“We were in the city for 3 nights. I made reservations for the second and third nights. Left night one open. I found Saar online, it was less than a block from our hotel so we figured we'd give them a try. So glad we did. Nice place. Great, friendly service (Karim is the man!), and excellent food. I ended up cancelling the reservations I made for night 3 and we went back to Saar. Give them a try if you like Indian food. It was amazing!“

“A great Indian spot! My mom and I came last minute as we love indian food and we had a phenomenal meal! We shared the samosas, goa shrimp curry, lamb rogan josh, baingan bharta (eggplant), rice, and garlic naan! And they were so friendly and even brought us dessert on the house. Excited to come back!“

“Warm, modern, and intimate restaurant that has a creative take on Indian cuisine. Upon entry, we were greeted welcomingly. You’d notice the decor immediately—stunning and attention to detail from top to bottom! The menu had so much to choose from and the servers were extremely helpful with explaining the differences. But the star of the show has to be the presentation of the food and the flavorful sauces. Worth the city prices. Would definitely come back for another special occasion!“

“Had an amazing dinner at Junoon! The atmosphere is elegant and cozy. The staff was friendly and knew the menu well. Every dish was full of rich, authentic flavors, and the presentation was beautiful. Loved the creative desserts too. Definitely a top spot for Indian fine dining in NYC!“

“Really want to give them a perfect 5, but their service was painfully slow, consistent with what many Yelpers have mentioned on their reviews. Getting reservations was a breeze, and the layout remains the same at this place, what was formerly Priyanka Chopra's failed venture - Sona.
Katie got us seated and George was our host/waiter - who was pretty difficult to spot throughout our time here.
Now that I am done complaining about the service, lets quickly get to the food which was absolutely fantastic.
What to get? The standout dish of the evening was Jackfruit Ghee Roast ($30) - the most delicious Jackfruit dish I have every had. Creamy, spice balanced, and flavor packed. This with Malabar Parotha was a banger combination.
Market Beets ($20) stood out in small bites, thanks to the delicious walnut chikki, and the smoked mayo sauce with Kolhapuri Chicken Bao was really tasty. Roasted Bombay Corn Ribs ($12) can be skipped, and so can the Biryani Chicken Wings ($16).
Their seasonal cocktail - a Gin & Tonic with cucumber and mint was refreshing. Cocktails overall were enjoyable.
We tried all their desserts which include a pistachio icecream, gulab jamun with coriander, and icecream sandwich. Desserts overall were an absolute letdown and I wouldn't recommend any of them. If you have an absolute sugar craving, go with icecream sandwich!
If they figure out their service staffing, I see no reason why Passerine can't be a New York favorite. With a gifted chef who balances flavor so well, the core ingredient of this restaurant is up to the mark!“

“The biryani was delicious! I ordered the dum biryani, and the portion was perfect for one person. The place is quite small and a bit cramped, and there’s no wash basin available, so you’ll need to use wet wipes. Despite that, the food and service were really good overall.“

“Butter chicken, goat doori kebab is to die for. Roomali Roti - just had it after ages. No doubt NYC has an Indian restaurant which can compete with the likes of Dum Pukht in India.“

“Rudra Indian Bistro on Cedar Lane is authentic as it gets. We have been here so many times and will always keep coming back because the food is high quality, healthy, and very delicious. We always start with the House Salad which is a great way to begin your meal. The Tandoori chicken is so juicy and succulent, and the Lamb Korma is one of our favorites. I highly recommend Rudra Indian Bistro! One of the best restaurants of Teaneck...“

“Very straightforward Indian food although they have Nepalese food as well. The classic dishes we had were well prepared and delicious. An error was made with one of the dishes (we ordered lamb and received chicken) the let us eat the chicken and they provided us with the correct dish at no cost. I also appreciated the happy hour -- good quality cocktails with Indian themes for $9. That's pretty good for Manhattan. Polite and attentive service and did not rush us out.“

“I absolutely loved my experience at Bombay grill house ! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the aroma of spices instantly made me hungry. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always checking in to make sure everything was perfect.
Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor the butter chicken was rich and creamy, the naan was soft and fresh. You can really taste the love and care that goes into every plate. And it’s even better a second time for leftovers!!“

