“We arrived to Kimura 10min before opening on a weekend and there were 3 parties in front of us in line. They opened on time and there were no issues getting seated, with no reservation, but we were seated in the backyard heated room. Our waiter and the staff there were polite and friendly. Everything we ordered was flavorful and delicious. Only complaint was I wish portion size was bigger. Haha. Beef tongue slices (5pcs) $14 - marinated grilled tender slices Yuzu Miso Salmon $15 - Includes fresh salmon sashimi topped with yuzu miso and sesame ponzu sauce, green onion and onion slices Hakata Motsu Nabe $27/person - Includes beef intestines, cabbage, leek, tofu, burdock, and sesame, chili sauce on the side. I would like to come back to try the of other nabe options.“

“Solid hot pot place! I came on a cold Friday night with a friend for dinner. We did make a reservation ahead of time just in case, but the restaurant is larger than it appears from the outside. You use the tablet at the table to place your order. It defaulted to Chinese, so you have to switch it to English if you can't read it. We were not totally sure what everything was on the menu based on just the names. Food/Drinks: This is a communal hot pot place, so there is one large pot in the center of the table for your party instead of individual hot pots per person. This is a la carte instead of an all your can eat hot pot restaurant. You start by selecting the type of broth that you want. I recommend doing the half and half option, so you can try more than one. I typically get one spicy and one non-spicy. Be warned - the spicy one is SPICY! We got the lowest level which is "Normal," and the heat builds the more you eat it. I'm pretty good with spicy food, but I do not think I could do more than the "Normal" level. We also tried the pork bone broth, which was a good complement as our non-spicy option. You will select your preferred ingredients like meats, seafood, and veggies in order to cook them in the broth. We decided to go with beef, tofu, and veggies. The meat comes on a plate that they put on its side, which was an interesting presentation. Don't forget to make your own sauce at the sauce station to dip your cooked items in. We also got the kumquat lemonade, which was quite refreshing! It ended up being about $50/person for everything that we ordered. Service/Ambiance: We were confused at first because the restaurant sign is higher up, so we were not sure it was the right place. When you first walk in, there is a bubble tea stand to your left and a waiting area, so it was a big confusing. The sauce station is in the middle of the restaurant. Service is pretty standard for an Asian restaurant meaning it's not great. You will need to flag people down if you need them as they don't typically come over and check how you are doing like at standard American restaurants. This doesn't typically bother me since a lot of Asian places are like that. Overall: I would go back again for more hot pot!“

“You get your choice of meat , seafood, mushrooms, vegi, noodles and more. The ingredients are beautifully presented on a platter. It’s whimsical inside with the decor which I loveee great for instagram picturesThe service is amazing, and the food is so fresh. The broths are great, but even mild spice is too much for me.This establishment proves itself as a haven for those seeking a harmonious marriage of taste and ambiance.“

“Excellent stop for traditional hot pot or sushi! For $40 we had unlimited sushi and hot pot selections. The servers were very helpful, and the quality of everything was excellent. I’ve had hot pot style meals in Japan and this was just as good!“

“From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for a wonderful dining experience.About the food – the lamb and A5 wagyu were nothing short of phenomenal. Bursting with flavor, each bite was a testament to the restaurant's dedication to sourcing the highest quality ingredients from around the world. And the cocktails? They were the perfect accompaniment to the meal, expertly crafted and incredibly refreshing. But what truly made my visit memorable was the impeccable service, courtesy of Sam, one of the supervisors. Her friendly and attentive demeanor elevated the dining experience to another level, making me feel like a valued guest from start to finish.I can't wait to return and indulge in their mouthwatering dishes and delightful cocktails once again!“

“Personally think it’s the best hotpot location in midtown area! Also everything is clean and neat, including the bathroom. Drew was responsible for our table and he’s the best! Very attentive and responsive, helped us to do BBQ as well. Service was impeccable. Will come back!“

“First of all, the ingredients were so fresh and the food was all delicious!!! They kept refilling the broth, so I ate delicious food without any inconvenience ? The mango sorbet they gave me at the end was the best dessert ever ? The staff and owner were so friendly that I couldn't help but leave a review ? I think I'll stop by every time I go to New Jersey!“

“Shabu Shabu Mayumon is probably in my top 3 Shabu Shabu in the US, including another Shabu Shabu restaurant in Beverly Hills.Shabu Shabu Mayumon is amazing from the start to the end. This is a very tiny restaurant in lower Manhattan with only 6 or 8 seats at the counter bar.One person is serving you and one person is taking care of preparing the Shabu Shabu. This is a new concept in between Shabu Shabu and Omakase in a sense where the chef is cooking the meat for you in the Shabu Shabu and then serve it one by one in your plate. This is a dégustation of amazing fresh products including different types of A5. Overall it's worth any minute in this traditional restaurant. There is no surprise they received a Michelin Star.We will come back any time we can! Delicious and great moment.“

“This hot pot restaurant offers a fantastic family-style dining experience. Despite being busy at times, the wait to be seated is usually short. The food is consistently delicious and fresh, making it a top choice for hot pot enthusiasts You make a choice of the broth you want and then the meat with a HUGE selection of fresh veggies noodles and so much more. There's also a section to create your own sauces, which is abundant in selection. Then you end it with some yogurt or ice cream. Free parking I believe it's BYOB.“

