“CHILI has been my recent favorite discovery. It has a beautiful old-world charm and a delectable sichuan fare. LOVE THE FOOD! It’s authentic and delicious! I would say this place is a good choice for a date night, casual meetup, family dining or just a solo meal. It’s kid-friendly too! So many repeat visits here already and I cannot get enough!Ensure you make a reservation before you go. This place can get quite busy especially on Fridays and weekends. During odd hours, you can do a walk-in too.“
“Went there for dinner after work. The food and service was great. Unlike many other authentic Chinese restaurants, this place is very clean and organized. You can definitely tell that the owner put a lot of efforts into providing an upscale dining experience at reasonable prices. I highly recommend Chi for group dinner or after work drinks&apps at the bar.“
“Me and my sister have been living in NYC for 4 years and Dim Sum Chelsea has become our home away from home. The food is the best dim sum in the city, the atmosphere is cozy and peaceful, and the people here are so kind and friendly. Thank you to Sam and everyone at Chelsea Dim Sum for making our New York experience so amazing. Much love!!!“
“We visited Han Dynasty UWS on Christmas Day for an absolutely fantastic spread. We had a range of starters (the Pork Belly, and Crispy Cucumber were my favourites!), and a few entrees to share (the Hot Sauce Style tofu was a revelation, and the Three Cup Chicken a crowd favourite). One person in our party spent some years living in China, and she was loving every single dish, calling this one of the best Chinese meals she'd had in a long time.We enjoyed our meal at Han Dynasty so much that we ordered takeout a couple of weeks later, which was equally as great! Highly recommended for a slightly more upmarket yet authentic meal!“
“Northern Sichuan jelly has a cool red oil flavor. The hand-shredded cabbage pot is very filling! Very appetizing! The twice-cooked pork is very generous, the meat is a little fatter, and the taste is very authentic.Green Sichuan Pepper Diving Fish, not very impressive in appearance, but the seasoning is so good that my lips are numb after eating it.The spicy pepper chicken tastes a bit like spicy chicken, I think it’s delicious! The spicy chicken is very, very tasty, and the taste is very rich, numb and spicy. The little twists inside are a surprise and delicious. The meat of chestnut braised pork should be fried first. It is very fragrant, fat but not greasy. The chestnuts are sweet and the sauce is perfect when mixed with rice.Black truffle cauliflower is a very special dish. The cauliflower is not the type that is cooked in a dry pot. It has a healthier taste and is quite delicious.Rice wine is added to the jelly, which is not very sweet. It can be used to relieve the spiciness, but it is not recommended. The beef in sour soup is super spicy and sour, very delicious. The beef chow mein was a bit salty.Potato beef is completely delicious that you can make at home. The red soup double crisp is okay. If you want to eat yellow throat and beef louver, you can try it.Husband and wife's beef slices are average.“
“I work in the area and have been eyeing this restaurant for a bit. I finally placed an order for a lunch special. While I didn't sit inside for lunch, it seemed like a nice spot to get lunch. It's affordable and flavorful. You can come here and eat alone or with a group. It's tucked away on a street filled with other Sichuan restaurants and cuisines so it's not packed. I placed the lunch order online for the 10% discount on the restaurant's website and the process was seamless. I ordered the dry hot pot beef lunch special, which came with wonton soup as a side (from two other options) and a container of rice. The only thing I didn't expect was the beef they used. Normally, when you get dry hot pot style food, the beef comes as thinly sliced beef, not shreds of fried beef. My personal preference is thinly sliced beef, but this was different. Overall, the lunch order was still affordable for the area so no complaints. There are plenty of options on their menu including Americanized Chinese takeout food. The service is fast and your food will be ready on time so it's reliable and a great spot if you are craving Sichuan food or Chinese food, in general.“
“It was a cold friday night, and my girlfriend's family and I decided to go to our favorite hot pot restaurant in long island city, but for some reason, they closed for renovation, and that’s why we decided to go to Da Long Yi Hot Pot.We were lucky that we had the table right away.By far for anyone who looking for flavorful hotpot in long island city. I absolutely recommend you to try Da Long Yi hot pot. The quality of meat are excellent. The chestnut chicken soup is rich and creamy.“
“If you’re looking at this because you’re standing in a freezing line to the dumb jazz club next door, this is your sign to just come eat delicious food here instead of the mediocre food there and overhyped jazz which is just like all the other jazz in the rest of the “
“Szechuan Gourmet is definitely one of the best Szechuan restaurants in Manhattan. It’s recommended by Bib Gourmand for years and we finally gave it a visit last weekend. We had their Mapo Tofu, Braised Fish Fillet w Roasted Chili, Sautéed String Beans and Braised Beef Flank Pot. Their portion was decent with a little high price but the taste was outstandingly delicious. The Mapo Tofu was one of my favorites. It was extremely soft and flavorful with mild spicy. Their Braised Fish Fillet w/ Roasted Chili was surprisingly tasty and flavorful. The texture of the fish was delicate with appetizing sauce.“
“Tonight is our last night in New York as a family. Already had my third meal here. We who love Chinese food are so lucky to find this Chinese restaurant. Highly recommended. If you like spicy food, it's basically safe. If you don't like spicy food, you can ask the waiter. They are very nice people. They have different seasonal vegetables every time you come. Remember to ask the waiter. The product is great, I will definitely come back next time I come to New York.“
