“Its really good, you have to ask for hot otherwise you'll get frozen and it's not the sameI like to add, their time is very weird I only go there on Saturday cause I work the whole week sometime I go at 8am and I find them just opening and have to wait about an hour to get it hot and other times I go at 10am and they tell me it's too late I don't understand their time but always happy when I get this amazing meal hot.“

“Freshly made warm pita and flatbread from the oven! Nice dough and crust. Dishes were generous but under seasoned. Generous shwarma pieces on flatbread were overcooked. Rice with almond slivers from ouzi lamb was very fragrant and tasty. Comfortable seating. Light and airy. Attentive service. “

“It was difficult to snag a spot for dinner because they are always booked. I don’t know if walk-ins are welcomed, but I used the OpenTable notification to get my table for the evening.I liked the food A LOT. Of course, it’s nice to have an unlimited supply of entrees and pitas. The portion of the main course is not very big, but you will probably be full from eating all that hummus and baba ganoush stuff.“

“Outstanding in every respect, especially with Ross helping make our experience exceptional. Sit inside the main restaurant if possible for the best vibe, and sitting at the counter is great. Food selection is great and we appreciate the small dishes for sharing - though one Ferna each please. Drinks are also good…maybe too good…the Tyre is a favorite. Enjoy!“

“I grabbed dinner here and it did not disappoint. This was a cute and cozy spot just a few steps from the L train. For cocktails, I started with the Spicy Mezcal Marg. It wasn't my favorite, as I expected it to be spicier, since Szechuan peppercorn and Calabrian chili were some of the ingredients used. My next drink was the Hugo Spritz, which was amazing!! It made up for the first drink: it was refreshing and sweet (but not too sweet). For apps, we had the Rye Pita and hummus. Now let me just say, I am not a hummus girlie, but the hummus here was so flavorful and smooth. It wasn't gritty as I have experienced in the past. It definitely paired well with the pita. The star of the show was the Lahmajun, which is sort of like a pizza (without cheese) with lamb. I was pleasantly surprised. The lamb, the herbs & spices were just so delicious. Our server told us to dip it in the hummus and I had no regrets. We also had the braised chicken thigh, which felt very much like comfort food. The chicken was seasoned generously and cooked to perfection. We also had the lamb meatballs, which were so tender. The pairing with pomegranate really brought the flavors out. Overall, I definitely unlocked some new tastebuds here lol. I would return again for the Lahmajun alone! Service was exceptional as well :)“

“Very authentic, homemade style Yemeni dishes with fresh ingredients and a variety of choices. The flavours are very close to the original Yemeni food. What I loved the most is the out of the clay oven bread with the hot dipping sauce, EXCEPTIONAL! There is a little room for improvement with the service, they were generous and professional but understaffed for a busy restaurant. I recommend lamb hanith and chicken kabse dishesKid-friendliness: There are several meals suitable for the children“

“This is, perhaps, one of the best restaurants I have been to. A significant reason for this is due to Zorbey. He was convivial, kind, respectful, and a wonderful conversationalist. His recommendations of what to eat and even how to eat it were such a delight. This restaurant is wonderful because of their amazing food, beautiful ambiance, and caring staff. 5 stars all around!“

“All great things to say about Zizi! Stumbled on it searching for a reservation with friends early on a Friday evening. All involved are big fans of Mediterranean food, and we needed to be in this area to head over to a show afterward. So it ticked all the boxes. What I figured would be a good dinner and convenient turned into an extraordinary meal. We ordered everything to share and we ordered a lot so I feel like I tried the whole menu. Everything - literally every dish - was truly excellent. Cocktails were also terrific. Particularly the espresso martini and the margarita got raves. Our waiter was lovely -- patient and friendly and added to the great vibe of the whole experience. Wish I asked his name - he gets high marks.“

