—this place made our celebration so special!”

We tried the spinach feta pastry, Dubai chocolate brownie, pistachio milk cake, pistachio latte, and the salted caramel Frappéccino. Everything was absolutely delicious—my favorite was the brownie! The place is super clean, comfortable, and has such a welcoming vibe.
