“Great spot for a quick lunch, food on display is absolutely fresh and seasoned well. All for a reasonable price, each day is different meal variety, but customer service and speed is the same each time I come here. I definitely recommend coming here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.“

“Only 4 tables and 12 seats but maaaan this food is the bomb. I grew up eating stews and rice for lunch in far away lands and this hits the spot. I think I inhaled my giant plate in 2 min. We'll seasoned, everything tasted good (carne, rice, red beans, maduros). Will come back when Im in the area again. Thank you to polite staff too for supporting my Spanish :)“

“I got married on 5/25/25 and the very next day we were having a BBQ. With no time to cook I decided to cater. I ordered from Caribbean Station and it was amazing. It was fresh and so delicious, everyone talked about the food. Since then I have catered my Labor Day BBQ and next will be my daughter’s baby shower. They are the best!“

“The best chimi I’ve had. The meat is exceptionally seasoned, you can taste the oregano and tartness from the lime or vinegar, and it’s perfect on salt. Whoever thought on putting it on a brioche bun, it’s a genius.
Don’t sleep on the picadera too! The pork carne salada is so good and they put wasakaka sauce all over the meat. The tostones are not drowned in oil and are so crispy.
The only shame is that I live 45 minutes away and can’t eat here more often. But whenever I’m in Perth Amboy, I grab a chimi from here.“

“I had a wonderful experience here! I ordered the white rice with baked chicken and beans — everything was cooked perfectly with great flavor. The environment is warm and welcoming, making it a must-visit spot. What made it even more special was the uplifting atmosphere filled with Christian music at its finest. A place where you can enjoy both delicious food and a peaceful, joyful setting. Highly recommended!“

“My first time there I got a pork sandwich to go and when I got home and took one bit and had to call them to tell them how good the sandwich is, and large sandwich as well, they just opened up and I prayed to God that they do well with their business, John“

“Food is affordable, large portions and very delicious
Unfortunately the people in the area aka the ones who’s lives matter should be the only concern.
The fatigue is real with these people all over America but an angel must be watching over this restaurant“

“Amazing authentic Dominican food! The flavors are rich and remind me of home-cooked meals. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. Service was friendly, though it can get a bit busy during peak hours. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back for the mangu and pernil!“

“I love coming here! It's super eccentric and there are several unique paintings of the city (made by local artists and are for sale)! The food comes quick, and even when it's super busy there is never a long wait for a table. I have had a few different breakfast and lunch items here, and they never disappoint.“

“First time here and the service was outstanding! The young lady was patient and so pleasant. The food looked beautiful and the presentation was excellent! My food was delicious I don’t eat meat so I had two types of rice, vegetables and both beans they had. My daughter had their quarter chicken with rice and beans. The prices are dirt cheap which is surprising considering the economy. I’ll return for sure!!!“
“Stopped here out of curiosity and we were not disappointed. The cheapest and yummiest Dominican food Ive had in NJ so far!
We got 2 lunches of white rice and stew chicken, 2 orders of beans and an order of sweet plantains. Total: $22! They serve SOOOO much food, we had left overs. My plate in the photo is after me eating quite a bit already. We then went back and got 2 tres leches, each were $3.50. Very yummy, I highly recommend this restaurant. In regards to customer service they were so sweet, professional and attentive. I wish this business lots of good fortune and will spread the word. They are amazing.“
“When I tell you that not only is the food delicious they also have a heart of Gold!!! I hired them to cator my daughters baby shower. Unfortunately 2 days before our event my daughter had to undergo an emergency csection. They didn’t hesitate to refund me the money we paid even though they were clearly at a loss. The compassion and the understanding they delivered to my family and I is priceless!! Tu Pais restaurant… you guys rock!!! Thank you for your service!! Is business like yours who makes this world a better place!!!“

“I recently visited Sabor De Mi Pais Restaurant, and I had a great experience. As soon as you walk in, you are warmly welcomed. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.
They offer a wide variety of food options to choose from. I ordered white rice with pollo al horno and beans, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My coworker also loved their meal and said the food was amazing.
I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for authentic, homemade food and excellent service!“
“If you’re looking for clean, fresh food that won’t drain your wallet, this spot is a great choice. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are always welcoming. It can get pretty busy since it’s popular, but the wait is definitely worth it. Only thing missing would be fresh juices, adding those would take it to the next level.“

“Great place to stop and have a heavy, healthy meal while waiting for your EV to charge.
Great portions and a huge selection of provisions and meats, hot and cold sides! Great service and recommended by the folks at the store near the laundromaut.“
“I gotta say, this is some of, if not the best dominican style fried food, I’ve tasted in nj/ny area. Everything was flavorful, you can tell it’s top quality products and, that frying oil gets changed often, I can tell just by the smell. Thanks to the chef and everyone involved in the process. Definitely worth a visit go and check it out.“
“Their food are incredible, more affordable than other restaurants and I strongly recommend that restaurant.“
“When I'm the mood for latino food (Spanish/Dominican/Puerto Rican) I have to hit this fabulous 👌 local spot for comfort food,I had my blood sausage (morcillas)and a pastelle de cerdo (pork filled tamale style but made from plantain/green banana boiled in plantain leaf and wax paper), highly recommend these at this spot, extremely delicious. Plus they many other daily specials on the steam table, and dishes alacarte plus many choices of fried empanadas, alcapurias, cheese dogs ,what they call (frituras).
I also ordered a dozen frozen pastelles to take home ,were a slight expensive but willing to pay to have them for when in the mood ,cost $48 for a dozen.
The place has been remodeled about 2 years ago ,quite cute and very clean, food is very good, always hits the spot.“

“Best Spanish food on Staten Island. The Mofongo kills!!!
Parking: I went on sunday.. the bar next door had football so parking was rough. Any other time it's much easier to park... but worth it no matter where you park... Lowes across the street has a huge parking lot!“

“We were on our way out of Perth Amboy after a church service. It was late and we were driving around looking for something good to eat before heading back to south Jersey! Everything was closed! Finally we drive by this place that looked open! I’m so glad we stopped by! From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed by the young woman up front who walked us through the menu since our spanish is “no good looking” . She took her time , we didn’t feel rushed and she even gave us her personal recommendations! I chose the mofongo with chicharron and my cousin got the plantain sandwich with chicken! *chefs kiss * 10/10 . The staff were alll so kind to us . The gentleman , (not sure if he was the owner) , he talked with us for a few minutes and we really felt comfortable and welcomed! I’ve already shared this place with my family and friends! Can’t wait to return !“

“Al punto is a welcome new addition to the neighborhood, serving whopping portions of delicious latin and dominican food.
I ordered the pernil, which comes with rice and beans, a chicken empanada, papa rellena (stuffed potato ball), and a fresh passion fruit juice.
I couldn't even finish the pernil with rice and beans because there was so much food lol but the flavors were on point, and the pork shoulder was cooked well. Loved the passion fruit juice, too.
Happy to add Al punto to the local rotation. Love seeing Bloomfield's diversity in cuisine grow. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks for the food!“

“I went here (I think they are under new management because they changed the name to D'Mayal) because I was going to a pot luck and didn't have time to cook my own dish. I ordered a tray of arroz con gandules, and I wanted to order a full pernil, but there wasn't time to make one and the only pernil that was made was what they were serving. So rather than turning me away, the owner said that what he could do was cut up a full pernil into chunks, and make me a full pernil in carne frita style. I was impressed by the way they were able to solve the problem and roll with the punches! The food came out great, and tasted home made! Everyone at the pot lunch loved it! I highly recommend you go here and order some take out!“