“All in all I had a really enjoyable time here. We ordered a few different dishes all which were beautifully presented and had good flavor although I felt some could have used a bit more acidity. I loved the market salad, the hummus, the cauliflower and the salmon. The branzino and prawns weren’t as fresh and the branzino was a little overcooked. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us which I really appreciated.“

“Drawing its roots in the noble tradition of Yemeni coffee, this coffee house first serves fabulous beverages: especially taste the Sanaani, cardamom coffee ($10 for a pot of sharing coffee), or a classic "pour-over" ( $8 for the large model) to appreciate a beautiful expression coming from high-class Arabica coffee beans, processed with respect for the product. The typical pastries, Khaliat Alnahl and Sabaya, or even the coconut Basboassa are really all very tasty. Delicious !“

“Cute mediterranean restaurant that could be a good date spot or even a good group meal vibe. I'm not sure how crowded it gets on weekends but walked in on a weekday and there were open tables available. I unfortunately opted for a predictable order of greek salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious and filling and I scarfed down the whole thing. Plenty of olives which is my kryptonite. If you order for takeout note that there is a separate window/entrance where you can pick up.“

“Easily one of my favorite spots for Middle Eastern eats in the city -- every single thing we had here was so delicious. The ambiance was really lovely and the servers are great at recommending dishes. This restaurant is perfect to share dishes family-style. The Labneh here is so special, truly one of my favorite I've eaten. I cannot recommend it enough, am definitely coming back soon.“

“As expected, Solomonov delivers with K'Far Bakery in Williamsburg. Having been to the original Philadelphia outpost of K'Far, this one manages to succeed and even improve past the original. Huge, well lit, expansive space seamlessly merges Huxton lobby with K'Far Bakery space, with the restaurant group's branding prominent, punchy, and on point just as you would expect! The best way to brunch here seems to be with a group, and sharing to be able to try everything! The pistachio sticky bun was a pistachio lovers dream. The lemon cheesecake babka was a match made in heaven, soft warm, fluffy, and filled with unctuous lemony deliciousness. The almond challah Danish, another winner. The borekas with their delicious fillings, the hummus bowls, the arayes...all score top marks. The yemeni latte was delicious. Solomonov brought Israeli cuisine to the US and consistently shows a masterful hand in guiding its understanding by the American public with these delicious and approachable flavorful dishes! Can't miss this brunch spot, nor Laser Wolf!“

“Located north of Radio city hall, there seems to be a new competitor coming up for Adel's famous halal. This place is run by Afghans and they are really warm and welcoming people to their food truck also the service is quick while the food is served hot and fresh. After reading some reviews here, I opted for a chicken chapli kebab platter. Chapli kebab is basically a ethnic Pashtun dish from the border region of Afghanistan-Pakistan. The minced chicken was good while adding the right amount of spices to give a succulent taste, for the first time, I had cumin rice and it tasted good and was a welcome change from the regular saffron rice available elsewhere. These people provided fries alongside salad and topped it with white sauce which had the right amount of thickness while their mint sauce was a welcome addition to this. I don't usually go for the spicy sauce as I'm not a big fan of it.Overall it's a great experience to try something for the first time apart from halal guys and adel's. The big advantage of the food is that it lacks food coloring like adel's and whatever prepared is done in the right way while also the wait time is very less compared to adel's and halal guys.“

“A-mazing!! Tiny little hole in the wall Mediterran lunch spot. Only six tables and the chef was on his own that day. No servers or cleanup staff that I could see. He did it all! But Best was the Food!! Tasty and Huge, we had falafel, wraps in handmade thin bread. I ordered the Vegan sandwich, which included roasted eggplant, and cauliflower, hummus, lettuce tomatoes, and french fries! It was warm with a juice or gravy of some sort. It was delicious, if messy.! I look forward to my next visit.“

