“We had a catered boil last night for our family of 11. Brayden came to set up, prepare the food and clean up afterwards. I cannot imagine a more personable and competent guide to the nights festivities than he. We had such a good time, the food was great and we made fast friends with Brayden!!!“

“We picked the spot for our big "family dinner" during our OBX vacation. We arrived right at the start of dinner with a party of nine. They seated us quickly and each option was better than the last. My son-in-law proclaimed the hush puppies the best he'd ever had, but the Mahi Bites and Duck Wontons were fabulous as well and the Pineapple Chutney on the Coconut Shrimp was fantastic. That was just the appetizers! Every entree was great; the Crab Cakes came highly recommended and did not disappoint. They were paired with the Filet Mignon for a great Surf and Turf. Others had the NC Shrimp & Grits and Crab Alfredo. No one was disappointed! Just a heads up that there are no reservations. We were fortunate to be seated in arriving at the start of the 5:00 p.m. Dinner Menu. The line formed soon thereafter.“

“Tried the Black Pelican for lunch during our November vacation. Nice atmosphere, good service and we loved story behind the name. Food was pretty good. Enjoyed the Hatteras style clam chowder. We didn't try them but the desserts looked wonderful. Also had a gift shop with BP and OBX things. I even found a hot air balloon puzzle box which was amazing!.“
