We were seated quickly and were introduced to our server. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was fantastic. We opted for the Korean bacon to start and we both had the butchers feast. Outstanding. The steak was beautiful and the dishes that came with it were amazing too. The short rib and egg soufflé were my favourite. “My husband wanted a good steak and I chose this restaurant based on its location and reviews. Well, our experience surpassed everything I had read! First of all the ambiance is wonderful. The restaurant was a theater back in the very old days. On the wall is a huge, fabulous picture of Edith Piaf singing there. It is relatively small yet intimate. The staff, to a person, was impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a Monday night so there weren't a lot of people there. Therefore we almost felt like we were at a private dinner. We were there some 2 1/2 hours and no one pressured us to leave. It was first-rate!“

Holy Schlitz! This is the best pastrami I've ever tasted including Katz's, Carnegie Deli (70s-90s), & Harold's of Raritan (80s-2010s)! If you've not gone, GO!!! I won't steer you wrong. It's tender, juicy, fresh, and has so much flavor! It's the Kobe of Pastrami! Sorry, didn't try the corn beef or knish but maybe next time. I got the $15.95 sandwich plus one Lb of pastrami $26.95. Tax is 6.625%. I paid cash but they do take cc. Just GO!“

The place was clean and the staff attentive (it was a Wednesday night).The bill, surprisingly, did not include gratuity or tip. You pay either by card (small charge additional) or cash. The "downsides" are: no parking lot for diners as you park on the sides of the Avenue. There is also no alcohol (wine, beer or cocktails) served. I will bring my family here and recommend to friends.“