“We were looking for Israeli food for my dad's birthday dinner. We got a table for 8 and were sat in the back room. It was pretty tight in there. While our waiter was nice, the restaurant was super full and I don't think it could handle all the groups of people well. We each ordered drinks and the drinks didn't come out when we got our appetizers. Waited even longer for them. For appetizers, we shared a bunch of dishes. The hummus really is delicious and the warm pita bread is great. We asked for more pita but unfortunately the pita was brought out when we got our main dishes and we no longer needed it. The restaurant forgot my chicken schnitzel dish so I just shared the burger with my husband. They also ran out of fries for the night and it was only 730pm.. the restaurant has lots of potential but needs to figure out a better system for food and service. They were super apologetic and did comp the pita bread and dessert for my dads birthday. The babka dessert is absolutely a delicious chocolate heaven!“

“Zaffron Bloom in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, is a delightful addition to the culinary scene, offering a fusion of Modern Persian Cuisine with Middle-terranean influence. Helmed by Chef Shahin, whose years of catering experience have culminated in the realization of her dream restaurant, Zaffron Bloom promises a unique dining experience. The restaurant's namesake spice, saffron, is aptly celebrated for its rich history, cultural significance, and exquisite flavor profile.During our lunch visit, we were treated to a delicious meal that surpassed our expectations. The service was impeccable, exceeding the standard. Our decision to dine at Zaffron Bloom was influenced by a friend's glowing recommendation, and we're thrilled to have discovered this gem. Zaffron Bloom truly embodies the essence of "the spice of life" with its innovative approach to traditional Persian cuisine. Deliciousness!! To all Yelpers.... Guys we have to support small local business. It's more important than you can imagine especially during these times. Give them a try, we're sure you'll enjoy it. Be on the lookout... a little insider info, they'll soon be opening a market adjacent to Zaffron. Good luck with all and future ventures. @vinopotato.“

“I know this place just opened, but I extremely highly recommend. A few of my friends came to eat here and so I decided to give it a try. Walking in, I was surprised how there was literally no one there but a ton of workers which I guess was great for me as they were super attentive. I was a bit surprised by the prices were pretty high for something that was supposed to be take-out, but the minute they start making the shawarma, I knew why it was more expensive. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma platter and it was delicious! Perhaps one of the best shawarmas I've had in the city. First of all, they gave us a platter just for all the toppings, did I mention that they are unlimited, that they had. Sometimes the toppings don't have that much flavor, but each one was very complex and flavorful. The chopped salad was light and fresh which balanced out the finely chopped pickles which added a sour taste. The red cabbage slaw which was slightly savory and slightly sour balanced out the onions that had a slight charred on it. I was so delighted by all the different toppings, which is where I think the place definitely shines. The chicken itself was okay, tender but not crazier than normal. Overall, I had an amazing experience and especially with the portion sizes, the platter could easily feed a family of 4 with additional leftovers. I think it will take me at least 6-7 meals before eating it all but I did add some of my own rice to counteract the bounty of flavors. I will say that they don't automatically give you the rice or the fries so big reminder to ask them for that when you come.“

“I had dinner at Lashevet restaurant last week. The food was outstanding! I had octopus for an appetizer and salmon for a main course. It was delicious ! The humus was blended with beats and was absolutely delicious! I have never tried anything like that before! I had Basbousa St Germain cake for desert. It was to die for! And then they gave me tea with ginger, lime, mint and honey. I had an incredible evening and delicious dinner! The ambiance in the restaurant was very relaxing after a hard day at work. I will definitely be back and this time for both dinner and breakfast that I hear has incredible deserts.“

“It was a fantastic experience overall, and I was thoroughly pleased. I made dinner reservations a few days ahead for an outing with friends. “Tiny inside but a nice (& still warm) enclosed outdoor space. We waited a few minutes to get a table away from the door.I liked the variety of the mezza plate offerings including some not normally seen on USA menus. Some were good but could use more spice (Nivik, Avocado) and others not so much (roasted cauliflower was a disappointment and served cold). The Citrus Chicken soup was delicious although there were no chickpeas or cilantro or caramelized onions that I noticed. For some reason it took 3 reminders to get it (did they run out and start from scratch?).Falafel plate was good, not great. Lamb in the kebab was bland. Don’t bother ordering.Expensive for what you get.“