“Great place for hotpot. Contemporary interior with iPad ordering and food flavors were super authentic. We got the 2 flavor broth - chicken chestnut & normal spicy level. And let me tell ya… the normal spicy level was SPICY. This is coming from a group of Chinese people. We went for my birthday and they had a crew come out with fun signs, birthday music, and dessert with a candle!“

“Very delicious hot pot!! To us the highlight would be the soup base, we got the tomato base, and the duck soup with pickled radish base, both are very flavorful and yummy. And all of the food ingredients are good, and good portion size too. And the staff are all very friendly as well, didn’t really have to wait for very long for services. Will recommend this place!“

“The food was of the best quality I have had in Midtown! Fresh fish and delicious rice bowls. The service was extremely forthcoming. The place was quiet even though it was a good lunch crowd. A minor issue for me is that the kitchen is open (like many other places), so some fabrics take on the smell.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, Vegan, gluten freeWheelchair accessibility: Street level, no stairs“

“The bbq stick hotpot idea is good. It is less messy and the idea is nice. It comes in a a box split into the different items you ordered. The broth and everything was tasty. Drinks included and sauces unlimited with this all you can eat deal. Ice cream was for dessert, loved it“
“We ate dinner tonight and it was great! Fresh produce, meat was flavorful, we didn't have much of the hot food, but we enjoyed ending with fruit and black sesame soft ice cream. We got a seat for 5 at 6pm with no wait. One note abt the price - the whole table has to order the same type of buffet. My husband and Father-in-law wanted the buffet with meat but they ended up doing buffet only and ordered meat on the side since that's what the rest of us wanted. It worked out and everyone left satisfied and full! Service was fast and attentive.“

“Food was great but one of the cashier was being so stingey with the peanut sauce on the side. I ordered dry mala to go which doesnt come with the peanut sauce and asked if i can get it on the side and even pay for it. The guy literally told me three times it doesnt come with it and that they dont usually give it out with dry mala.Mind you its literally a tiny amount of sauce in a little container…. is that a too much ask for ?? ?“

“It was a really nice experience with all of my friends last night. We went out as a group of six and made a reservation ahead of time. I like that the menu was on the phone and so that we could continuously see the menu so that we could keep ordering food when we wanted to. I love the all you can eat, and some of the little special items on the menu or a great addition as well. It was really busy but the ambience was nice. I’ve been to the one in Brooklyn and now I’ve been to the one in Chinatown Manhattan and both experiences were really great and I enjoyed both times out.“

“I had been craving raw marinated crabs for who even knows how long. So I jumped at the opportunity to go when a friend told me about this place. They do require about an hour and a half notice if you want certain things on the menu, so I would just call in beforehand so that you can order and you don't have to wait there. The raw marinated crab is so good! Both the soy and spicy marinades are delicious, even by themselves on rice. The crabs are so meaty and juicy and creamy. You don't even have to eat it with rice, it's so good on its own. The seafood pancake was a really good side dish to add on. Nothing too special on its own but just nice to have and you can dip it in the soy marinade. The abalone porridge was good, but if you're getting the crabs, I don't think it's really necessary to have. Because you already get rice and seafood. But it's still a good homey porridge.“

“It was lit all you can eat. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Didn’t like how they couldn’t actually fit a party of 10. Shouldn’t have taken us and I understand that’s on the party to still sit here but it lessened my experience. The food was really good quality. Can’t complain. They have about a 2 hr limit .“

“The food was very delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Kudos to the one who's playing the songs too. The vibes are nice. We especially loved the cripsy pork. We got skewers too and they were so good. Though the szechuan spicy pot and the extra spicy pot don't really taste that much different. But nevertheless, it was a great experience.“

“So confused why this place has less than 4 stars. The food is delicious and the people are so kind. I’ve always had a great experience ordering from here. I highly recommend the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. This restaurant is my favorite of the cafeteria mall options.“

“This is our go to hot pot spot. We have dined here over 20 times in different group sizes. A simple set up to pick your selection of ingredients and pass to the staff to customize your hotpot. The staff are always kind and eager to help. The food has never failed us. Must go if you’re seeking comfort dry/soup hotpot.“

“My favorite item from this restaurant is their Sichuan fish slices that come in spicy soup with lettuce and bean sprouts on the bottom. It warms your belly and pairs perfectly with white rice. The inside has a lot of space and was relatively spacious at night. We also ordered a side of the chilled chicken slices and it was amazing. It was my first time trying something like this and the peanut butter sauce and sesame seeds worked so well.“

“honestly reluctant to review this because i don’t want it to lose its perfectly tacky luster of a futuristic spot designed in the nineties. you can design your own hot pot or order of the preset menu which seems like the inferior move because it was my first time but i was not disappointed with the mouth numbing delicious flavors from what i ordered. ample decisions to be made for a vegetarian and overall really good service and vibes all around. can’t wait to come back“

“My partner and I had lunch at this place today. The restaurant bit itself was a tad scruffy, but we didn't mind it. The food took a while to come out, but as it was made fresh we didn't mind waiting. The food was delicious and fresh. Its the first time my partner and i have had to get a box to bring our leftovers home ever, it was that good. Thanks to the chef who was working solo today. :)“
