“We have lived a block away for the past five years and always were curious with how busy it was. We went for a large family dinner and we realized why it's always busy. The vibe is amazing. Lots of big parties celebrating birthdays. Great spot to bring the youngest and oldest. The food is great, service is fantastic. And just a really nice spot“

“This restaurant is located on East Passyunk in South Philly. I love the ambiance and service was great. Meat and veggie platter was delicious. The platter also came with pizza dough which was surprisingly really good. I am also currently obsessed with their gnocchi, it has the perfect texture and the sauce was amazing. Will definitely come back!“

“Terrific dinner! We had the burrata appetizer and the beet salad to start, cacio e pepe ravioli, rigatoni parmagiana, seafood gnocchi, and chicken Milanese. All were delicious and well-executed. Ricotta cake, orange sorbet and a cannoli for dessert, also delicious. Service was attentive and great.“

“10/10, we got there 15 minutes late due to heavy rain, no problem at all! My babe booked the 5 course meal in a private wine cellar (it’s only 1 down the basement) very romantic w/rose petals and candle lights, I’m vegan and the chef really threw it down in the kitchen just for me :-) very happy about that, you have to pay in advance and beverages aren’t included, will definitely go back.“

“I have consistently experienced exceptional service and delectable cuisine at Bertucci's. They are highly responsive to any concerns regarding the food and make every effort to ensure customer satisfaction. Bertucci's holds a special place in my heart as a preferred destination for quality time with my mother during our lunch breaks and after extensive shopping excursions. Their generous portions offer great value for money, making it an overall delightful dining experience.“

“Headed to South Philly on a Friday evening to try out Saloon and had a fantastic experience. The dinner in every area was above and beyond, from the atmosphere, to service, to options, and food. Everything we tried was delicious, and the service was excellent throughout. Prices are high, but we left with enough food for 2 more meals in leftovers so I felt less concerned about the cost. Highly, highly recommend.“

“Susage pizza with burrata was close to if not the best pizza I ever had. Salads were delicious. The cotoletta could needed a bit more lemon for my taste and the cacio pepe needed pumping up a bit too. But both were still very good. Our friend loved the pork tenderloin. Decor is neither inviting nor offensive. Will definitiely go back for the FOOD and great service!“
“Napoletano Brothers delivers outstanding service with a genuine touch of kindness towards customers. From the moment you step in, their warm hospitality creates a welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is exceptional, the pizza is delightful, sandwiches are scrumptious, and the pasta is a true delight. A culinary experience worth savoring, made even more enjoyable by the friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience!“

“Friends dinner out on a rainy Saturday. Our Mr first time to Noir since the Pandemic. It's even better than we remembered. Same comfortable, relaxed, neighborhoods atmosphere. Same warm and welcoming service. And the food is inspired. Particularly good: broccoli rabe with sausage and beans starter, arancini, gnocchi in mushroom gravy, short rib, and (amazing) spaghetti with crab sauce. Desserts were fresh and especially tasty. Great evening!“

“The chicken was so tender and delicious that I really wanted 3 more helpings but went for the amazing butterscotch pudding dessert! The Brussel sprouts were crispy and deliciously tossed in balsamic vinegar reduction. The pasta was served perfectly al dente which ever sauce you chose. The pomodoro sauce was just superb! It was just a little tight but otherwise the atmosphere was great as was the staff!!Parking: Best to park in the lot just off of 3rd and Bainbridge as trying to find a spot on the street is near impossible. The lot was convenient and close by, less than a block away. $15 for as long as you want on Saturday or Sunday or weeknight after 5pm. Worth it for the impeccable cuisine!!“

“True old world Italian cooking artistry. Opened in 1899 Dante and Luigi's is one of the oldest restaurants in Philadelphia PA. It is certainly the oldest Italian eatery in Philly. Cozy with well dressed wait staff and old world decor. The food tells the story here. I have eating there since college. I took my dates there when I was 18. I go for the food. Delicious is the keyword. Savory tomato sauces, tender meats and exquisite desserts if you have the room after eating your meal. On my recent visit I had pasta fagoli and a side of roasted peppers and provolone to start and their homemade lasagna for the main course. Everything was scrumptious. Even though I was bordering on I can't eat another bite I had the tiramisu for dessert. I couldn't resist. Dante and Luigi is easily my favorite Italian restaurant and a cut about the rest.“

