“The experience was spectacular start to finish. Greeted nicely and service throughout was really excellent; paced well, not rushed or intrusive at all. really lovely. Hannah was great! We ordered from the restaurant week menu and a couple of other wise dishes (kimchi, bread and nori butter, patatas bravas). Of these the bread and butter was the least interesting, kimchi and patatas bravas were excellent. Starters -- frogs legs and hamachi, both amazing, cooked perfectly. Small plates -- soba a(with uni supplement) and celery salad, both excellent, soba was our favorite of the two. Salad was very fresh and nice. Entress, hangar steak and chicken sandwich. Steak in particualr outstanding -- cooked perfectly great sauce. Chicken sandwich is big and delicious Dessert -funfetti cake and panna cotta, both excellent. Drinks -- love the selections here boith zero proof and the wine/beer/cocktail options. Passion fruit marg and balsamic negroni excellent; sparkling hibiscus was really good and not to sweet. And the Cava by the glas very nice. The collab with brooklyn cider was a nice Basque style cider that paired nicely with the food. Overall, excellent and will be back!“

“Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food. The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“After a cold and windy morning, not being able to get into one of the morning shows, we ran across this little restaurant by accident for brunch. They quickly welcomed us in with open arms and fresh hot coffee. It was one of the best brunches I've ever had, but what made it even more special was Joey the owner overheard our story, knowing we had a rough morning, and gifting us one of his comfort food cookbooks! The day couldn't have been any better. I can't wait to try one of his delicious Italian recipes this holiday season. I highly recommend the Little Owl. I certainly will be going back in the future!“

“Wonderful dinner from start to finish. We had the pleasure of being served by Ramos, who was attentive, affable, and awesome. We started with the tots & caviar, which was like McDonald hash browns on steroids and the tuna cannolis (also on the smaller side but undeniably delicious). We got the duck ravioli which had a great balance of umami and acidity (the ravioli itself was cooked to perfection). We also were lucky enough to finesse the off menu truffle burger, which is easily an S tier burger (same level as lions bar and better than a PJ Clark’s - steakhouse style, not smashed) Fries were unreal. The dirty Martin’s (w/blue cheese olives) were also perfection and the Cali cab to wash it all down was equally delectable. 10/10. Great food, ambiance, and service. Will be back.“

“My boyfriend and I visited Inga's on the Sunday after Valentine's Day and loved every moment of our dinner! We live down in Cobble Hill so the 20 min walk was easy and I loved approaching this beautiful warmly lit corner restaurant on a cold blustery night. I had made the reservation a few week prior and we were greeted and seated almost immediately at a little two top. I remarked on how impressive the acoustics were for an open dining room with intimate tables and was grateful the music wasn't too loud so we could hear each other (though the music I did catch was pretty cool). The mixed vintage decor and antique light features add to the nostalgic impression that you're being hosted in someone's dining room.
We started with cocktails: I ordered the martini and was very happy with it as a perpetual dirty gin martini lover and my boyfriend can't remember what he ordered, but it was also enjoyed. We had the scallop crudo, poached shrimp, and octopus to start, all of which we loved (the shrimp with the green curry aioli was my favorite). And we shared the Guinness short rib with a side of fries--also so good and every texture was on point! Next time we'll try to save room for that chocolate cake I've seen photos of online and to also try out what looks like to be a great wine list. We also want to have lunch at the bar and order the burger!
We left Inga's with a soft snow falling outside and I realized we were on Cranberry Street where Cher's family in Moonstruck is supposed to live. We wandered to the water feeling very lucky to be in love and alive in this amazing city with such amazing food.“

“Want to make your pallet dance? Of course you do! Boutros is the place to go from their tantalizing cocktails to their original baba ghanoush and falafel you’ll be simply amazed. Old school, traditional recipes with a twist of new flare. Mikey is a wizard for creating his cocktails. I had the pleasure of trying two of them that he created after thinking about them for 12 years and I highly recommend them the Garlic Gibson and the Bitter tree, both are amazing. Allen, who is the chef and owner and named this quaint little place after his dad will delight you with his specialties my Sister and I had the mushroom hummus. The short rib wraps are beautiful salad and baba ghanoush to name a few. Hurry up, you won’t be disappointed!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Omg, where do I begin….
The ambience and vibe amazing!!! Food was delicious, drinks were fabulous. Had a cheeseburger, included was melted cheddar cheese and mushrooms. Also came with a salad which was sooo good. This place made thee best chocolate martini.
Olivia, the server was also amazing, so sweet and attentive. She made the experience even better, couldn’t have been happier. And the bathroom was very clean and smelled so good with a scented candle.
You will not be disappointed…. So happy my manager recommended this place.“

