The lobster was incredibly fresh, perfectly sweet, and generously portioned. The roll itself was just the right texture—soft and slightly toasted—and let the quality of the lobster shine. “I absolutely recommend Peter Shields Inn for a wedding venue. We had a small wedding on the beach and our wedding dinner was handled by Peter Shields. We worked with Amy (their event coordinator) and she was so helpful in every way. She went above and beyond to make everything so easy for us. I literally handed them a box of our wedding decorations and the tables and everything was set up perfectly! I didn’t have to lift a finger. Their bartender served up our signature drinks with a smile. Our guitarist serenaded guests on the porch while they enjoyed cocktails and wonderful hors doeurves. Dinner was seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had. Perfection hands down!“

“My wife and I went to Stowaways for the first time on Friday night for their reopening. The new menu was great, options for everyone from seafood to steak, sandwiches and options for the kids as well. We met Marisa, she was very welcoming and attentive and stopped at our table several times to make sure everything was going well. After dinner, Gloria took us to their private event space and needless to say it was very impressive. We will definitely be back!“

“My husband and I have been visiting Cape May for years now, and we cannot understand how we waited this long to stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for dinner. We spent a few weeks in the area this year and had meals at the Oyster Bay Bar three times!! From our first visit, we felt so incredibly welcomed beginning with a nice chat with the hostess as we waited for our table. Just from that brief chat during our first visit, the same hostess greeted me by my name on our 2nd visit. I’m embarrassed to say that I cannot remember her name, but I will say that she was incredibly lovely and personable. Our server, Bobby, who took care of us on both our first and last visits, had a wonderful personality, sharing some tidbits with us of the history of the restaurant and with being local to the area, answered some of our questions about the holiday season in Cape May. Now, about the food…with each visit we tried something new and found each meal to be delicious and satisfying. Our favorite appetizer, which we had on all three visits, was the charbroiled oysters. Absolutely delightful!! The mix of the Parmesan cheese in the garlic butter….so very good!! My husband and I always like to do something special on our last night of vacation…and you guessed it, the Oyster Bay Bar was our choice for dinner! The lovely hostess greeted us once again and mentioned to the owner, Gary, that this was our third visit and that we chose this restaurant as our last dinner on vacation. Gary stopped by our table, after sending a complementary round of drinks to us, and spent time speaking with us. Knowing we were tossing the idea of a return visit during the holidays, he gave us his personal cell phone number to reach out to him for not only restaurant reservations but also if we had any other questions regarding the holiday visit. Never before, have I encountered such genuine kindness and graciousness in a visit to a restaurant establishment. I cannot stress to all who take the time to read this review that you most definitely must stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for a meal. You will not be disappointed. “We live in North Jersey and drive down to Cape May a few times during the summer. Sometimes we even stay for the week. We always come to Sea Salt for a great night out and a fabulous dinner. The staff is always wonderful and friendly and the menu never ever disappoints! Always worth the little over 2hr drive for us to spend the day and have a great dinner with family and friends.“

“Recent Trip to Maison Bleue at The Hugh B&B in Cape May did not disappoint! Shout out to Dorothy Birchall Shuman and her support staff for the excellent service. Russ Wheeler and the back of the house killed it! I love French cuisine and was really looking forward to this one for my Birthday ?.

Duck appetizer was a hit. The Humboldt Fog cheese was amazing. Next moving on the the escargot ? over the puff pastry. I have never had it prepared like this before and I don’t think I want it any other way now. So delicious. The baked oysters with leek fondue and caviar were probably my personal favorite. I could probably eat a dozen of them. So creamy and delicious. The steak and scallops with the Cafe de Paris sauce that was “plucked” out of France ?? by the owners was to die for. I could put this sauce on anything. So rich. The apple birthday dessert and the Crème Brûlée were both very good but I would have to say it was the best Crème Brûlée I’ve ever had. So satisfying cracking the sugar shell on top.

Once again highly recommended from the food to the service to the atmosphere. Was sat inside but they also have a nice porch with comfy chairs and couches that looks onto Washington Street and even has overhead heaters for the colder months. The inside dining was extraordinary. The French music mix along with the lighting definitely set the tone for the evening. I felt like I was in Lyon but only 15 minutes away from my doorstep. 10/10 experience, will be back!“

“We visited Joey M's La Piazza this evening for the first time. We had the chicken parm w/spaghetti and the calamari w/white garlic sauce over spaghetti. Hot bread came out first, and both the entree's were excellent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The venue was adorned with many celebrity photos and had good Italian music playing in the background. We can recommend Joey's for a good dining experience.“

“I grew up near the Chesapeake Bay and can tell you that Canal Side does crabs right. Their own seasoning blend is very good and they sell bags of it. The local crabs are just a bit smaller on average than Chesapeake crabs but that's ok, their flavor is great! 🦀“

“Great customer service first of all and let me tell you about the food! The Maryland crab soup is flavorful and delicious, you know your eating crab soup. And next stuffed shrimp w/ crab imperial and stuffed mushrooms are great tasting. Also bacon wrapped scallops are a hit, try w/ sweet chili sauce. The lobster roll sandwich is made to perfection. Delicious!And to top it all off key lime pie & peanut butter cake were fantastic.“

“Pretty good pub fare with decent prices. Sometimes a little too crowded & loud for my liking,but most won't mind that.

They know how to make two of my fave casual meals: a Reuben and Fish & Chips, both of which in other places manage to be soggy rather than toasted or fried to crispy perfection.“