“A very fun and unique experience. This members only club has a speakeasy style for access. Everything we had there was top notch. Highlights for me: the lamb chop, the gnocchi, crab pasta and the espresso martini which had 24 hr churned brown butter somehow infused into it. If you know someone with a membership, you should really try to go.“

“What a great gem in South Philly. Go for the Sandwiches and grab the ingredients to make an Italian meal for later. Grabbed their version of an Italian sub, and it's so fresh and tasty. The roasted red peppers made it even better for me.Separately, the sharp provolone cheese is the definition of specialty. You can feel the crystals as you bite down which is a great tell of well made cheese.“

“We had a party of almost 20 and for such a small space, the staff was SO accommodating. They moved tables and chairs for us and took the chaos like absolute champs. It was my older sisters birthday, and I am one of thirteen siblings with most of my siblings coming out to celebrate this, along with their significant others. The staff was glorious and didn’t get angry with us (outwardly) even once. You have no idea how much we appreciated their patience with such a large group.Additionally, the food was made swiftly and it was all DELICIOUS. We got the veal, the gnocchi, the carpaccio Angelina, the salad, and much more and everyone raves about their meals. We loved it here and I hope to come back in a more relaxed setting on my own to try more!Vegetarian options: They had salad and other veggies :)“

“It didn’t taste the same as how they used to taste to me. It’s been a few years since I’d been there. It was missing something. I remember the hoagies being so so good. I don’t know. “We had a ladies day out and went to this amazing Albanian restaurant serving authentic dishes named Two Eagles Cafe at 1401 South 20th Street. Parked directly in front of restaurant. Not only is the food delicious but the seating and service is impeccable. It is a cozy family owned restaurant and the owners are a lovely couple named Nadire and Rudi who was present, welcoming, hard working with good conversation. You will never have to look for anyone, always available. Shout out to the talented Spresa as well. In a group of four we were able to share the 3 Specialty Lunch Platters. The plates were picture perfect with a savory taste. I didn't see this on the menu, but it was nice large size slices called "Byrek me spinaq" Spinach pie similar to quiche. Excellent crust, texture and taste. We ended our lunch date with delicious Macchiato, Cappuccino and Latte (awesome cup sizes) and of course the best dessert for when your stuffed and I surely was. The dessert named "Pandispanje" reminded me of moist cornbread with not too sweet sauce drizzled over it. It was perfect, light and tasty with really cute miniature spoons. I will include pics, it's a must see. Sorry, I may have forgotten to take pics before digging in to the plate. Nevertheless, the price is very reasonable and great portion sizes. Looking forward to returning and would like to try everything on the menu. This place and the family are pure gems. Please don't miss out. Thanks for the wonderful food, customer service and conversation Nadire and Rudi!!! Until we meet again, keep up the great work and May God Continue to Bless You!!!“

“I ordered a plain cheese pizza for take out on a Sunday afternoon. I had to wait 25 minutes but it was worth it. Like most places in the city, parking options are very limited. When I walked in to their shop I saw several happy customers eating away, enjoying their food. The place seats about 20 people. Nice low key , no frills, South Philly Italian pizza parlor vibe with very good food. It beats standing in line at Angelo’s.“

“Our dinner at this lil Italian spot La Nonna was great. The space is cute and well decorated, it’s great for a nice date. Our service was friendly and the food came out fast. The food was great and a nice portion.I got lasagna, its meat sauce was really good. The lasagna was layered well. My date got gnocchis and said the texture of the noodles were perfect. 4/5 for the food.Depending on what time you come the place can fill up so make sure you have a reservation. If you do just walk-in it needs to be right when the restaurant opens. We had tried to walk in in the past and couldn’t get a table. This place is BYOB and they only take cash or Venmo.“

