“We had a wonderful experience at Charlie’s Place in Waldwick! Jacob was incredibly welcoming and accommodating from the moment we walked in. Even though they were scheduled to close for a private party in just an hour and a half, he went out of his way to take care of us and even called a sister restaurant to see if they could accommodate our party of seven. That level of hospitality truly stood out!

The food and drinks were great, with the Chicken Milanese being the standout dish. The kids’ menu was adorable, and the back room had a lovely ambiance that made the experience even more enjoyable.

We’re so glad everything worked out and can’t thank Jacob enough for making us feel so welcome. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Charlie’s Place!“

“Loved loved loved it! Went there with a couple of friends earlier in the week and the food and service were so great, I went back there on Friday this time with another couple! The food was really good - we got lettuce salad, octopus, aranchini tuna tartare, and pork milanese and gnocchi; we also got two desserts (chocolate mouse and chocolate hazelnut thing and both were amazing). And the owner was wonderful - we chatted with us, offered recommendations on food and even did a wine tasting!! Will definitely go back!!“

“Taco Thursday’s! Who doesn’t like a taco? Food is very fresh and best Mexican food around. Margaritas are made fresh with squeezed limes not a mix. One of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.“

“We dined at Robert’s for the first time. We were celebrating a relative’s birthday. The food was outrageous! The appetizers were amazing as were all of the entrees. I had chicken stuffed with mushrooms and I can honestly say that it was the best chicken I have ever eaten. The portions were plentiful. We had a large selection of desserts to choose from at the end of the meal. I chose one particular dessert but before mine came out, I asked if I could exchange it for one that someone in our party had in front of her. No problem. They accommodated me and it was beyond delicious. Also, the staff was very attentive during our whole meal. They could not have been any better. The only negative was the fact that there was also another birthday celebration going on at the same time and it was so noisy that we couldn’t hear each other talk. Despite that, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this fabulous restaurant.“

This time we started with 3 apps that I tried. A salmon tatar, raw oysters on a half shell and shrimp. We like to eat and love our food lol. Soo sooo good- Then I ordered the tuna that had a perfect crispy crust on the outside and rare on the inside with a delicious wasabi sauce along side black rice and steamed bok choy. Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event. “We haven't been in a couple of years. We had our daughter's wedding at the Hilton in 2022 and the food was always excellent. We especially remember one of their signature dishes , the short ribs. I don't know if it was a bad night, they changed the recipe or changed the chef, but it was nothing like we remembered. Too bad, very disappointing.“