“Had a wonderful brunch today at Hudson Clearwater. The smoothie was outstanding. This is a quaint rustic spot and deserves all the love for their vegan friendly menu. I chose the blackened fish sandwich and it did not disappoint. The Cole slaw on the brioche bun, lightly covered with tarter sauce, made for a perfect sandwich. Their fries were delectable as well. Great service, and a great meal with my sweetheart.“

“We had an excellent pre-theatre dinner for eleven. Colorful decor, fun cocktails, great apps to share and delicious entrees. Staff were friendly and efficient. “Exquisite. Ben Hopkins - who runs the drink program, has created an unbelievable cocktail & drink program - there really is something for everyone including great N/A options. I’d say it’s worth it just for drinks alone, however, the food was also UNREAL. A celebration of low country cooking reimagined, with the nostalgia of a French bistro, with flavors and spices from around the world. Our server Jodi was not only excellent and attentive, she was fun, and spoke about the food like a chef. Even helped us course our meal so certain flavors wouldn’t mix. It was above and beyond.
5 stars. 10 stars. Just excellent. Go to Pitt’s. And thank you Ben!“

“A fun place with interesting people watching but I came alone hoping to sit at the bar and was expecting and comfortable with waiting for an hour since it was as a Saturday (it was 6pm but that wasn’t early enough), but they were not sitting solo diners and instead would wait for seats next to each other to open up to sit couples, at one point leaving and open seat available for about 20 minutes.“

“Homey ambience. Smiling service. Flowing wine (if you get the pairing.
By any regular metric, this is a 5/5. Unfortunately, this is New York. More unfortunately, they have a Michelin star. Thus, they must be judged within the strata in which they belong.
The ingredients were FRESH. This is their calling card. The carrots, the squash, the beets, the buckwheat. Kudos to their souring.
The meal is an imbalanced (to me and my table). We were craving protein, and this place highlights the produce. I will say the tastiest dish was a non meat course (mushrooms in a dashi broth)
Not top of my list, but massive respect to what they serve and what they represent.“

“Demo never disappoints. The food is consistently good. Interesting textures and flavors to all their dishes. Great for sharing. The wine selections are of course interesting and varied. The service is really unique. Attentive, friendly but never intrusive. We were greeted warmly by the host. Even though we booked that day and made a request to be seated at our favorite two seats at the bar, they accomodated us which was not at all expected but very much appreciated. Demo is special.“

“A masterclass in precision—every dish feels deeply personal rather than performative. Each dish balances restraint and intensity: umami hums beneath bright acids and thoughtful textures, making even familiar ingredients feel newly intelligent. It’s the rare Manhattan restaurant that’s both soulful and exacting, a place you crave not for spectacle, but for how completely it understands flavor. Wonderful people leading the way.“

“The best 5 course meal my wife and I have ever had thus far. Our hands down favorite, and rightfully so as sushi fanatics, was the hamachi. Talk about fresh on fresh on fresh on fresh. Fresh fish, fresh fruit, fresh sauce, fresh cream, fresh presentation—insanely delicious and refreshing.
The tiger bread was some of the most exceptional bread we've ever had as well. The garlic was as buttery smooth to spread as the whipped butter itself, and was pleasantly flavorful without being overly potent.
My next course was the butternut squash rigatoni. The garnish on top was light and crisp and added that extra accent to the whole dish to round it off beautifully. My wife got the iberico pork, which was cooked to tender perfection. The broccoli mash concoction that came with it was reminiscent of broccoli rabe but basically in it's ultimate form anime-style. Crazy inventive.
The next course for me was the beer battered monkfish with risotto and was actually the best beer battered anything I've ever tasted. Superior crisp encasing that mouth melting fish. The risotto had crispy chunks in it as well and helped offset the heaviness of the fried fish like a wife offsets her husband's hard shell exterior and gives way to his heart of flesh. Speaking of, my wife got the lamb with risotto and it was yet again a perfectly tender cut of meat. It was smokey and carried a more intense flavor, which also was rounded out by the gentleness of the risotto, complimenting it on that marital level yet again.
Lastly, the desserts came in and ended the whole show the same way it began—with favorite-level energy. It was the solid second favorite course for both of us. Mine was the panna cotta. Yo. It went crazy. It was like a salted caramel apple cheesecake, but after finding a way to dial in each ingredient to the max before artistically laying it all out on a plate without any of the cheesecake crust. I LOVE sweet/savory, and it encapsulated that in a dessert beautifully. My wife had the chocolate cake with ice cream, and like we don't even know how to properly describe how good that one was—but here goes nothing. The cake was dark dark and rich rich from the sauce oozing on top to the moist pastry itself. The ice cream had a citrus undertone to it that balanced out the richness of the cake. Literally, yin and yang on a plate with the freshest chocolate drenched cherries on top. Good Lord, the Lord is good indeed.
The service was top notch, from the warm greetings, to the coat check in, to the menu break down, to the seamless water refilling and course transitions. We are big on omakase type meals as sushi heads, and this was up there while being a fraction of the price. There was a chill and comforting vibe to the whole restaurant as well. Take a trip here and let them take your palette on a trip it will sing praises on the whole way through. Bless.“

