“I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Maguey a couple of times now and I can now say without a doubt that this place is now in my go-to list for places to eat in the Kearny area. I had the calamari every time I’ve gone and I believe it may be one of the best I’ve had. The calamari is fresh, fried perfectly, and the accompanying sauce is rich and flavorful. You can’t go wrong with any of the food on the menu as it’s all delicious. It might just be my personal taste, but I would prefer if they used maybe a pinch of salt more than they normally do. That is not to say these dishes are not spiced wonderfully, they definitely are. I just like salt. I hope more people stop into this restaurant and support the local business.“

“Always promised myself on my next trip to NYC I would go to The Dead Rabbit. I am so pleased I got to do it. The staff the cocktails the food and the decor & cleanliness were A1. “Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

“Classy place, very friendly staff, starting with the nice hostess. Got a booth in the back. Ordered black label and regular burgers, bone marrow, French onion soup. Had a great server who told us fries were cooked with refined peanut oil since a guest had a peanut allergy. Refilled waters and drinks and checked on us a few times. Oysters are amazing, not a single bad one and no grit either, so shout out to the shuckers. One of my favorite places in the city, can’t wait to go back.“

“The Wren has some of the nicest people I have met in a long time. They accommodated my request for comfortable sitting and made sure I picked the table. I went for brunch and had the French toast, eggs scrambled soft with cheese, and bacon. Their bacon is thick and reminds me of home! I would recommend going for brunch and a refreshing drink. “Omg. BEST place ever for a casual, fun birthday dinner!!!!! I last minute made reservations for 4 friends and I to have my birthday dinner/drinks here and I’m SOOOO happy I did!!!! Genuinely the best time ever!!!! My roommate and I already made plans to come back during the week for their happy hour deal! Everyone who worked here was SO nice and helpful! I asked if it was okay to bring a cake that my friend had baked for me into the restaurant and not only did they say yes but they ALSO provided everything we needed to cut and serve the cake and they put the candles in for me and lit them. We all got the happiest hamburger which was DELISH and the fries are really skinny which is yum and the Hugo spritz was great too!!!! The music is also so good!!! Amazing vibes, amazing food, amazing music!!! Also shoutout to the hostess Olivia who was the SWEETEST!!!!!!! She obviously wished me happy birthday but then later came over with a handwritten card for me as well as adorable matchboxes and pens for me and all of my friends!!! She was incredible!!! All in all I’m SOOOO happy I ended up making last minute reservations here 🤩🫶“

Amazing decor, great ambiance, it was packed and lively on a Saturday night around 10pm in contrast to the quiet streets of downtown brooklyn. We absolutely loved the Raspberry Shrub drink - the white vinegar added a little bit of a sour kick and made the cocktail one of the most memorable we’ve had. Super unique menu and fun food items. Great service and vibes. We’ll be back!“