“This place is really good. The lunch specials have a generous amount of meat.. probably around 10 shrimp for fried rice whereas other places give 5! I’ve enjoyed the lavender milk tea, black fungus, and hot and sour soup. Staple Chinese food.“
“Beautiful interior design, cute booths, ample space despite the relatively small store footprint. Lunch sets were excellent! We ordered 2 lunch sets + an extra main which is just right for two people with large appetites. The double cooked pork and spicy chicken were exceptional - honestly a quality I’d expect in China. The eggplant dish was a bit too sweet (and I’m from an area that eats sweet) but cooked just right otherwise. Ingredient quality was excellent. Highly recommend going for lunch!“
“I started coming here when I discovered this restaurant in February 2023. It has become my go to Chinese restaurant whenever I’m in New York , which is often. I’ve waited a year before writing a review. They have a very friendly staff who are welcoming and always smiling. I love the whole snapper and the fried rice is the best I’ve had in the city. They also have great cocktails , especially the lychee martini All cocktails are $14. Can’t beat that anywhere in the city. The room is cozy with soft jazz playing. I have only come for the lunch but I definitely recommend for the food, drinks and great service. On a side note, I’ve noticed most of the patrons are Asians. That is always a good sign that the food is authentic. I read a review where the writer said she was hassled for a tip. I have been to the restaurant easily ten times in the last year and NEVER have been disappointed.“
“They are always so kind services. Well train staff. Mostly male and a lady when she is on, it is just great! Very good, they are always neat and fresh! I have a lot of food allergies and he was able to catering me! Sincerely, I will be back and all their VIP services plus take out! #Highly Recommended Place! It is a hidden local Jewel!!! Xie Xie Ni!!Kid-friendliness: These gentleman are on top of their caring services!!“
“Overall great experience, the food was very good and service too. The LNY mushroom soup was missing flavor but the eggplant/string beans was a highlight. The braised pork was really good as well as it came apart with chopsticks but was a little fatty.“
“This place never disappoints. Their service is impeccable and every dish I have ever ordered, I have absolutely loved! Never feels too heavy either with fresh ingredients and sauces. Adam, the manager, is the nicest guy and treated my boyfriend and I on our anniversary so well! This place has become and will continue to be a staple for us.“
“I was looking online for a Chinese food place with great reviews when I first heard of Bamboo House. It’s only been a few times that I’ve been able to stop in since I don’t live close, but whenever I’m in Ridgewood, I like to get something to eat here. It’s tough to find a truly great Chinese restaurant & this place lives up to the hype. The portions are generous, the dishes are saucy & flavorful & fresh. What really seals the deal for me though is the service; they are kind & friendly in a warm, sincere way. Bamboo House has been in business for a long time, for good reason. 10/10“
“This was our first hotpot experience ever and we absolutely loved it! The whole concept of pick your own skewers is so cool. And 80cents a skewer? That’s so awesome..! The soup is so full of flavor and the whole experience is amazing. We tasted some of the most unique desserts - ice powder and fresh milk mochi - so good! The best part is we were 4 of us and it didn’t even cross $150 with beer and desserts in total. Definitely a delicious treat which doesn’t burn your pocket.“
“I visited this restaurant on Thanksgiving with friends for a mala pot meal. The food was exceptionally flavorful, and sharing a large bowl of noodles added to the enjoyment of our group experience. I highly recommend this place for an affordable and delightful group gathering.“
“This is great Chinese foodWe had ordered four simple dishes and they all had distinct flavors, weren’t too salty and weren’t too greasy. The food turned out to be above my expectations, portion size is generous. We definitely will be coming back for more!Kid-friendliness: ConsNo training chopsticks, no kid menuProsChicken fried rice is good to the point where our child would eat it! There are juices on the menu and plastic cups for kids wit h lids“
“Legit Szechuan kitchen. There are 2 small tables but the place is really set up for takeout/delivery orders.Beware English isn't their strongest point and there's a fee for credit but the food makes up for their shortcomings. I have ordered many times.“
“We love the Tang. It's a slightly more upscale Chinese place that has a slightly more focused menu than the traditional Chinese restaurant. Our favorites are their spicy diced chicken and drunken noodle soup. I took my family here after their flight came in from SF since its close to my place, and they quickly became obsessed with it and insist on coming back every time they're in town. We dine in and get take out regularly.“
“The year of the Dragon @ 9pm on a Saturday night, Mazu was half full. We otdered a starter portion of Dan Dan noodles...meatless & spicy...at the top of my heat level as well as salt & pepper Shrimp that were absolutely wonderful...moist, great flavor with lite crispy coating & the right amount of salt. We paired everything with Tsing Tao beer, a perfect match. Our friends had spring rolls, mu shu pork & tangerine beef that they enjoyed. There were no leftovers. We will be back.“
