“Chapala Mexican Restaurant was a great find! The beef chimichangas were delicious with a generous portion. We were seated right away, and the food came out fast. The warm chips and tasty salsa were a perfect start. Great service, yummy food—I’ll definitely be back!“

“Every single interaction we had at Limones was sincere, intentional, and well executed. We were greeted and given a place to wait in the lobby with an herbal seltzer. Our server Jamie was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and gave eloquent, robust descriptions of the food as well as his recommendations we requested. We shared the lardo pizza - you should too. This is cellophane thin pork fat rendered just so to melt into incredible cheese and oven fired crust. I would go back for more this second. Every part of our meal exuded that impeccable attention to detail. A ravioli type pasta with ham cornbread and peas was the perfect Appalachian/Italian pairing. The tiramisu was thick, custardy, eggy in the lightest but creamiest way. The pistachio gelato with pistachio syrup was incredible. My only wish would’ve been to try one more dessert but we did make a 9:30 reservation so you roll the dice. That panna cotta sounded wonderful. I could not imagine anyone being less than thoroughly impressed with Limones. My husband was a chef for 20+ years and felt every aspect of a great meal was part of our meal there. 10/10 Limones.“

“Absolutely phenomenal! Tortilleria Molina has quickly become one of my favorite local spots. I’ve tried both the chicken and steak tacos, as well as the steak and pork burritos — and every single bite has been nothing short of amazing. The flavors are rich and authentic, the meat is always perfectly cooked, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. You can tell they put real heart into their food. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for dinner, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!“

“The food and service were fantastic! However, the reason I will return every time I visit Asheville is not actually food related. The owners fed their employees and their families the entire time they were shut down for Covid. The owner’s husband is involved in many global humanitarian projects. While I was reading the Cantina’s historical wall display, the researcher responsible for the wall came and spent about 20 minutes chatting with me about the area’s history. I was moved by life work of the people associated with the restaurant and will return in support of goodness in the world.“

“Best tacos in Asheville. Homemade tortillas that don’t tear when they are soggy. They are good size tacos too, none of those tiny 2 bite ones. The Gordita is the size of a take out box and very good. Pastor and steaks tacos were amazing. Highly recommend!!“

“An offshoot of Mamacita’s, Taco Temple retains the same focus on homemade Mexican eats. The offerings are a bit fancier than you might find at a typical taco joint but not to the point of pretentiousness (they also have breakfast tacos for those who are up early enough). While it occupies a smallish space, Taco Temple does offer a cool vibe, including a vintage Corona machine.
My wife and I opted for a trio of tacos plus guac to go. Our order was ready on-time, and one look at the homemade blue corn tortillas made us anxious to dig in. The tacos were generally tasty and delivered distinct flavors: the loreto (tangerine-pasilla shrimp) was spicy and tangy while the Santa Barbara (ancho-brown sugar rubbed steak) was smoky and slightly sweet. The panela (panela cheese, poblano, black bean, pickled onion) included too much pickled onion and too little cheese, however. The chips, guac, and tomatillo salsa were solid complements to the meal.
Taco Temple may or may not make you a convert, but it’s worth at least one pilgrimage.“

“This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant that i’ve been to. If you’re the average American looking to get Mexican food with “chips and dip” prior to ordering, look elsewhere. No chips or salsa was provided. They do not have sweet tea, it is only bottled or can drinks. The tacos were good. The atmosphere was mediocre. I would consider this to be a manly place rather than a family restaurant. While I wasn’t displeased with the food, I most likely will not return, at least not with my family.
Parking: Very small parking lot that is hard to access during high volume traffic.“

“The house Avocado salad was AMAZING! This very satisfying dish contained a large amount of fresh salad greens, carrots, red onion slices, tomatoes, an entire sliced avocado, and croutons. I received 2 different types of dressing - both delicious, a large serving of tortilla chips and salsa. It was really enough food for two! Service was also wonderful, and while I chose to eat outside in the sunshine, the atmosphere inside was very festive! I will definitely return to try some other offerings. !Muchas gracias!“

“I am so happy I found this place. Absolute best burrito I have had in Asheville, or anywhere, really. So far I have tried the pastor and carnitas. My kids love the chicken. I can’t wait to try the tamales and every meat on the list. Their agua frescas are fantastic as well. So far I have only tried the most delicious horchata, I plan to try the whole list! Try this place out. Support local. Support burritos fantastico!!!“

“One of the few places left that uses quality meats and vegetables ! Also where you will leave with all your body parts and not feel like you've been robbed by their prices. Great family environment with excellent service. Where all us locals go....“

“One of the better family-owned Mexican restaurants in the region.
My old joke that a good Mexican restaurant has a big TV and a soccer game running stands true here as well.
But what makes this place great is the food. It is more California Mex, which this former Californian misses.
Basic as it is, I almost always get the chicken burrito. Interesting blend of flavors, and just the right amount of sour cream to carry the entire meal.“

“I’ve been coming to their truck in West Asheville every weekend for at least 5 years. It’s hands down the best Mexican food in town and beats any sit down restaurant. Even simple tacos and quesadillas are amazing. They are an exceptionally kind family and provide great services, always remembering the names of locals. I look forward to my quesadilla and tacos every weekend.“

“First time eating here - had the Fish Tacos. They were fantastic!!! Loaded. Lots of flavors. They were honestly Much better than I was anticipating they'd be. I will say that they weren't Filled w/ fish - I'm a simple one and like lots of fish w/ just the right amount of complimentary flavor- but they Did have enough fish that you could taste it all together and they were just right for what they were. I assume they rest of their food is prepared w/ the same care and skill.“

“We ordered take-out. Carnitas and Molcajete from their House Specialties. The staff was friendly and nice, they refilled one salsa bin because I asked for that one specifically! The food was wonderful. Lots of meat in the dishes. We ate only half for our dinner and will enjoy it again tomorrow! I'm not sure what happened with those that had bad experiences. We've eaten there twice and it was amazing both times. Prices are reasonable, the place is clean and the setting is cozy. I highly recommend this little eatery!“

“If you are looking for awesome authentic tacos... LOOK NO FURTHER. This little joint is a perfect pit stop to top off your hunger and enjoy tacos. A micro FAMILY owned taco shop. Support these awesome people by enjoying their amazing food. Wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a traditional Mexican restaurant experience - this is more like a taco stand with a place to sit. A++++++

“Absolutely loved my experience at Taco Boy! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm that set the tone for a fantastic evening. The general manager, Mary, truly went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional dining experience.
She was knowledgeable about the menu and guided us through the best tequila tasting I've ever had. The selection was impressive, featuring a variety of high-quality tequilas that perfectly complemented the delicious food we ordered. Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the creativity and skill of the kitchen.
The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a night out. If you're looking for amazing food, an incredible tequila selection, and top-notch customer service, Taco Boy is the place to be. I'll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend! 🌮🥳🥃“

“This place has THE BEST spicy chicken quesadillas anywhere, truly. I am a big eater of chicken, and of quesadillas, and in my years of coming here I've never had a bad one, and almost always get an incredible one. Their prices are fairly high, and I don't know their whole menu, but I could have one every day here and never tire of it. If you enjoy a good spicy chicken quesadilla, you've found a new favorite spot.“

“One of the guys showing folk to their tables was very rude, yeah, you know who you are! Everyone else was great and food was good. If you show up before your party don't ask to get a table and for sure when the rude table guy says you have to wait don't ask him to explain. I've eaten there many times but I think I'll go somewhere else from now on. Maybe the guy just had a bad day, who knows. I know losing my limited business won't hurt them but I'd rather be somewhere appreciated.“
