“Walked to Shelskys on a cold windy Brooklyn Friday afternoon, but when I say it was worth it....it was worth it. After about 5 min of browsing, we decided on the Tuna Salad, which is served with sliced jalapeños and a spicy shrimp paste. It's got some heat, but nothing a Mexican from Chicago cant handle! Everything you see is fresh, and you can taste it. Prices aren't cheap but sometimes you gotta treat yo self!!! 10/10!“

However, they were very patient with us and told us what the special sandwiches of the day were. We got that day's special which was roastbeef. It was quite delicious. “Had the best Saturday stop at All'Antico Vinaio in the West Village before heading to work. The staff were singing Italian songs while making the sandwiches, and the energy was so joyful and authentic. It truly felt like a little slice of Italy in NYC. “I asked for a Pastrami Hero but needed help on what to put on it, hot or cold. The gentleman working to make my samdwich was extremely helpful in helping decide how to make it (haven't had one before) and the result was incredible.

Every time I come to NYC, I love the hospitality of these local shops. I could tell he cared about making a high quality sandwich that I would like and he succeeded.

“Originally going to Katz’s but the line was insanely long. Found this place by chance and I’m so glad we did. This was the best sandwich I’ve ever had (The Fran). I’m not sad for missing Katz’s. The guy working there was very nice. Only negative was the music he had playing which had a lot of cussing (we had kids with us). Other than that this place was great! Mostly carry out, there is 1 big table for seating.“

“If you were looking for a cup of coffee and a sandwich at 4:30 a.m. this is your spot! I've been in here several times, and the place is spotless. They only have one small table to sit at, so you shouldn't plan on eating there. There's a big menu and the coffee is always fresh. I always see the same guy working there, and you can tell he knows what he's doing. If you are in the area and need something quick and easy and reasonably priced this is the place to go.“

“It had been a little bit since we've been in (life gets in the way sometimes) but as soon as my husband & I walked in the door we were hit with that heavenly Blimpies scent of fresh ingredients that is indicative of Blimpies & Blimpies alone. It just smells like delicious subs. We realized, after speaking to the wonderful owner, that we've been getting the BEST subs in the world at this location for over 40 years! My pick is a "Blimpies Best" (extra oil & vinegar) honestly it was perfect. My husband gets a turkey & provolone which was terrific (he gave me puppy dog eyes & got a huge chunk of mine too)
Eateries come & go but the best stay, this is worthy of place in your rotation.
I should also say that I live in Nutley with quite a few Italian delis & pizzerias so if I'm saying the Italian sub (Blimpies Best) is terrific that's saying a lot.“
