50 Best Seafood Restaurants near Pennsauken

“Cannot recommend this place enough!!! Absolutely outstanding food & quality. I’m a huge fan of Po Boy sandwiches and had been struggling to find any in the area, found Crab De Jour Pennsauken on Door Dash & saw they had them.

Decided to give them a shot, got the cat fish one & the flounder one, I had always wanted to try catfish so I figured this was a good time to do it.

Both sandwiches were perfect, like actually perfect. The catfish one was easily my favorite of the two & now am a big fan of catfish. Flounder was solid , will be trying the shrimp one & oyster one next!

Their Cocktail sauce was delicious and had a great texture, the fries ( I got both Cajun & sweet potato ) were borderline addicting , perfectly cooked & seasoning was top tier.

Overall I have nothing but great things to say about this place, I’ve ordered 3 days in a row this week. Service & Food was outstanding , I’ve only had them via delivery but I can tell you this location and staff are amazing & they earned a lifelong customer with me.

5 stars across the board , if you’re on the fence of trying them or looking for great food at a very good value I hope this review convinces you to give them a shot.

“I’m just glad that I took a chance and took my family to eat here. The food is beyond AMAZING!!!! I ordered the grilled lamb chops and Rasta pasta with shrimp add on. And they did not disappoint. My daughter and granddaughter order hot honey wings.and we all were happy with our entrees. We got desert banana cheesecake and 1 strawberry cheesecake we were so happy with everything here“

“I got a chicken cheese steak Stromboli (at my brother's recommendation) with fried onions & green peppers. It was so good! The only thing I would probably change is add some cheese where the dough is to close it up. That part is a little too doughy for me, but other than that, it's worth stopping & grabbing one. “I had snapper soup there. It was an 11 out of a possible 10. My wife had New England clam chowder it is (her score system) a 10 out of 10. Best ever. Unfortunately, they do not currently have snapper soup. Missing the old Bookbinder too. Signed, Old Philadelphia natives.“

“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!“

“Holy moly, this is a true hidden gem. The food was outstanding. A great menu and even better execution. I didn’t take pictures of everything but they wouldn’t do the food justice anyway. The pork chop was one of the best I’ve ever had. If you like pork chops like me you know that a juicy, tender, flavorful pork chop is the holy grail and this chef pulled it off. Everything we had was excellent. I’ll admit, I don’t like pumpkin but I tried my wife’s pumpkin risotto and I may be a convert. It’s amazing what a perfectly cooked pumpkin risotto can do. I can’t wait to come back to Philly and eat here again.

Drinks were also great and the bartender was a seasoned pro. Service all around was easy going and servers were just really nice people.