“I was delightfully surprised at how. much I enjoyed this restaurant. Went with a friend who, like me, loves Meditteranean cooking. Having traveled to different countries in Mediterranean, I learned it's more about the "farm to table" concept in preparation. You can appreciate the natural flavors of the ingredients when they come together. Well, Lo and Behold, the food at Bustan was delicious. Simply delicious. We had hummus and the portion was small and we wanted more. But instead of ordering a second, we went with Israeli Salad and then the branzino in a dish called Moroccan Fish. Yum yum. Their bread, the taboon bread, was delicious. We each couldn't get enough of the sauce in the Moroccan fish dish. Service was fantastic. Our waiter, Leonardo, knew the menu and was helpful. We weren't planning on getting desserts but then with his prodding, we got the Malabi and the halvah with ice cream. Both were so satisfying. I would definitely go back. Ambiance was lovely... very easy on the eyes. Oh I need to mention my cocktail, the spicy smoky margarita with an adjustment to go easy on the sugar was made to perfection. You won't be disappointed.“

“Wow this was the best middle Eastern food I've had at a restaurant. I wish I had a chance to meet the owner because I have so much respect for the multitude of levels her dishes had. I had one dish that could be tasted in 5 different ways with the variety of sauce combinations available on the plate alone. The prices to me were well below what they deserved to be. Whenever I go back to New York I will definitely be back here. It also hit close to home for me because my Sita used to make kibeh and it was a joy trying an elevated version of what she used to make from the pistachio baklava to the kibeh itself. So happy this place exists.“

“Alright! Where do i begin?! There were 4 people behind the counter and when i walked in, all four greeted me. The manager greeted at the ordering station and didnt overwhelm me to order my food as this was the first time being there. He asked me if id like any suggestions and we landed on the chicken platter with spicy chickpeas rice and cole slaw. Everything about this bowl was immaculate. The chicken was well seasoned and spiced, the chick peas were tender and savory, and the rice was such a great compliment to the protein. I also ordered their fries because why not!The portion size was generous but not overbearing. They had the mexican coke glass bottles which was a great choice to wash the food down with. I got the brown to top it all off and it was amazing. Chipotle, Qdoba, Halal Guys even have nothing on Juicy Platters. I definitely will be coming back with the family!“

“Best hummus I've ever tasted! In this NYC foodie mecca, I am grateful for finding Hummus Kitchen. It was our last night in Manhattan and we were looking for somewhere near our hotel for dinner. We narrowed it down to mediterranean and Hummus Kitchen was just a few blocks away. So off we went. We almost didn't see it because it's the definition of a hole in the wall. There is not much seating inside, but it was late and we got a table quickly. Our server arrived almost instantly and presented us with electronic tablets for menus. We got some hummus appetizer with pita bread. We all agreed that the hummus was unlike any hummus we've ever tasted. It was buttery smooth and tasted delicious! Yom Yom Yom! We also tried the Grilled chicken, Shawarma platter, Seniya Pita taco and the Arais. Everything we had was delicious. The chicken was juicy. The marinated beef was grilled perfectly. The sauces were spot on. Even the pita bread was toasted just right. It's true everything tastes better when you're hungry, so we must've been really hungry! Our server was very attentive and we didn't have any room for dessert. If I lived nearer, I would probably eat here every other week. Bon apetite.“

“East Village stroll on a warm Sunday in March. Hadn't had schwarma in a long time and saw someone post about it on IG. Had the schwarma west pita with chicken, amba, tahina, harissa. So flavorful, fresh ingredients and packed ... pita didn't fall apart. Love that they mix all of the ingredients together so you don't get layered bites. I took half home and unless there is extra chicken hiding on the bottom, I felt like it could have used more. $15 ($16.34 with tax). Super friendly service. Would recommend and look forward to trying the falafel next time.“