“Been coming to this place for over 10 years and finally getting around to write a well deserved review. Whether it be their lunch special or dinner menu, they do not disappoint. My favorite is their dry pot dish, braised beef noodle soup, and the sweet and tangy orange beef. The appetizers are excellent as well as the typical Szechuan cuisines. Please do not change the chef and will keep coming back.“
“We had a delicious meal before the theater. It was recommended by a man walking out with take-out - he said he lives in the neighborhood and gets food from there often. We were not disappointed. Big portions and reasonable prices. Fast service.“
“Incredible ?? lovely staff and beautiful interior. Plus the lunch specials are well priced will definitely be visiting again ?Vegetarian options: A few veggie only dishesWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get into the restaurant which may not be accessible.“
“Mee Noodle Shop is definitely one of the hearts of Hell's Kitchen. It is a small venue, but very popular with the pre-theatre crowd. There were 3 of us that stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was packed! No, I mean PACKED!We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but it soon cleared out because the pre-theatre folks had a curtain. It was worth the wait!A friend who is a frequent diner here, always gets the Cumin Lamb. Well, I like lamb and cumin so me and the other friend with us, followed suit. It is served with fresh steamed broccoli and rice. It did not disappoint. I now know why that's one of her favorite dishes. The menu is chocked full of great dishes and I am looking forward to working my way through the menu selections over time. I am looking forward to my next visit there!Wheelchair accessibility: The chairs can easily be moved to accommodate a wheelchair or mobility device. So I say the venue is accessible.“
“I have been coming to Pig Heaven for years. It’s one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in NYC. Everything I have had here is amazing! While I love their specialties, roast pork spare ribs and roast pork butt, their veggie dishes are equally fantastic. My go-to’s are their wonton soup, soup dumplings, prawns with broccoli, and roast pork fried rice.Service is fantastic! Mandy is “the mayor” she knows everyone and greets one with a warm welcome and attentive care. Everybody loves Mandy, she is the sweetest. Everyone who works here is kind, friendly, and helpful. You know the food is good when you eat a huge meal, but you’re also looking at everyone else’s plates for future inspiration.I’m grateful for Pig Heaven!!“
“Everything was perfect; food service and atmosphere. And less than $15 for a delicious vegetarian lunch! I asked the waiter if they could add some steamed tofu to the veggies, which they did for no additional charge! My friend had a beer, so hers was a bit more.“
“I met my big homie here as he said their lunch special was a quick meal and a potential inflation buster. Nothing gets me out of bed like a potential inflation buster...Chef Yu is like a Chinese version of Buca Di Beppo. A big space with ample room and huge portion sizes at decent prices, but just straight Americanized... they don't even give you chopsticks ahahahaa. But Buca Di Beppo does have its time and place lowkey...they don't wanna have that conversation though. The menu was huge, but I went straight to the lunch specials as you know why I'm here. I got the spicy diced chicken, and I swear to god it came in under 5 minutes from the time the words "spicy diced chicken please" left my carmex filled lips.It came a little too quick (haha) as now I am fully aware that they have a big pot of that chicken on simmer in the back and just go and scoop it out, or they just throw it in the microwave and bring it right out to you. They should have just waited 10 min and I wouldn't have batted an eye. However at $11.95 and a portion big enough for 2, this EASILY qualifies as an inflation buster. The mix of chicken, white rice, and vegetables was honestly pretty damn good I can't even lie. It didn't have me feeling like I was going to die after like some americanized Chinese food does.I ate the whole thing because the chicken did SLAP, and when you from where I'm from you don't leave food on the plate. I'm also just an animal and built different so please don't beat yourself up if you can't finish it...Another reviewer said "the food is like an upscale Panda Express," and I couldn't agree more. Nice comparison Emily C, keep doing you we see you workin!Call it in. Tell the good people. Inflation is in TROUBLE. Chef Yu's lunch special is on its head!!!!!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__“
“I enjoyed my meal here after a long day of business meetings. I was by myself though, and it seemed like the restaurant was more accomodating to parties of two or more. At any rate, the food came to my table piping hot, and my mixed cocktail was wonderful. This was right across the street from my hotel, so easy access and then head to my overnight stay. Beef and vegetables were quite good.“
“Went here for a family special event and it was delicious. As a vegetarian, there weren't too too many veggie friendly dishes but there was mapo tofu (specifically requested) without meat. I've eaten a lot of mapo tofu and this was the best I think I've ever had - such amazing szechuan pepper flavor. Would go back just for that. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the little yogurt drinks they offered at the end of the meal were a hit. Would definitely go back and would definitely get the mapo tofu.Vegetarian options: Honestly, if you don't like szechuan style food this probably isn't the restaurant for you. If you do and you're a vegetarian you're probably very familiar with mapo tofu. If that's the case then you won't be disappointed. There are at least a couple more menu items that are/can be veggie but the mapo tofu alone will make it worth a trip.Parking: Across from a home depot = a big parking lot“
