“Went there during the Restaurant Week. The menu was much better compared to some other restaurants we went to. The hostess was cheerful and pleasant One tall male server was not good at all- first, he tried to take my plate despite there was still food left and the utensils were placed to show that I was still working on it. Doesn’t he even know what that mean? He apologized, and later came to ask if we needed more bread. We said no, but I still had a big chunk of bread on my plate. We only said we didn't need another piece of bread. But he took away everything including the butter. He needs to be trained and know what he can do and can’t while customers are still eating. Taking plates away no matter what is not his only job! He was rude.“

“Food has definitely gotten better. We had the Calabrian clams, duck leg, white bolognese, grilled prawns and blood orange cheesecake. Everything was wonderful and fresh, could be better with some minor tweaks. The clams should be served with some bread to soak up that delicious sauce. The prawns would have been much better if it was left whole with shell and head on, it was slightly over cooked. All in all, a fantastic meal!!“

“This is what we call “fine dining.” We did not reserve the main dining room, as one of our party did not care for prix fixe. We opted for the lounge as you can have from the menu or prix fixe. When you first arrive, you are greeted by a pleasant hat/coat check lady. We arrived early and said we would wait for the other couple and were invited to wait in the intimate cocktail area. The cocktails were superb and served with a house-made cocktail snack. When the guests of the party arrived, we were escorted to the lounge area. An intimate area with about six to eight tables. After being seated and greeted by the head server (maître d' or captain), who explained our options, we all opted for the menu. After looking at all the choices, we decided to split two appetizers. Even though the number of items on each choice was uneven, the server said, “Let me take care of it". And then beautifully presented plates arrived with equal portions. And it only got better from there. The entrées were each explained in detail, including their origins and how they were prepared. I could go on and on. The fish, beef, duck breast, and pork were everything we expected and more. We all commented, maybe the best we have had. The house made desserts were perfect. I had possibly the best cheese plate I have ever had. The entire staff of servers were professionals and enhanced the evening. The most disappointing part of the evening was when a guest entering the dining room (after removing his overcoat) came in dressed in Dockers and a short-sleeve polo. This is an insult to the owner, the chef, and the entire staff at this fine restaurant. But maybe he was an elite or a “special” person. We all said we would be back.“

“Marlow East is a refined New American restaurant that immediately caught our attention while my husband and I were strolling through Manhattan. What drew us in wasn’t a recommendation or a reservation — it was the view through the windows. Inside, we saw a calm dining room with soft lighting, a tasteful interior, and an atmosphere that felt both intimate and inviting.
Once inside, the restaurant turned out to be exactly what we had hoped for. The ambiance was cozy and romantic — the kind of place where you can truly slow down, enjoy the moment, and have an unhurried conversation. It felt like the perfect setting for a relaxed evening together.
The food was just as impressive as the atmosphere. For appetizers, we ordered the farmers salad and the tuna tartare. Both dishes highlighted the freshness of the ingredients — crisp vegetables and beautifully fresh tuna that tasted clean and delicate.
For our main courses, my husband chose the strip loin, while I ordered the sea bass. The steak was well prepared and flavorful, but the sea bass was truly phenomenal — perfectly cooked, tender, and served in an incredibly rich and delicious creamy sauce that elevated the dish even further.
We paired our dinner with wine, which complemented the meal wonderfully and added to the overall experience. I should also mention the service, which was attentive, professional, and seamless throughout the evening.
Overall, we left Marlow East feeling very happy with our evening. The restaurant delivers a wonderful balance of atmosphere, quality food, and thoughtful service.
The only downside is the price. Even by Manhattan standards, it felt a bit expensive. For two appetizers, two main courses, and two glasses of wine, the bill came to $258 — and that was before tip.
Still, it was a lovely dining experience and a memorable evening.“

“Always a steady goto in our restaurant rotation. Seasons 52 in Paramus never disappoints. Their Pork Chop is one of my favorite entrees along with the Filet Mignon and Lobster, you can't go wrong with the flatbreads, tuna tartare, golden beet salad, and Maui Tuna Crunch Salad. Something for everybody. Cartier and the rest of the crew that works the bar are great, and always welcome us back when visit.“

“Had dinner there for the second time on Saturday night! It was very memorable. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the eggplant with the Barata for an appetizer. It was so delicious and so tasty and my main course was the homemade linguine with lump crab and corn. We also got the meatball which was spectacular and then I got the cheesecake dessert which was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely love love love this place. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again.“

“I walked into this small cafe without even thinking they had such a great variety of food… I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!! The pizza is fantastic, thin airy crispy crust … so delicious!!!

I ordered the drunken parm sandwich and it was made fresh, the breaded chicken was made right then not cold and frozen like other places.. they put the perfect amount of cheese and sauce .. it was crispy and not messy. The hero bread was delicious too! I cannot rave enough about this place!

“Wanting to take my daughter for a special treat whilst in New York for a few days we booked afternoon tea in the Pembroke Room at the Lowell Hotel after knocking back the Plaza after reading a few dodgy reviews. So pleased we did as we spent over 2 hours enjoying every moment. The service was excellent as was the food, especially the warm scones. It’s a shame the cream was “Devonshire” rather than the traditional Clotted Cornish but other than that it was perfection. Lovely small intimate setting too where we felt our custom was welcome rather than feeling just a number as we were one of just 3 tables there. Would we return? Absolutely!“
