“What a cutie vibey spot! If you’re looking for super authentic Chinese food, this probably isn’t the move but that doesn’t mean the food isn’t delicious!
We booked for a girls dinner and they knew their audience. Great moody lighting, a destiny’s child playlist, cozy booths, and lots of shareable options.
The staff was incredibly warm and playful too. Nico, the GM, was putting in the work. We saw him visiting every table and charmed the whole dining room. He even sent a complimentary dessert to our table.
Looking forward to going back!“

“This is your no frills - street food stand. You literally order at the window and the auntie makes your rice rolls right in front of you. I got the fresh shrimp rice roll and it was so good! Affordable and quick - definitely a place to stop by.“

“The food was good. Cash or Zelle only. Small establishment. Tried eating at their
outside table but a Chinese guy (next door) decided it was his smoke break, was smoking and it was disgusting he had no consideration for someone else dining experience, I had to leave early.“

“Absolutely amazing dining experience. Nina was accommodating, friendly, and an absolutely delight to visit with while I waited for my food to be prepared. She knew every menu item and made great recommendations.
Food was hot, fresh, and has phenomenal flavor!
I traveled across the country to Staten Island for work but would come back just for another meal here at Lion Dance!“

“We had a very pleasant experience on Sunday Feb 15 , 2 pm at Moon Kee. It was a party of 10 at one of the round tables, for a birthday. Some people were quite hungry, so we started ordering dim sum right away from the trolleys that were making the rounds. All of the dim sum dishes were excellent. The main dishes that came later were also on point: well cooked, tasty and quite large portions. Very few of us were able to finish our meals; many take-away containers were required. The staff kindly helped us serve out a birthday cake that we had brought in. My only small critique, which brought the atmosphere rating down to 4 stars, was that our table, which was the round one closest to the front door, would get blasted by a cold draft whenever the door opened. I recommend that they install some sort of windbreak entrance as you see at many restaurants.
Overall, a delightful experience, large quantities of delicious food at reasonable prices. Will definitely be going back, and will recommend to others.“

“My family and I ate dinner there last night. The food was all delicious! Our server was great. Actually, everyone working was great. I liked that we were asked if anyone had any food allergies. Our cocktails lived up to their descriptions. I definitely will be returning to Red Bowl!“

“I recently discovered that this Chinese restaurant is offering a lunch special. We must maintain quality. Don't sacrifice the quality of our dishes for the sake of increasing traffic. Packed fried chicken I'll try the braised fish set meal next time. We hope to invent more cost-effective package options.“

“Cheap take out
And the food taste pretty good but very salty tho.
I like their broccoli beef or broccoli chicken.
Their fried chicken wings good too.
Crispy outside, very juicy inside.
And they got lunch special special around $6-8 with a drink.
Not bad at all!“

“Chinatown gem for authentic Cantonese—East Season delivers big, fresh flavors! Food was outstanding: roast duck crispy-skinned and juicy, shrimp har gow plump and translucent, BBQ pork tender and sweet-savory, and live clam stir-fry garlicky and briny. Portions huge—great value.
Service was quick and friendly (they hustle during busy times). Atmosphere is classic and energetic—big tables, clattering carts, family vibe—feels like real dim sum chaos in the best way, though it's loud and crowded.“

“Yao is such a hidden gem. I was researching Cantonese restaurants that could host a large party for a birthday dinner without crazy dining room fees and found out about Yao. The space is beautiful and they have round tables big enough to seat up to 14 people. They were very responsive when I called. Service was great all evening and they didn’t even charge me extra fees for bringing an external cake. They even gave us knives to cut and Tupperware for each guest to take a slice home. The food was great and I loved how comfortable and big the table was for my whole party. Also there’s a lot of Asians at this restaurant which means you know the food is good. Highly recommend!!“

“Got the brand sampler. A meal for $19.60.
Here’s what I thought of each item
Har gow / shrimp siu mai - 3/5, hard to get wrong, just didn’t love it, even with the soy sauce.
Chicken siu mai - 5/5, was my favorite
Sticky rice wrap - 1/5, mushroom and sticky rice was not my favorite
BBQ pork bun - 1/5, wasn’t my thing
Crispy shrimp roll - 4/5, pretty good“

“THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I' VE EVER HAD IN NEW YORK. FIRST,we are in line to wait for a table. A couple left and a 50 year old like woman waitress asked us to sit. But then, we were told by another young waitress to leave the table cuz the table should be for another couple. Ok we gave the seats to them. But I heard that old waitress said we lied to her that we were the next customer for seats. I was angry. Then we got the seats after we were called. Unfortunately we got the seats but we sat right next to that couple. That man kept noticing us and murmuring to the woman. They kept verbally abusing us with all bad words. I felt uncomfortable. I could hear that old lady waitress said sth bad about us to the young waitress. After they left, we ready to check out. The young waitress had ignored us like two times amd even she put her back facing to us and just pretended not to hear anything. I was like#%^*+-/^*+=[{{%^}*{+!!!! Finally that waitress came over with fake smile after I said I would not go there anymore. I gave them tips and they kept saying thank you and I just ignored them. My announcement: I definitely won't step in there any more in my life!!! The service is THE WORST and MEAN, that old lady waitress kept making people around misunderstood us and jut did not admit her fault. This person is not Honest and just pushed responsibility on other innocent customers which made us felt bad and sad!!! So frustrated as being same as Chinese, they behaved in this such a way!!! We order some food and they just tasted not as good as we expected. Just normal food which you can definitely get something better somewhere else!!! WILL DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR A GOOD MOOD YO EAT!!! IT WILL RUIN YOUR DAY!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDING "LIKE CAFE" with the worst service I've ever received in my life!!!!“

“A very cozy and earnest place with authentic Chinese food in the form of small bites and classic dishes. The duck was super succulent and came with cucumber, scallion and traditional Chinese wraps. We also had the lamb and beef skewers which were so tender and flavorful! Definitely one of my favorites.
Saw lots of people who also dug into the hot pot and the grilled bass stewed in the big trays which also looked amazing. Will definitely be trying those next time around.
All in all a hidden gem with unassuming vibes but very cute decor (and funny! If you're in the private room in the back 😉). The plating and dishes are creative while still staying true to their roots.“

“It's a storefront, wheelchair accessible. I dine in and also had takeout. You should try the special lunch menu, one big dish with rice.
If you order takeout, The dish and the rice are packed separately.
It's a Cantonese restaurant.“

“If you know what’s authentic, come, the duck and geese is exactly how they made it in Guangdong. It is actually shocking how they can get it so right. If you don’t know what’s up, keep your distance and stop leaving bad review because your tastes lack variety or they did not give you a fine dinning experience. This is a 10 dollar meat over rice place ffs“

“If you miss (or dream of) the classic Hong Kong lunch spot, this is it. Located in the heart of NYC Chinatown.
Its clean modern deco, and conversation able environment makes it the prefect place for a power lunch or catch up time with friends. The staff is kind and patient when you are overwhelmed with the extensive menu. Protip: take their suggestions.
The menu covers Hong Kong style sandwiches and dumplings (plus more).
Bonus a gorgeous bathrooms with heated toilet that made me weak in the knees.
The Hong Kong tea is one to try.
My understanding is at night it transforms into a Japanese restaurant.
I'll have to come back for that experience.“

“Confused by previous reviews that state no one eats here anymore, as sitting here at lunchtime on a recent weekday showed a flurry of both delivery orders and dine-in customers. The menu is for sure pan-Asian/reflective of American-Chinese dishes, but also serves some specifically Chinese dishes, such as a few dim sum favorites that are harder to find unless you're at a Cantonese restaurant. Lunch special is a great deal with sizeable portions. Love that they keep the fridge stocked with desserts (believe some of them are from Vegan Treats?) and often have additional off-menu homemade items for sale at the counter or in the fridge, including ones related to Chinese cultural holidays. Always glad to support this small family-run business and have personally found their food to be consistent for the wide range of what they're cranking out of their kitchen! Hope they keep sticking around for years to come, as it's a great vegan option in this immediate area. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-01“

“Decent food selection. Very suited for 2-4 proplr but you can call ahead and they move the tables to make it work. My favorite 3 items are the sigapore curry mei fan but i switch with ho fun (noodle preference and i think it tastes way better). My other 2 items are the clay pot rice and 3 bbq meats ober rice. They offer hot tea and warm water as well!“
“Came here for a late lunch along with my infant son. Left impressed with the food and the value of their lunch portions. The salt and pepper pork and fish casserole dish were my favorites here. The staff were accommodating and took time from their own lunch break to serve us. The only downside is that this place is quite far from where I live.“

“The food here is phenomenal! I wish we'd taken photos but we stumbled into this place while escaping the rain and were surprised (and a little cautious) after finding it empty (it was a weekday lunch in a more residential area, though 10 mins walk from The MET). I had the best scallion pancakes here and our group got homestyle beancurd and a chicken dish (I think it was general tso). Everything was perfect and quite reasonable for the area! I'd say this place is a must visit!!“

“This place has great tasting Cantonese style Chinese food. Every we've ordered has been perfectly seasoned with lots of flavor yet not overly salty. We've had the salt & pepper pork chops, chicken & eggplant with salted dried fish, fried tofu, roast garlic chicken, beef and broccoli, clams with black bean sauce, and beef chow fun.“
