“This is our usual fried chicken spot and it stays consistent every single time. We normally do takeout, but today we dined in and the experience was actually really pleasant — calm, clean, and easy.

The food was amazing. The chicken was perfectly crunchy (the kind that actually stays crunchy), and the flavors were on point. The sweet and spicy sauce was delish — just the right balance — and the soy garlic was packed with flavor without being overpowering. “I frequently order from The BBQ location in Palisades Park after my morning gym session. There are many choices for good Korean style fried chicken but i find BBQ’s to have the perfect blend of crispy/flaky on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. My personal favorite chicken place-ordering online 20 min before my gym session ends ensures a ready to go pick up with no wait time. Easy and convenient.“

“Amazing elevated chicken. It's not just chicken, however. Oysters were superb. Salads (the scallion salad is an absolute delight) and all the sides are just superior. Little touches that seem whimsical but are just spot on - try the 24 carat nugget with caviar. Excellent star-studded champagne list; why not? Staff were just exceptional. Special shout out to the sommelier who came by and spent time even though we didn't buy a killer bottle of bubbly. We will return.“

“The spicy chicken biscuit omg toooooo die for so my husband and I saw many people entering this spot plus it was our first time. We heard mac and cheese, greens, and fried chicken. So we got a bucket of mixed chicken, two sides of Mac and cheese, and some collard greens (they make them with black eyed peas and tomatoes; totally different from any kind of greens I ever had and I definitely was left craving more. “I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. If I were in NJ longer, I would surely order again! The food is absolutely delicious 😋“

“Okay so I do think this is a chicken and burger joint now combined together on the outside of the building. I really didn't notice the time for the chicken place. It was any small corner lit up attached to a burger place. With that said I am not mad at it as I ordered the bulgogi burger which was so good. Very soft and flavorful and I also ordered a order of 10-piece wings. I split it between soy, garlic and sweet and spicy. Now for me I am a Korean chicken lover and I just did it fully get the full experience of Korean Chicken meaning that in every bite it is very crunchy and it is packed with the sauce flavor on top for me. I did not get that full effect and that's really why. I love Korean f and wings that are usually double fried so they get a very nice crunch and the sauce is usually nicely styled on now. There was something wrong with the sauce but I would have liked to have a little bit more of it as well as more of a crunch. I would definitely come back here. I did notice that the burger place and the chicken plays. I have menus but a little bit different. I did order from Uber eats so I didn't really notice that at the time until I really checked out your iron. They do have the tablet where you can order from as soon as you get there. That has Uber just did for both places. However I was very happy with the wings. I got 10 pieces which I think you can order. I only ordered through the bloomberger site and they were nice sizes.“

Initially, I was thinking about going to a certain Filipino fried chicken chain, but after checking the ratings, Pollo Camino came out on top. They’ve recently opened a new branch near Penn Station, but I ended up visiting their 8th Ave location instead — a small, single-storefront shop with a simple interior.

I ordered the fried chicken set for $9.99, which came with two pieces of chicken, a piece of bread, one side, and a drink for an extra $1.
• Drink: I went with their Horchata, made with peanuts and vanilla ,milk, without the cinnamon and rice I’m used to. It had a nice aroma, refreshing, and a bit different — in a good way.
• Side: I chose yuca fries, served in large sticks. The inside was dense than potato, with a lightly crisp exterior. Personally, I wasn’t a fan — I’d say skip this and go for another side.
• Fried Chicken: Lightly battered with a noticeable blend of spices and herbs. The meat was tender, while the skin wasn’t the super-crispy kind you’d get from those well-known Louisiana or Kentucky-style chains. Flavor was solid, but here’s an important tip — just like with many fried chicken places, don’t let it sit too long. Once it cools, the saltiness becomes much more pronounced.

Service gets a full 5 stars in the fast-food category — no self-service pick-up here, they bring your food right to the table.

Overall, Pollo Camino is worth trying if you’re around Penn Station. The price is fair, the chicken is flavorful, but choose your side wisely and eat it while it’s hot. Next time I’ll try a competitor for comparison, but for now, my top spot still belongs to Louisiana chain.“

“Solid fried chicken sandwich in a classic dive bar. I haven’t actually been in many dive bars, but when you walk into this place, it’s almost pitch black and you can’t see anything. The atmosphere is a little bit grungy, and you have to read some signs to figure out that you need to order out the counter. When we went on a Saturday for lunch, there was no one behind the counter and it turns out the worker was someone who I actually thought was dining at the restaurants since they were eating their hashbrowns next to everyone else. The chicken sandwich is enormous and takes up much more than the surface area of a single bun, but I liked it a lot, especially when you add the different sauces and mayo they provide. Would come back and try some other stuff too. Very cute back patio.“

“I love coming to this food hall and Bob White greets you as the first choice of food. Although they are mostly fast food and fried, I see why they are still in business. The hand cut fries 🍟 are my go to item, and their tenders are well paired to taste. Not overly seasoned however packing flavor, mistress, because its bribed, and this is real chicken, not processed. So the tenders are also on the menu made into a sandwich or a wrap. I haven't explored that yet, but may try when I am not counting calories. The kale salad with added almonds and quinoa as a side is befitting as a healthier dish with my fries and tenders. I will be returning again because they have so many other sauces to try. They were fast with service although 1 person ordered ahead of me, and 2 were called before I received mine, I was pleased. Oh and even more pleased to know as an MTA worker I received a discount and by taking the receipt I noticed I can get a free Sweet Tea just for making this review. I will update and let everyone know how that goes and after I get a fork for my salad. Later for now!
