The meatloaf, yams and greens, are crave worthy and the cabbage, mac n cheese and ribs will make you wish you bought more! I have eaten Soul Food, from way South to NYC, in homes and restaurants and Maggie's rates up there with some of the most delicious, I've had. As they say down South, "they put their feet in that food"!!!“

“Was in Harlem and wanted some good food, this place popped up. We called before going, and was told that there was not a wait. Arrived just 5 minutes later and that was not the case. The host was pleasant, offered us cornbread and water while we waited. Our server was lack luster, she was so busy being busy she completely missed the mark at every opportunity. The food took a while to come out but it was good. Atmosphere comfortable. Would be willing to try again.“

“Yes …. Hunty… the food was delicious. The food cost goes by weight. I bought two white containers. Filled with collard greens, jerk chicken macaroni cheese rice and black eyed peas honey wings fried chicken steamed broccoli, turkey wings, beef ribs oxtails Rasta pasta which had a nice spice to it. The turkey wings was okay a little too much salt to me but was still good. The sorrel was also good as well and the steamed vegetables was also executed well also. No soft vegetables. Macaroni and cheese was good also. No complaints from me. You must put gloves on. Which I love places like this. Definitely a great food place . I’m glad I stopped by as a first timer. I will be back..happy eating“

“This spot is new to the block according to the owner which was very nice. For a spot that just came in, the food was delicious I must admit, there wasn’t much we could pick from the menu because they were still getting things together but I got chicken, macaroni and cheese inside a craved out pineapple. Yummy… the service was laggy however it’s clear they were trying which made the process feel promising. I believe within a year or 2 this spot is going to be poppin off something nice. Drinks were ok!“

“Everything on my plate tasted good, and I didn’t get to eat it till it was cold! There was a buffet which I found surprising and they charge by the pound - about $8/lb. The little butterflied fried shrimp tasted the best. Delish… The chicken had a very good flavor- fried and bbq. They have a homemade hot sauce, it has a good flavor, tastes like pepper sauce, meaning habanero/scotch bonnet . Only a little is needed not to overpower.. And it is Hawt!! 🌶️ If you like sweet greens, that’s what they have. I prefer no sweet but they were still good. The only con was, you could see the old glory days that must have been in there. The decor especially in the bathroom is a lil dull grunge unfortunately in need of a little love and maintenance. I would still eat here again though. That’s the only reason they didn’t get a 5

Here is the biggest PRO… a budget tip : If you’re headed to LGA, LaGuardia airport especially with a large family stop here… get your plate instead of the $20 plate at the airport. Large variety of tasty options Good to go“

“This place is a hidden gem. We were looking for place to make our go to spot. Once my foodie fiance tasted the catfish it was goto spot approved. The service is outstanding as they took very good care of us. The food is very tasty and nicely seasoned. We will be back.“