“Rudraks on the upper west side is a wonderful Indian restaurant. The food is fresh, delicious unique but familiar. The restaurant is cozy and people seem to really enjoy their time… having nice conversations. I have seen groups of families, couples and also individuals going to have a reasonably priced lunchtime meal Today. We had delicious lunchtime meal for $15 which included an entrée bread, rice, lentils, and dessert. You really can’t be that price and the food is really delicious not oily not greasy and the service is super kind and they make you feel like a very special customer. Thanks very much for such an enjoyable experience.“

“We’ve eaten at Gulab in Cliffside Park several times, and the food is always excellent. The chicken tikka is flavorful and tender, the chicken biryani is perfectly seasoned, and the naan comes out nice and warm every time.
The atmosphere isn’t anything fancy, but the consistently great food more than makes up for it. Definitely one of the best spots in the area for a reliably delicious meal.“

“First time I had Indian food was a few years ago in NC, and I was NOT impressed. We were up visiting my sister in Ridgewood and we went out for fathers day dinner at Tabla. We ordered a bunch of different appetizers and entrees and we shared them all. I was absolutely impressed. I totally enjoyed EVERY item. I especially liked the curry fish with coconut milk. The service was exceptional and very friendly, it was an entirely enjoyable experience. I heartily recommend this Indian Restaurant in Ridgewood, NJ.“

“This is the only restaurant in NJ which serves food like home taste. I had Masala dosa, poori with aloo subji and sooji ka halwa, and I can say that I lived my life today eating this yummy food, which is not easy to get outside home. Good bless the owner, the cook and people working here. Special mention to Sushma who served the food with care and Rahul ji for great conversation. Thanks a lot.“

“We wanted to find somewhere near 55th street, and Karahi Indian Cuisine looked ideal.
On arrival we sat down in a very pleasant and not too noisy restaurant with water at the ready and two colorful menus.
I asked if they could do a Madras and the chef said he could make one.
It was amazing. They read me perfectly, hot, but not too hot. And the flavour, it was delicious. Real care and original. Maybe a cliche, but certainly the most pleasant and enjoyable madras I've had. Maybe a New York flare? Maybe just authentic. But definitely an excellent meal. As for my colleague, he went for the mixed grill, and that, too was something special, lamb, shrimp, chicken, big chunks and beautifully presented. Luckily for me, my friend doesn't have as large appetite as I so I had some of his chicken and he was stuffed. I'm full too. The portions were really good. And we were asked if we wanted more rice, but even I don't think I could have had anymore. The staff were really friendly and genuinely interested in our enjoyment.
We both had Naans, I had a peshwari, and it was lovely. As we were going to a show, we didn't have time for dessert, but did stay for a little time. No pressure and just enjoyed a little rest. The food came in good time, maybe 10 minutes. They are really well set up.
Would fully recommend. Quality, tradition and passion would describe Karahi Indian Cuisine.“

“We had office Diwali lunch for the people of Indian diaspora this year at this restaurant at the vibrant Montclair town. The place is located just close to intersection of Bloomfield Avenue & NorthFullerton Avenue. Parking lot with paid parking is available in walking distance from this place . For starters Kale pakora ( fritter) was excellent. Same with chicken malai tikka , it was excellent, very soft and well done, very juicy. For main dishes dal Bukhara was good , veg kohlapuri was very sweet, it may trigger blood sugar for pre diabetic or diabetes people. I recommend It should be little less sweeter. Goat curry was with all bones less meat . The goat curry was overpriced! My vegetarian coworkers can give reviews about dahi kabab and paneer lababdar they ! The desert was very decorated! Over all good ambience , good service ( little slow ) for a big team !“

“I live 1 block away & get to enjoy Indian Tanpura's food whenever I want! Pictured are the vegetable samosas (2 per order), Saag Paneer, garlic naan & aloo paratha, and Chicken Kashmir.
Every time we order we get the samosa: absolutely excellent with the sauces & garlic. Saag Paneer is a standout too, that's part of most of our orders. We've tried almost all of the curried dishes, and others like Rogan Josh, lamb moglai and have enjoyed them all. Proceed with caution on the vindaloo, one of the spiciest I've had!
The staff is warm & welcoming, vibe inside is calm & classic. Highly recommend!“
