“🚨 🚨 ‼️ ‼️ Long Post Alert so just a heads up if you want a read ahead of your stay or if you’re a local and just want to know what the inlanders feel about this local gem on the shores of the Outer Banks. My wife and I spent our honeymoon last week in KH and all we can say about this place is, our bank probably thinks we moved in there. But for Good reason. From the time you walk in the door and are greeted by the hosts, to taking a peak in the gift shop. There is everything for everyone in this convenient beachside bar and restaurant. We made our way to the back side of the bar and were immediately greeted by Ryan who explained what the daily specials were and offered us a cocktail, all the while with a smile on his face. We chose the 1/2 lb shrimp, and as much shrimp as we ate at some other locations (over 20) this right here…hands down best on the coast. The ambiance is inviting and rewarding with just the step up from your seat and you have a beautiful view of the famous dunes and the Atlantic. The conscience of this place is unmatched. Once your belly’s are good and full, you’re just a few steps away from your toes in the sand and what better way to walk of some great food than with your toes in the water. We also dabbled in other specials of the day, unique beachside cocktails and I promise you, some of the BEST conversations with locals and bartenders alike. Not to mention the upstairs open air bar and seating where we met Jacob. One of the other bartenders who told us his in time the day prior. As we were planning our evening the next morning we said “wait Jacob’s upstairs tomorrow. it’s a pretty evening tonight, let’s go to the top Bar.” Needless to say, away we went. Consistency. Consistency. Consistency. Everywhere you look. Every food item you see. Every conversation you have. Everything about it is what makes this place so very special and truly only 1/1 in my opinion! To the Management, Staff and Owners of this wonderful restaurant…please keep up what you’re doing. It works and it’s made the most positive of impressions on me and my Wife. “Steamers catered our wedding. Working with Cassidy made everything so wonderfully easy. The tastings were great, as was the food at our wedding. We would highly recommend having Steamers cater any/all of your events! (Ps get the white cheddar truffle Mac & cheese, you won’t be disappointed! Our guests also loved the fresh pesto pasta with shrimp)“

“My review is for the humanity the owner has shown. I was reading my latest Readers Digest when an acknowledgement was submitted about how the owner Kevin had driven 6 hours one way to deliver what was basically an elders last meal, because it was her last wish…to have a pork tenderloin meal from this establishment. If some day I travel SE from Indiana and anywhere near I will definitely stop to support. Well done my man.“

“Really friendly hostess and great waitress. Stopped in with our 3 month old baby and hostess offered to hold her so I could eat my food and waitress was super attentive and sweet. “Easter breakfast was our first time at Henry's. It was by far one of the best breakfast experiences we've had. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel like family. Christina couldn't have been more accommodating...making sure everything was to our liking, without being overbearing. And it was the little things that mattered. May sound silly to most, but having syrup on the table for your flapjacks...when ordering hot tea, they bring you a cup of hot water, a tea bag, PLUS a silver container of hot water to place your "used" tea bag in, should you desire another cup of tea. Also, creamer was right on the table. The menu even made sense...build your own omelet.....you pay for what you want! It seemed like all the Employees chipped in. I never saw anyone just standing around. We will certainly be back, and refer folks we know to Henry's. Thank you.“

“Great AYCE seafood buffet with snow crab clusters, all hot food was hot and delicious, all cold food was cold and yummy. There is a huge separate dessert bar with lots of selections. It was all very impressive, bring your appetite, and feast. Missing one star for food as sometimes a food pan was slow to be replaced, otherwise a great place to eat a special dinner.“

“We returned to the Outer Banks last week after a 20 year hiatus, remembering Tortuga's Lie as one of our favorite places to eat. We ate there on the second night of our stay and no one in the family was disappointed. I had the grilled salmon salad special and coming from a tough critic, it was DELICIOUS and did not disappoint! Everyone enjoyed their meal and the "vibe" was just the same as we remembered. We can't wait to visit again.“

“The sportsbar portion of Captain George's restaurant. Full menu available, including the seafood buffet. TV'S all around, even in the booths. Hard not to find the game or event you're looking for. It's loud, but that's because folks are eating, drinking, and having a good time. They do have a bar food menu that's pretty good, and always drink specials. Off season it's usually full of locals there to hang out and catch the game.“

“We ate here on Friday Oct. 20. Bartender was super friendly. Highly recommend the clam chowder, best we've ever had. I had the Grouper special and it great. My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.“

“Great burgers! Wait staff was fantastic. They were also very accommodating for a shellfish allergy and used a pan on the grill and changed gloves, as to not cross contaminate.(kitchen is open, so I watched the process) Also the waiter immediately told me I wouldn’t be able to eat the fries due to cross contamination and subbed a salad for the same price. We will return on our next visit.“

“I am a huge fan of this restaurant. While it may not have the largest and most extensive of menus for an Indian restaurant, what they do have is very, very good. Among the appetizers, the bhel puri Is one of my favorite versions of that blend of flavors. The scallops pulse Is outstanding and my favorite seafood entrée. Among the vegetarian dishes the saag is good, but the baingan bharta and shamsavera kofta are my very favorites.

The two waitresses there are very kind and very helpful. The view is delightful.
