I’ve been a true fan of this restaurant ever since I’ve moved up to Bloomfield a few years ago and I always bring my friends and family to this restaurant. Whether it’s Brunch or dinner, the food never disappoints! Hence why I thought it was a good idea to ask for them to cater for my bday! Anthony and his team were very accommodating and brought out the rest of trays as the previous ones started emptying out which I greatly appreciated due to the lack of space we were given at the venue. We ordered the chicken empanadas, beef empanadas, broccoli rabe, mixed greens salad, Mac and cheese, chicken parm, eggplant parm, pasta vodka, meatballs and potato croquettes. All dishes were excellent and everyone was excited to pack the leftovers home as well! “Where do I begin. Our visit to the Shannon Rose was outstanding. From the nice young lady at the door to our server Edgar who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. When we arrived Trivia was going on, and it was such a delight watching everyone participating in the game. We arrived wanting drinks to end the night, and The Shannon Rose did night disappoint. Our server Edgar was very kind, and very knowledgeable about what we should order, plus very handsome. Kudos to the bartender the drinks were delish!!!! “Almost hidden on a small street in Belleville, Me & Tommy's looks like someone's house from the outside. Once inside, you are immediately treated as a guest in a friend's home. We received such a warm welcome, that my husband asked if I knew the staff. That level of service continued throughout the entire meal. I can't remember the last time I experienced such outstanding service. The dining area is quite small, and they are busy all night. I would most definitely call for a reservation in advance. The atmosphere is lively and boisterous. Not meant for a quiet romantic evening. Kinda like a loud Sunday family dinner vibe. For food: Smothered Rice Balls in Vodka Sauce, Stuffed Cubanelle Peppers, Pasta Volognese, and Artichoke Chicken. For me, the Rice Balls were my favorite dish. Generously portioned, the rice balls are a cheesy carb delight. The famous vodka sauce was creamy and plentiful. Highly recommend. The Stuffed Peppers were two very large, beautiful cubanelles (my personal fav pepper). My husband loved the stuffing, while I did think it was a touch over seasoned. The Volognese- cross btw vodka and bolognese) was enormous! It does lean more to the bolognese, but was tasty nonetheless. My Chicken Artichoke special consisted of three chicken breasts with mozzarella and artichoke hearts in a white wine lemon sauce over linguine. This was a very tasty and satisfying dish, and -you guessed it- generous. We shared an Affogatto with Bailey's liqueur for dessert which was a perfect end to the meal. Even my espresso was delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. We took home enough left overs for another meal! We will most definitely return.“

“My friend and i were just looking for a cigar bar but i was also a little hungry. Surprisingly i had arguably the best filet mignon of my life here. it was so good. I shared a bit with the others at my table and they were in complete agreement. they had the salmon and was also very satisfied with it. I tap the guests at the table across from us who ordered the largest rack of ribs ever and i asked if that was good too and they said they order it every week. It's so good and falls of the bone. We all know airport food isn't great so being that I got a great meal, I had to give them props. I got the brussel sprouts salad and added chicken. The grilled chicken was well seasoned/charred. Salad was low on brussel sprouts but the mixed greens made up for it. Almonds, pomegranate seeds, and craisins were a nice mix. Overall I'm just happy I got a fresh and good tasting salad in good portion size. Still overpriced but what can you do? It's at the airport.“

There were no burnt spots, the bread was fresh, and the bacon was crispy and soft. Had to get the Nutella Pancakes, which were so fluffy and did not disappoint. There were a good amount of other people in the diner, so getting a seat quickly was nice. Service wasn't anything special, but I don't really mind.The atmosphere of the diner is great, a very retro feel like it just came out of the early to mid 1900s. It was a cozy vibe. We got the 21 shrimp, breakfast burger, french toast, and some fish that was a special- sorry for forgetting the name. Really liked my breakfast burger and my sister's french toast. The shrimp was pretty basic though, and I think the fish could've been seasoned a bit better (it still tasted good!).Overall a pretty good place to drop into if you're looking for an affordable bite with a nice vibe.“

On a reccomendation I tried the Grit Fries - never knowing what grits truly were. To my surprise the delicious crispy crunchy outer layer was nothing compared to the soft warm cloud in the middle. I was sold, sandwich so flavorful along with a side of deep fried heaven - what more can I ask for from my new lunch spot.Service was amazing as people were warm and friendly.