“We visited Pearl Street for the third time in a year and it somehow keeps getting better. We have always thought it was a great restaurant, but this visit truly stood out. The food was fun, creative, and incredibly tasty, and the service was warm and welcoming.
We did the chef’s tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was a complete no brainer. Every course was excellent and thoughtfully paired. Easily one of the best dining experiences we have had in years. Do not overthink it. Just go. A solid 10 out of 10. We will be back very soon. Thank you!!!“

“An Unforgettable Culinary Experience at Bar 56 – Brooklyn’s Hidden Gem
We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Bar 56 in Brooklyn this evening, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of the DUMBO district, between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, this spot is not just a restaurant – it’s a destination.
From the moment we walked in, we were enchanted by the stylish, warm and inviting atmosphere. The space is beautifully designed and creates a perfect setting to enjoy a leisurely and elevated meal with nice background music and perfect ambient lighting.
We opted for several small plates to share, including fresh oysters, a divine tuna tartare, and outstanding ravioli. As a side, the Brussels sprouts were simply exceptional. Every bite was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and executed with finesse. The food alone would have been enough to make this a memorable night.
The wine list is a standout feature: original and thoughtfully curated, allowing guests to choose based on flavor profiles rather than just region or grape. We enjoyed a wonderful bottle of Italian Pinot Grigio that complemented our dishes perfectly.
Our evening was made even more special thanks to the impeccable service. A huge thank you to Yajaira – warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. Toward the end of the evening, we had the pleasure of meeting Chef Quintin Demarre, a passionate French chef whose love for food and taste shines in every dish. His enthusiasm and dedication to his craft truly elevate the entire experience.
And we can’t forget the desserts (Pistache Crème Brûlée and Apricot Granita) – absolutely phenomenal. Rich, inventive, and beautifully presented. We ended with a nice glass of Royal Tokaji white (dessert) wine from Hungary. The perfect sweet ending to an already flawless meal.
Bar 56 is an absolute must-visit for anyone in New York City. It’s worth the short trip to Brooklyn just to experience this level of culinary excellence and genuine hospitality in a great upcoming area. Michelin-worthy in every sense. We’ll definitely be back – and we’ll be telling everyone we know to go.“

“Approachable fine dining exceeds all expectations. Every aspect of the experience is top-notch, from the impeccable service to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Paul at the bar is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and his cocktails are beautifully balanced. We had a delightful conversation about gin and mezcal, and his expertise was evident.
Our table had a lovely view of the well-appointed and choreographed kitchen, adding to the overall ambiance. The service was impeccable, and there was no need to rush. We were given ample time to enjoy the food and the highest level of service.
When we made our selections, our server, Noelle, described each menu item in beautiful detail. The scallops in blood orange and romaine with green goddess were a standout dish, followed by bucatini for me and monkfish for him. The sommelier, Allie, paired the perfect wine for each course, enhancing the dining experience.
The attention to detail and the overall experience for laid back fine dining were truly exceptional. It was an honor to be their guest, and I highly recommend their offerings to anyone seeking a truly memorable dining experience. Don’t skip dessert Thank you Silvia for attention to detail.“
