Our doubts were quickly dispelled though by the warm greeting of the host and our attentive waitress, who enthusiastically answered questions, and even brought tasty samples to the table. With timely coffee refills & the relaxed atmosphere this became one of the coziest, best service experiences in recent memory. Will definitely return.“

“A very good restaurant. I definitely recommend the hamburger with the aged meat and not the Minetta hamburger.I still wanted to say 2 things -You can take down 2 tables in the restaurant and let people sit more comfortably.When we ordered the Soufflé (which is an expensive dish in itself) the waitress asked if we would like ice cream on the side and in what flavor. I tried to figure out if it was ice cream that came inside the plate, next to it, etc., because usually warm chocolate cakes come with ice cream next to it. But the waitress just asked again about the requested flavor. The soufflé (was great!) and accompanied with a bowl with a scoop of ice cream on the side and vanilla sauce. We didn't really touch the ice cream (the soufflé with the vanilla sauce was enough). When we got the bill we saw that the poor ice cream scoop cost $5 which of course they didn't bother to inform us when we "order" (we didn't even exactly order). I don't like such things, be transparent.“

“We started off with some tasty cocktails: A Japanese twist on a margarita and an amazing whiskey-based pink one (the name escapes me but it was truly unique and delicious. We had their rendition of a Caeser salad, which was enormous. The deep fried burrata was also quite big… and truly unique and scrumptious. I could have drank the cheesy broth all night. The fried hen was nice. The black cod was as well. The sticky pudding with lime ice cream dessert was massive, but the two of us managed. Also - get the potatoes…. A great compliment to everything.“

The food is high quality and the experience is fine dining but fun/relaxed.The menu is composed of bits of familiar recipes with Korean twists and French culinary techniques. There’s galbi, squid ink fried rice, uni, and mäd toast (which sounded monstrous but I didn’t get to try it this time) plus much more. I liked that the menu is small-sized and minimalist with clearly labeled snacks, little colds, hots, mains, extras, and desserts (menu is posted outside the entrance and on website). The current menu that started in mid-March has snacks/appetizers such as spicy yellowtail tart, beef tartare, fried shiitake mushroom rice balls (I think?, it’s labeled as mushroom arancini on the menu), pork head katsu, and scallion buns with unique sauces on the side ($20 per person, either no one or everyone orders). I tried the mushroom tempura with onion dip too! Everything was elegantly and adorably plated. Our server explained what’s what and suggested how to best enjoy some dishes. They have a really extensive drinks menu (many pages), complete with your usual offerings and their own unique cocktails, rice alcohol, maekgeolli, and even alcohol free cocktails woohoo! Not sure if all of the ice cubes for the alcoholic drinks are engraved with the restaurant’s name and logo but ours were and I thought that was a really cool and personal touch.An equally important part of my dining experience was the atmosphere and service. The staff are attentive, frequently filling glasses low on water and folding napkins when you step away. They also keep the music bopping and adjust their playlists. The lighting is a little dim and the interior is ‘cool club’ vibes but for a slightly more sophisticated audience. It’s a place to come in casual or dressed up a little for fun. It’s best for smaller groups of 1-4 I think based on seating arrangements but they seem to be able to accommodate slightly larger groups at some bigger tables and in the back room. Expect to pay $50-$100 if you get one item from each category on the menu and a drink. Probably $100+ if you get more or multiple drinks. The bar area in the back is across from the kitchen, which might be cool to peek at to see some staff members curating orders.I like that it’s on a quieter block in ktown area. The price range and location filters out loud and teen crowds, so it feels like a great place for young adults and Millenials to catch up or go on a date. It’s a place to sit down and chat while you savor small bites and wait on more food to arrive, so you’ll probably need like 1.5-2 hours if you’re going for a natural relaxed pace. I also saw a family of 5 enjoying dinner together here. Lastly, this is random but the hand soap is heavenly. I can’t wait to see what other menus they craft!!Dietary restrictions: They will ask about dietary restrictions and can modify recipes. If you don’t eat certain ingredients/foods, they can omit snacks too and adjust the price for you accordingly.“

“Fun food joint with awesome portion sizes - which I feel are fair for the price. We got the poutine, sausage egg biscuit, and the honey chicken biscuit sandwich. They were all good. If I come again I’d like to come with more friends because this is definitely the kind of place with lots of options to choose from and the portions are so big it’s hard to try much among two people. Service could have even a little better - between 10 & 15 minutes before we ordered but they were nice and helpful when we asked for things. I can see why this place is popular. It’s a fun environment and they were able to get us in fast (party of 2 around 2:30pm).“

I ordered a cocktail that had been very difficult for me to find in other places and the Bartender made it delicious. “This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! For three people, we shared some appetizers —— the seeded bread (7/10), scallops 7.5/10, duck bun (6/10), bucatini (7.5/10).The entrees were much better than the appetizers. They brought out bread (including gluten free bread) with a dipping sauce of olive oil, garlic paste, and peppers that was incredible. I have fond memories of my dad bringing me here for special occasions when I was a little girl, and it remains as special now as it was back then. Nothing changes at Gallagher's and that's a good thing. The food is delicious. The service is spectacular. The atmosphere is homey, fancy yet not overwhelmingly so, and so nostalgic and warm. We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. “Nice Matin is a bright and lively restaurant. The servers are friendly, helpful, and often check in with your table. Their food is very good and has some unique brunch options (grapefruit with granola topping, scrambled eggs with Marquez sausage, etc.) Yet they have the beloved choices of egg benedicts, sandwiches, and entrees such as salmon and steak even at brunch time. The prices are very good for Manhattan and every seat was filled during our Saturday brunch.“

The women's restroom has a lounge with beautiful vanity mirrors. The pasta a la presse was a highlight of the night because it was delicious but also because it was prepared table side with an explanation of its origin. The bread for the table had a lot of variety and was delicious. For my entree I had the lobster which was beautiful and tasted divine. The baked Alaska is a must for dessert since it's set ablaze at the table! If you're having trouble making a reservation we were able to secure ours with the Dorsa app.“

“I celebrated my 60th birthday last night at Rocco's and what an amazing treat! From the restaurant manager who doesn't miss a single detail to the gentlemen servers who are all professionals with glowing personalities. We were provided with a dessert on the house so they could put a candle in it and sing to me. It was like listening to a well-trained Italian Quartet. The food was beyond reproach as were the drinks. I cannot wait to visit Rocco's again and would recommend to anyone in the area.
