“Pricy of course, but the New York Strip Steak Au Poivre was tasty alone and with the sauce. They didn’t have every wine listed on the menu actually available and didn’t have any dessert options either. I wanted a Malbec, but instead went for the available Cabernet Sauvignon, Iconoclast (CA) which was jammy, full-bodied, and delicious. Altogether is was a great meal although the service was near nonexistent when I came and there were so many small bugs flying around that I had to cover my drinks with napkins.“

“I honestly can't remember the last time I visited a restaurant and gave it a perfect 10 across the board, but this place truly deserves it. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. I needed the restroom right away, and the bartender, Orlando, kindly escorted me to it, making me feel so welcomed. Once we were seated, the food started arriving, and I was blown away. The chef here is absolutely amazing. Her dishes are not only delicious but also incredibly well-prepared. The unique flavor combinations and creativity are outstanding. It's honestly some of the best food and service I've had in a while. I left feeling like I spent my money very happily. I truly hope this hidden gem and the talented chef behind it get the recognition they deserve for their incredible work."“

“Not our first visit to Lorena's - this location and previous...No reservation, walk-in last Sunday afternoon. Comfortable bar seating; cozy atmosphere. Solid pour drinks with terrific appetizer dining. Salmon tartare and the best French Onion soup....finished off with a great Au Poivre Burger...Many thanks....topped off a beautiful weekend.“

“The atmosphere here is modern and sophisticated without being cold. There's a sleek industrial design—metal fixtures, open ceilings—but softened by warm tones and great acoustics. Even when it's busy, it never feels chaotic. You can tell a lot of thought went into the layout.“

“Just want to give a shoutout to one of my favorite restaurants in Hoboken.
Ate at Barbes last night, and as always, the staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about French/Moroccan food. The food was excellent too, and the atmosphere was wonderful with live music.
5 stars across the board.“

“From start to finish, our experience was absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and every detail from the service to the food was top notch. The new owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, checking in throughout the evening and truly making us feel like valued guests. The chef is nothing short of incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell there’s a deep passion and talent behind the menu especially if you’re a fan of French Mediterranean cuisine, which was executed to perfection. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an elevated yet cozy dining experience. A must visit spot that I’ll definitely be returning to!“

“We ordered so many incredible signature dishes. The lamb moussaka was 5 stars! To really test them we ordered one of the best lahmanchoun’s we’ve tasted in NY! Cozy atmosphere, attentive waitstaff, Momo JC definitely exceeded our expectations!“

“Food was delicious and fairly priced. I had the smoked salmon sandwich. Loved the taste of the blue cheese mixed in with the salmon, red onions, and avocados.“

“Crepes, both sweet and savory are always good. Ambiance is great and the place is very cute with murals of the Eiffel Tower and french music in the background. Every time I go, we are the only people there. If you have a bigger group, wait times will be longer because I think the person who takes your order is also the cook and the waitress. I’ve never seen anyone else working there. She often has an unpleasant attitude that sours my experience, but I go because my mother loves the crepes and the food is good.“

“I love coming to Wasai Bistro whenever I’m visiting the east coast. I’ve followed Chef Nelson since his days at Aozora and Wabi Sabi. His food quality, menu options, and value are unmatched in the area. Once you try his food you will understand why he has so many repeat diners. I highly recommend the Mes Reves Roll, Uni and bone marrow ramen, Miso glazed sea bass entree and salmon lover entree but it’s very hard to go wrong with anything Chef Nelson serves. Parking is street parking only but honestly I’ve always had a very easy time finding a spot. BYOB so you can drink what you love.“

“Great food and atmosphere. Great French menu plus excellent cocktail drinks. Really top notch restaurant. One of my favorite places to eat in Hoboken.
Small area of improvement: It would be better if you did not turn off the lights to sing happy birthday. We went on a night where there were several birthday dinners, and it was a bit annoying for other guests to turn all the lights off.“

“This French-style café and bakery was a great spot to work remotely. I started with a single shot of espresso—it was rich and strong, far better than your typical chain coffee. The space has a charming vibe with plenty of seating, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I tried a pancake served with butter and fresh fruit, as well as a baked quiche with prosciutto and cheese (wish I had snapped a photo!). Beyond pastries and croissants, they also offer sandwiches, soups, and salads for lunch. The café had a steady flow of guests, with many choosing to sit and relax. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and I had no trouble working for a few hours. Overall, I loved the ambiance and food—would definitely return!“

“Nice coffee place, they have breakfast options and desserts as well. If you dine in they have a second floor, which is more spacious, quiet and very cute.
Parking: Most of the time I am able to find street parking just by cafe, but sometimes you have to circle around“
