Highly recommend, one, if not the best, Chinese food in the area.“

“I ordered the Bao Bao noodles. The spice level was just right, but the vegetables were so bitter that I couldn’t eat most of them. That said, they have a wide variety of dishes, so I’d like to try something else next time. The food came in a plastic container, and the order was prepared pretty quickly.“

We got the High Mixed appetizer and the chicken pad Thai. The sampler was good. Spring rolls were good and the dumplings were good. Couldn't do the crab for seafood allergy but the fourth item, we didn't like. It was the texture and didn't have the flavor I was expecting based on the presentation. Service was ok. They had a little bit of a crowd and got them out of there promptly. The pad Thai was really good. It had the perfect amount of flavor and it was light. We needed it to be light because it is hot outside and we still have a lot of walking to do. Overall, it was good. That last item on the High Mixed can go.“

The drink tokens for the tea-infused liquors are sooo cool and fun, we all got different kinds and shared. Super yummy. Great spot so close to Grand Central, wish I had known about it sooner! The fried rice is awesome and the general tso’s chicken was delicious, with portions so big that we took home leftovers. “After a day of sightseeing in NYC, we decided to check out Hoboken for a quick bite. Found this place that looked pretty cheery inside. We ordered two chef bowls, bulgogi and the beef bowl. The beef was juicy, but a bit overcooked for my taste, but the rest of the bowl was very tasty! The Bulgogi bowl was outstanding! Meat was flavorful, but not overpowering like what bulgogi usually tends to be. Staff was very kind and inviting!“

“Had an excellent experiencing hosting a pre-wedding event on a Friday for ~100 people. We had half the restaurant for people to mix, mingle, eat, and drink.

All the guests were raving about how much they loved the food and drinks, and people were genuinely looking forward to it.

Made planning a huge event in the midst of all other wedding planning stress super easy. And the value for what we got was incredible, a fraction of the price others quoted us with so much more food and drink offered.

“Fillmore Deli and Backroom is a pretty solid neighborhood spot with a surprising mix of options. The Korean fried chicken is actually really good crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. They also have a large variety of sandwiches, so there’s something for whatever mood you’re in.

One thing that always throws me off though is they tend to run out of the tuna pretty often, which is strange for a deli. But besides that, everything else seems to be okay. It’s a reliable place to grab a quick bite and the food usually hits the spot.“
