“OMG there is no better sandwich shop anywhere. We came here in the 60’s when the docks had bulk cargo. Between the truckers and the longshoremen it was packed between 11:30 and 1:00.
Never Ever had a bad sandwich or experience. The people that worked there were the very best.“

The bread is a wonderful French baguette that comes from another great spot in Williamsburg but you’ll have to ask them for their source I won’t spill it here. You can choose between 3 meats you want on your sandwich we picked chicken and spill the sandwich cause we also order nachos which were also great. I would give this place a visit I’ve never seen/had anything like it and it was very satisfying.“

“I believe I've found the locals' sandwich shop, where the pastrami is prime, and the soups are served piping hot. In my search for an alternative to Katz's, I stumbled upon this shop hidden in the shadow of the Flatiron Building. This place is so good that I went twice in one week. I'm a big fan of split pea soup, which was excellent, served in a bowl filled to the brim. The pastrami sandwich and the Flatiron Delight are both outstanding! Served with a pickle on the side. There is a bottle of mustard waiting on the side that is optional of course. I do believe this is the alternative to Katz, perhaps even better, avoid the tourist trap of Katz's and park yourself at the counter at Eisenberg's.“

“Delicious food for breakfast and lunch. I've had the Buongiorno breakfast sandwich with eggs, prosciutto, truffle cream and arugula, it's so good yummy. The pizza is also delightful and the crust is thick. Definitely check it out!“

“Walked to Shelskys on a cold windy Brooklyn Friday afternoon, but when I say it was worth it....it was worth it. After about 5 min of browsing, we decided on the Tuna Salad, which is served with sliced jalapeños and a spicy shrimp paste. It's got some heat, but nothing a Mexican from Chicago cant handle! Everything you see is fresh, and you can taste it. Prices aren't cheap but sometimes you gotta treat yo self!!! 10/10!“

“This was our first time trying this famous sandwich place. Thus, we were not sure what were the options. Unfortunately, they do not have a list of menu. However, they were very patient with us and told us what the special sandwiches of the day were. We got that day's special which was roastbeef. It was quite delicious. The team went above and beyond, very communicative, thoughtfully asked how and what guests enjoy, worked with us to craft the perfect set of sandwiches… then came the actual day. “Had the best Saturday stop at All'Antico Vinaio in the West Village before heading to work. The staff were singing Italian songs while making the sandwiches, and the energy was so joyful and authentic. It truly felt like a little slice of Italy in NYC. The guy working there was very nice. Only negative was the music he had playing which had a lot of cussing (we had kids with us). Other than that this place was great! They only have one small table to sit at, so you shouldn't plan on eating there. There's a big menu and the coffee is always fresh. I always see the same guy working there, and you can tell he knows what he's doing. If you are in the area and need something quick and easy and reasonably priced this is the place to go.“
