“My wife and I love The Fourk. We visit Hickory often. I'm originally from NY, on our first visit our Waiter was Dave. Great guy and awesome conversations. We missed him this last visit, however, Tasha was also a fantastic Waitress. We loved The Burrata, and my lady was delighted with The Jumbo Scallops. I just can't stray away from your Fourk Chop. I'll try something else next time.“

“My mother in law and her boyfriend brought my husband and I here right after we got married 😂 so, I may be biased because now it holds a special place in my heart. But, the food was good and the service was fast. I really had no complaints. They have a kids menu so my daughter was able to get her normal chicken and fries.

“We were traveling through Hickory and decided to stop in. We ordered the crab cakes, calamari, and jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab meat. All were seasoned very well and delicious. The service was awesome. We live an hour and a half away, but the food was so delicious we are considering returning soon 😊.“

“I am so happy that my indecisive self decided to give this place a try. I have not been impressed with most of the establishments in the area. My wife and I usually travel to Asheville for good food. On a Sunday there weren’t a lot of options. We decided to give backstreets a try. It’s been years since I ate here and didn’t remember. She got Cajun chicken pasta and I got possibly the best Rueben I’ve had in years. I’d say the pasta is better than Cheesecake Factory. The only negative thing was the judgy couple sitting beside us. However, they cannot control who comes through their doors. The service was excellent and I’m so happy I found a place I am happy with locally.“

“I had a bad day. Like arguing w my teenager, dealing with passive aggressive vibes at work, family sick, overwhelmed, everything going wrong type of day. Called like three restaurants and they were all closed bc of the holiday. Temaki answered and took my order and it was ready in 15mins. The food was amazing. Hot, fresh, huge portions, completely exceeding all my expectations and I’ve been here before. The man at the window asked if I’d like a drink and i declined. He said, “it’s on us- Pepsi or tea?” He proceeded to give me the biggest sweet tea and the biggest smile. It was the first good thing that happened to me all day. Amazing food and amazing people.“

“Delicious Hmong food all around! The sticky rice was perfectly soft, and the Hmong sausage was moist and flavorful. The stuffed chicken wing was tasty, and the papaya salad had the ideal balance of salty, sour, and spicy. The crispy pork belly was packed with flavor, and the Nava drink was refreshingly sweet. The décor could benefit from some tidying up—hiding the back counters and removing the room dividers would create a more polished, upscale feel and show greater attention to detail in the overall atmosphere.“

Every appetizer, entree, and dessert are delicious and beautifully plated. The atmosphere is upscale without being stuffy. Prices are in line with the food and service received. All staff are excellent, and we particularly appreciate the warm welcome we always receive from Jack. We are very thankful to have such an excellent restaurant in our hometown!“
