“This cafe is so lovely. I had the pleasure of Desi and Aida assisting me with my order. They made the most delicious soy chai with amazing foam. Their desserts were amazing as well. It was refreshing to be greeted with such positive and friendly energy in New York. I can't wait to come back when I am in the area. Make sure to come to this cafe if you want a lovely experience and great food and drinks!“

“My friend Cristina, who had been raving about this place for a long time, treated us to my husband’s birthday brunch here, and she was not wrong. What a gem! The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the place was very clean with a nice atmosphere. It’s also BYOB, which makes it even better. Such a great addition to the community. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back with my family!“

“We fancied a light brunch on our way up to the Broadway theatre for a matinee show of The Buena Vista Social Club and as we had enjoyed our brunch at the Tartinery café & bar in Greenwich Village last week, we decided to try their branch on Park Ave.
The café was very busy with a lot of office workers having lunch, however, we were shown to a small table for two without having to wait. The menu at this branch was very silmilar to the one at Greenwich Village, however, they didn't have the eggs benedict my wife really enjoyed there, so she had the avocado on toast with the additional of a soft poached eggs today, which she really enjoyed, and a latte. I went for the lunch combo deal of a delicious creamy chestnut & mushroom soup with a fantastic chicken salad petite tartine with celery & pistachio. We also ordered a very tasty ham & cheese croissant to share whilst we waited for our main courses.
We were served by a very friendly and helpful waitress and used the male & female toilets at the back of the café. There's also a takeaway counter near the entrance selling pastries & hot drinks to go.“

“Looooved the atmosphere at this cute Puerto Rican owned cafe. The coquito latte?! AMAZING. My friend got the avocado toast and I got the breakfast sandwich on Mexican bread. 9/10! The only downfall was that people were comfortably seated and no one was really policing the tables, but my friend and I finally got a seat and were able to enjoy the experience a little better.“
“This place is such a vibe! I visited after my eye dr appointment and it most certainly won’t be my last time visiting. I had a special coffee called the Samoa and it was amazing. I also had a chocolate croissant that was flaky and filled to the brim. I’m writing this review days After visiting this establishment because I can’t get the coffee out of my head. If you were in the area and need a place to work remotely or just enjoy a great cup of coffee, this is the place for you.“

Baha, the barista, was incredibly kind and made the whole place feel extra welcoming. A total gem in the Upper East Side. Saved and starred!“

“Mochaccino, an exquisite tall glass of deliciousness!
One delish croissant deserves another. I started with the king of croissants, the Tiramisu, it had a presence that commands. My 2nd selection was the ever so lively Almond croissant. Each sweet treat was a delight with every bite. Quinoa Salad, it had a bounty of spinach and other delish healthy options like chickpeas and avocados.
The staff is incredible, thanks for your hospitality!“

“I'm a Long Islander, I been lucky to have some amazing coffee places all over the states. But ironically I did not try their coffee nor did I give their lattes a try, I felt they were kind of small for the price and just a typical NYC thing, but let me just say it is probably worth it quality wise. The Croffles are AWESOME! I had a Tiramisu and Earl Grey one. Earl Grey cakes and flavors are making their way more onto menus and I am all for it! The early grey croffle was so good, and don't let the small size fool you, that thing filled me up. It is literally "something sweet" it was very sweet but so tasty. Tiramisu was really good too, I just felt it was nothing insane but it was tasty on the croffle. Maybe because also it had nothing to balance it with a bitter taste, Tiramisu lady fingers gives it that espresso taste, it did have some espresso beans and powdering on it but not strong enough for my taste. They also had matcha tiramisu they sell and have some cool pre-made stuff, a tasty Korean inspire one looked so good!
I love speciality coffee, but I have to give it to these places, they are smart to go into baking, this was so tasty and gave me a wake me up with it's natural tea and tiramisu did have a that espresso vibe.
Also shoutout to the workers, very friendly, super funny, not too casual friendly, professional and just very kind people. NYC is a fast place, especially around 55th it can feel like everything is moving quick, even a bit lonely the city that is so big, it was nice to just have a chill chat and meet someone nice and the workers were down to earth! I'm a bit of a fisherman hillbilly and NYC is too much for me when visiting to see family, but places like these keep me going!
Give this place a try, worth the money!“

“The egg toasts were delectable! Actually so happy my sister and I chose to come by. It has a tiny kick of spice which was a pleasant surprise. My sister got the vanilla flat white coffee and she loved it and finished it so quickly. The only thing I wasn't over the
moon for was the corndog. I got the mozarella hot dog corn dog and it was okay. I wouldn't get it again.
The space is small but offers some seating indoors and outdoors. I will definitely try to come again for the egg toast specifically.“

“Amid the buzz of NoMad, Slate Cafe feels like a breath of calm. The interiors are thoughtfully designed neutral tones, subtle textures, and that perfect window light that makes your coffee moment feel a little more cinematic.
The baristas know their craft without the attitude, and each cup reflects that care especially the flat white, which somehow always lands just right. Their bites are seasonal and intentional, but it’s the vibe that lingers with you: easygoing, grown-up, and refreshingly distraction-free.
Slate isn’t trying to be everything. It’s just quietly, confidently good. And in a city that never stops, that stillness is rare and worth returning to.“

“I'm genuinely perplexed as to why City Coffee & Bar doesn't put its culinary offerings front and center. While their coffee and drinks are, of course, excellent, the food experience here is truly exceptional. Having worked in Lower Manhattan for over a decade and explored countless Midtown eateries, I can confidently say this is the pinnacle of Modern American Dining.
The dishes are incredibly delicate, refined, and, most importantly, exquisitely delicious. From their fantastic hamburger, where the bun and patty achieve a perfect harmony, to the diverse flavors of their Burrito, Shakshuka, and House Granola, every item is top-notch. Their Omelets, Pancakes, Lemon Chicken Paillard, and various sandwiches also consistently impress.
Even seemingly simple sides like their French fries and sweet potato fries are outstanding. Their French fries, in particular, surpass even those from establishments renowned for their fries, like Five Guys. City Coffee & Bar stands out not just as a superb cafe or bar, but as one of New York's finest casual dining destinations. It's truly a must-visit.“

I also appreciate the cozy atmosphere — perfect for working, reading, or catching up with friends. Their food is delicious too (highly recommend the avocado toast!). “Cafe Carmellini doesn’t serve dinner — it stages it. The space feels like if old New York and Paris had a perfectly dressed baby. Every detail is choreographed, but it never feels stiff.
Started with the zucchini flowers lobster and artichoke Provençal — light, layered, and borderline poetic. The duck, duck, duck tortellini? A playful name hiding serious precision — pure Carmellini flex.
Then the squab en cocotte landed like a mic drop — perfectly cooked, rich but composed, the kind of dish that makes you remember why New York is still the best food city on Earth.
Closed it out with the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate ganache — pure indulgence, no regrets.
Verdict: 9.6/10.
Cafe Carmellini is what happens when craftsmanship meets confidence. Every bite says, we know exactly what we’re doing.“