“It’s nice to find a place like this in Pitman where everything is overpriced. This place can pump out great tasting sandwiches at low prices. I ordered the salami and ham sandwich and it was delicious. My fiancé had the gluten free roll and it held together quite well! Generous portions. I’m stuffed with half a sandwich. Good quality ingredients. I highly recommend this place. Come here if you like sandwiches and want the best bang for your buck.“

“Stella has made me happy with its excellent employees, taste and visuality. We ate pizza, pasta and dessert. The place is beautiful from the decorative acid. There is a pizza oven that you can watch in your case. The employees are cute. The only point I stuck on was that the girl standing at the head of the oven did not put a cap on her hair. Especially, it can be ensured that an employer in the eyes of Boyle pays a little more attention and does not have the mind of the customer. The customer quality is very good. Also, the waiters and the employees who stand for the door to meet are also very respectful.“

“NEVER had anything bad from Nitty's. Pizza is phenomenal, Pizzaz fiercely rivals, no I lied, outright beats & corners the market against the usual Pizzaz contenders of South Philly. Owner/operator Frank is a stand-up neighborhood guy who always greets you with a smile and is happy to see you as if no time has passed by since you've last seen each other. I've yet to dine in, so can't comment on the staff other than they're mostly female & very easy on the eyes, lol.Parking: It's street parking at 18th n Moyamensing so there are so many factors regarding parking. But if you're a South Philly native you already know what it's hittin for. But all in all parking shouldn't be an issue. At most you may have to walk a block or 2.Wheelchair accessibility: None that I saw“

“This is a very nice restaurant. The table was on the small side, but it was sufficient. We were served quickly, and all our orders were correct. Our waitress properly followed up once we started eating right on time. Prices are very reasonable, and our food was top-notch. The Veal Parmigiano was the best I had in a long time. It tasted fresh, and the gnocchi (I always up my macaroni side to gnocchi) was out of this world. ? I think it was the best I ever had. There was plenty of parking. We had reservations, but we're not sure we needed them. The bathrooms were clean.“

It’s obvious the chef is passionate about his menu and the quality of what’s coming out of the kitchen. “I just ordered a crispy tomato hoagie, along with a veggie hoagie and an Italian hoagie. Still, my favorite place to order from. Antonio, the owner, still takes orders over the phone and the delivery is prompt. Thanks, Antonio for your delicious food and service. 12/28/20The hoagies are delicious! The sandwiches are made to order and are consistently good. They are made fresh and this is one of the best places to order a hoagie tray. My personal opinion, the best veggie and Italian hoagies. Their pasta salads are good and their hot roast pork is a must try. What is also nice is that you can call over the phone and have your sandwiches delivered.10/23…I didn’t get to take a new photo but the hoagies are just as good as ever. Jackie took my order over the phone and she was so patient and kind. Picked up my hoagies and I really haven’t been here in a long time. Love a place that is clean, the staff are nice and the food is delicious! Of course, I have to make it known, the hoagies are made to order and on Sarcone hoagie rolls…can’t get much better than that. Antonio also mentioned he opened a second location in West Philadelphia, wishing him much success there. Once the people try his hoagies, they will know how awesome they are!“

“One of the best Italian shops I have ever been to! Beyond their grocery selection, which is pretty robust and centers around anything you could want from the Cento brand, they have a stellar deli. You walk in, and are greeted by their display case of prepped foods (stuffed peppers, fried chicken, etc.) and you continue on to see the amazing sandwiches being fixed up behind the counter. I got a meatball hoagie with sharp provolone and long hots...couldn't believe how good it was. I am so pumped to go back and try some of their other sandwiches. There aren't any thrills to the ambience - and it is a very tight space. We did a lot of "dancing" with other customers making sure we stayed out of the way, but none of that matters. Embrace it, soak up the atmosphere, and take a deep breath of the freshly baked bread and sauce being prepared in the back. Only way it could be better? Add a couple of tables so I don't have to wait to take my food to eat it.“

“There are a lot of good hoagie places in the Deleware Valley. Carmen's in Bellmar and Pal Joeys in the Pitman / Sewell area come to mind. But because of it's bread, Primos is the best. It is a front runner in every respect, bread, meat and service. Unfortunately, this doesn't extend to cheesesteaks. Substandard for the area. The good bread doesn't save them.“
