“We got seated right away. We were a party of six and they had no problems feeding us. The server was very kind and very nice. He continually checked on us and asked us if he needed anything. It took about 5 minutes before he took drinks and food. The OG was very good and it came with a Caesar salad that was delicious. I would not recommend the rigatoni with pesto unless you're getting it. As aside. It is very filling. Also, the tables were very sticky. Overall, I would recommend this if you need a quick place to eat.“

“This place has a really cool vibe. A non touristy place right in the middle of Times Square. Really cool art and decoration. However, the painting of the woman in the all-gender bathroom was disturbing to me. And I like a lot of different kinds of art. However, I wasn't expecting to see a velvet painting of a bound and nude indigenous woman with tears in her eyes..

If you order anything I would suggest the pancakes. They're amongst the best I've ever had! Seriously. I'm not exaggerating! However, one of the people in my party was disappointed with her order of chicken and waffles. It was listed as hot and spicy but really wasn't at all. Her order was comped and the waitress handled it really well so I appreciated that.

The shared apps that I tried were mostly OK. Try the potato skins. They're quite good! You can get the bacon on the side so non pork eaters can have them while pork eaters can add it themselves. The banana bread wasn't anything to write home about plus the portions were not quite large enough to be considered a shared app.

And they give out green tea shots when you close out the check. If you're not a drinker, make sure you tell them to decline this. I wasn't expecting that. They had the right amount of sweet and sour. No green tea in them though 😂

All in all problematic art aside I recommend Ms. Nellie's for a good brunch place.“

Mike A was an outstanding server. It all started with a warm welcome by the Maitre D, a great conversation with the Hostess, and then an amazing experience by Mike & the serving staff. The soft shell crab & shrimp cocktail appetizers were exceptional. And we had the 30 oz porterhouse steak to share. Cooked to perfection. Finally, the steak sauce that is prepared at your table is epic. Highly, highly recommend!! Be informed - it does get loud in there when full of customers. Still can't wait to to go back!“

“Went there a while back with my boyfriend, and hands down, one of the best date nights of our lives. The food was delicious, the service was incredible. The host was so attentive, and personally came to our table to check if everything was good.
We typically don't order desserts, but that night, we called for their oreo cheesecake, I still get dreams about that.
All in all, I never leave reviews, but if you are in the area, please do give it a try. It's for sure to unlock some core memories for you.“

“Beyond expectations, which were high to begin with. The most welcoming and warm staff, very attentive and in perpetual motion. We were here celebrating our 40th anniversary, and they rolled out the red carpet, so to speak. They make you feel like a VIP. The food is perfectly prepared and beautifully plated. My husband said his short ribs were the best he'd ever had. My scallops over veggie paella were cooked just right (always tricky with seafood). Since we had pre-gamed with Prosecco, I can't speak to the cocktails. Ended with a lemon creme brulee - so light and creamy dreamy delicious with its lemon zing. And finally, the setting. How gorgeous - a light-filled atrium/conservatory nestled in the park, just magical. Can't wait to return. “My friends and I went to the restaurant on a Wednesday rainy day I had the cinnamon raisin french toast with chicken and the fried shrimp it was very good the french toast is amazing. We also had the bottom less mimosas when I tell you they never let the glass hit the bottom. The service was excellent very positive and comfortable environment we sat for a while. we ate talked and danced and the staff continued to accommodate us beyond our reservation time limit. I will definitely visit Chocolat' again when in New York“

“Update: Unfortunately I have to deduct a star because I ordered the cilantro marinated chicken breast with angel hair and the chicken was hard and dry and the pasta was mushy and completely bland and unseasoned.

My first time ordering from here and the food was really good. I ordered a breakfast sandwich that was so good that I ordered dinner from there that same night. Both arrived hot and fresh. The only thing is that I thought the chicken sandwich came with salad (as pictured) but it came with fries. Either way everything was really good. They also have one of the best chai lattes I’ve tried in the city.“
