“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

Not only was our food vivacious, extraordinary, and a religious experience for the palate — our server, Sam, was nothing but helpful and attentive throughout our entire meal. He was incredibly inviting and warm (this guy should do stand up) and our experience would not have been the same without him. Now for the food. The flavors… where do I even begin? Rich. Luxurious. Multi-faceted. Whether it’s a poke bowl or a shrimp tempura roll you are guaranteed a transformative experience. When eating here, be ready for excellence. No joke. 11/10 will be coming back. Additionally, the atmosphere in this niche underground Montclair spot was nothing short of perfection. “Decided to stop in after a tour visit to Montclair University and receiving a gift card for Christmas. Everything was delicious. We ordered brisket fries,cheese fries, smash patty melt, Montclair Blue Burger, build your own burger and 3 shakes. Everything was amazing including the burger buns (fluffy and airy). I wish they were closer to us, Old Bridge could definitely use a really good burger place.“

“Had dinner there for the second time on Saturday night! It was very memorable. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the eggplant with the Barata for an appetizer. It was so delicious and so tasty and my main course was the homemade linguine with lump crab and corn. We also got the meatball which was spectacular and then I got the cheesecake dessert which was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely love love love this place. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again.“

“My wife and I were shopping in Montclair and stopped for breakfast at the Bluestone Coffee Company. Bluestone is a coffee cafe and coffee roaster serving breakfast and lunch items. The atmosphere is cozy and warm and their coffee robust. We selected breakfast options of a veggie omelette with cheddar cheese and the zucchini parmesan frittata. Both came with a choice of toast and roasted potatoes. Both were fresh and savory and the potatoes roasted perfectly. Staff was friendly and prices were moderate and fair. Bluestone is a very good choice for breakfast and lunch.“

“My wife and I enjoy trying new pizza spots, though lately it’s been pretty lackluster in our search. Tino’s may be my new favorite pizza in the Montclair area. We ordered a Molisana and an American (with a standard amount of red sauce). Both were excellent, but the fact that the standard cheese pie was as solid as it was says a lot about their pizza. Definitely excited for our next order.“

“Little disappointed at this place. Saw they had Crispy Beef with Fresh Honey Walnuts Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.“

“To start with, the service was fantastic. everyone was attentive to our needs but at no time did we feel like we were being pressured. The food was all delicious and the pricing for main dishes and sushi was very reasonable. The menu is very creative and the dishes are presented beautifully. Definitely worth trying and I would eat there again.“

“Terrific and nostalgic fare. Got Turkey club for my meal with their delicious French fries. The sandwich was good enough to conquer my hunger and I only ate half. Took home the leftovers. My husband had the classic burger with French fries and it was huge and cooked to perfection. He said it was juicy and full of flavor with all the toppings. We both liked that the French fries came in a metal cup container because it kept the temperature longer which allowed us to eat them warm. I chose the green tea iced tea and thought it was perfectly not too sweet. Hubby got plain iced tea and it was unsweetened and terrific too. Prices are comparable to the area with tip just under $60.“

“I was in the area with my daughter and we found Green Chop’s. We decided to try it because it looked delicious and healthy. My daughter (6) ordered the chicken noodle soup and she loved it, ate the whole thing! And I got the House Special salad, super delicious packed with veggies, chicken and a very good dressing.
