“Went after Christmas for dinner. Fresh and delicious sushi and appetizers. If you like green tea must have the green tea ice cream for dessert. Cocktails were well crafted and servers, host offered impeccable and attentive service. Highly recommended.“

“I've been to a few ichiran locations and have always been satisfied. Is it the best ramen in the city? Maybe not, but it's a really solid and well balanced bowl that you get to eat in a relatively unique solo booth experience. I love the little booths, it's very relaxing for me to eat in my own little cubby. I will say though, the lines can get long.

As for the actual ramen, last time I went with the classic tonkotsu with all the recommended settings. It didn’t come with an egg by default, which id probably add next time, but otherwise I was happy with it. The broth is the real star of the show - it really exemplifies a classic tonkotsu with the perfect amount of unctuous, creamy mouthfeel and savory, rich flavors. They also give a lot more chashu than I would expect, which is nice. The chashu was super tender, although mildly flavored. The recommended firmness for the noodles was medium, but next time I would definitely go for firm because they were too soft for my liking.

All in all an awesome bowl or ramen with a unique eating experience. Worth checking out for sure!“

“Place is small, and also they have shareable tables just fyi, that threw us off, staff is super friendly and kind. We order some ramens and gyoza which was super flavorful, all their ramens were good, I forgot to take a picture of my husbands but his was spicy and had pork like chicharron (crispy pork) on top, which was to die for, my son didn’t like his beef miso ramen because the meat was minced and also had a sweet flavor so I switched it with mine and then he was happy, my miso pork ramen was delicious, savory and had a little quick since they decorate with what looked like chili oil, delicious but a little spicy. I was super happy with this place, glad we found it and would definitely try it again. Yum“

“Chris was our waiter today. We came in with my wife’s 100 year old grandfather and 99 year old Grandmother on her birthday. They are from Shanghai. Chris immediately knew to bring kids waters, 2 hot waters for the grandparents and 2 regular waters for myself and my wife. Service was fast and accurate. The food soup base was perfect and the food was very fresh with great portions. The ice cream for grandma’s 99th birthday was a great touch. We look forward to coming back again.“

“Jeff made us feel at home! I originally came in from Brooklyn, NY to come visit a friend out in Jersey! My first time here felt like I’ve been here before. Jeff recommended some special sauces to us for the wings and it stands out compared to other places. We allowed us to taste test a hot sauce, which wasn’t just hot, but flavorful as well! He held wonderful conversations with us and was able to relate to us in a lot of ways. His engagement made us want to come back! I’ll be here once again if I find myself around town again. “Forgot to take photos of the food but everything was so good. Steamed Pork Dumplings were massive, soft, and delish. Chicken Soup Dumplings had a really rich broth. Beef Lo Mein was flavorful and cooked well. Sesame Chicken was super crispy and the sauce was incredible but not spicy as it shouldve been. Chicken Fried Rice was standard but good.

The free jasmine tea was a nice touch and great throughout the meal!“

The ambience outside is like a garden allowing indoor and outdoor seating. As soon as we walked in I couldn’t stop looking around because it smells REALLY nice, they have light essential oils that make you feel cozy and relaxed.
The seats look and are very comfortable. Flowers on the table and cute soy sauce containers. They also have air-con so summer heat won’t be an issue while dining here.
You’re greeted upon entering, and the waiters are very attentive and friendly.
The food came out quickly, was fresh, and tasty.

“Came here on NYE for a delicious dinner with my wife. The waiter recommended the picanha. It was delicious. We had some apps and a salad too. It was all terrific. We brought our own wine. They even gave us a dessert on the house. My wife is Dominican, so she was speak Spanish with the staff and other customers. Very inviting and friendly place. Will definitely return. “The ONLY place in Hell’s Kitchen for excellent sushi. Seriously the quality here is INSANE, especially when considering what I believe to be rock bottom prices. It’s a staple date spot for my girlfriend and I, I’m a little ashamed I haven’t left a review earlier because we love everything about this place. It’s charming, delicious and doesn’t break the bank, perfect for the occasional treat. I usually only order sushi so I cannot speak to the other entrees, but every single roll (and I’ve had almost all of the specialty rolls) has been either above average or exemplary. My favorite is the Manhattan roll! I also get ponzu sauce most times.“

“I absolutely love this place. The Pho here is seriously the best pho I’ve ever had. It’s extremely flavorful, the noodles always come out perfectly soft and the meat perfectly cooked. They have sauces at the table available like Sriracha , Hoisin Sauce and a Homemade Chili sauce. Their spring rolls are very refreshing and pairs deliciously with their peanut sauce. Their fried spring rolls are also super amazing, always come out hot and delicious which also pair nicely with the fish sauce they serve it with. Their Jasmine Boba Tea is to dieeee for, as well as their Avocado Shakes. I also recommend the bowl that comes with BBQ Pork, salad and Vermicelli noodles. The service is always quick and their servers are super kind. I believe the older couple who is always there are the owners and they are absolute sweethearts. “Absolutely amazing. They're a family owned restaurant so I understand its hard with these times and coronavirus. Its hard to find good Indian food and I must say, I've been coming here for more than 20 years and I still will be coming more and more! Out of all the restaurants in parsippany & Rt 46, I specially come down to Wayne to eat this amazing food. my fav is the sag panir, malai kofta, and vegetable biryani. I love the one waitress and how she explained the spice levels according to chiptole and taco bell! the uncle who is the owner always greets everyone like hes known them for years. Like we are family, its heart warming since i dont live with my family. Amazing food, amazing people and amazing prices!“

“We are seriously SO impressed with Essex Chinese Kitchen. The food is amazing — everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and high quality. And on top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the portions you get.

We ordered the bubble teas (brown sugar milk tea and original milk tea), and they were SO good — perfectly balanced with that floral black tea flavor coming through. Not overly sweet, just smooth and refreshing.

I got the golden fried brown shrimp with fried rice and it was FIRE. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and broccoli, and they absolutely do NOT skimp on portions. The serving sizes were generous and so satisfying.

The staff were also super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

We called on the phone, placed our order, then made our way over. We paid in cash and got the food. I ordered the boneless spare ribs combination platter, which comes with a roast pork egg roll and roast pork fried rice. We also got a small wonton soup. The boneless spare ribs were really good, striking a good balance between the sweet and savory that boneless spare ribs typically have. The roast pork egg roll was delicious and savory. Everything else, though, was not as good. The roast pork fried rice was pretty bland, as were the wontons and the broth that the wontons came with. For the price, though, it was reasonable, so I am not too upset.“
