The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! Really, all the food was impeccable, from the focaccia to our mains. Super pleased and the next time I’m in town, I will most definitely be coming back!!“

“Worth the wait. This was our last Philly Michelin m-starred restaurant to try. It’s the absolute best. The food was extraordinary and I’m already dreaming of my next meal there. My particular favorites included the buckwheat tart with morels and both pasta courses (one was an add on). Sadly I will now never feel satiated unless I’m eating Chef Schulman’s triangoli. A beautiful and intimate space with incredible care by the entire staff. Amanda Schulman was incredibly welcoming and engaged with the diners. Wine pairing was outstanding as was my Negroni made with Bruto Americano. The marzipan rhubarb cake was the stuff dreams are made of. So, so, so happy after this meal. Did I mention? “We just left Cicala, and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was incredible.

Honestly one of the best interior designs I’ve seen in an Italian restaurant, and probably the best in Philadelphia.

There was a gentleman named Peter at the front who took great care of us. Since we had our baby with us, he was especially attentive and thoughtful throughout the night, which we really appreciated.

We started with the arugula salad, and it was one of the best arugula salads I’ve had. Then we ordered a crab and tomato pasta — I can’t remember the exact name — and it was very good, although slightly under-seasoned for my taste.

After that, we had the slow-cooked short rib. The presentation and overall dish were beautiful, but for me personally, the meat was a little too cooked. If you don’t prefer very well-cooked meat, I’d recommend mentioning that beforehand.

Overall, I felt the salt levels in some dishes were a bit low, but it was still an excellent dining experience.

“My family had dinner at Albertinos today for my mom and husbands birthday. Because there was 9 of us they require a fix price meal for each person. This price includes an app, main, and dessert - anything on the menu. The service here is outstanding. The food is better than anywhere else in town, and for me- the best Italian I have ever had. Dinner for 9 of us took about three hours. To me, this is amazing. There was no rush. They made sure everything was perfect. We were able to relax and enjoy our time. We have been there two other times and have had the same waitress. The daughter of the owner (Jsut another plus). She is bubbly and kind and makes sure everyone has a great time. “My sister and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Dolce Italian before the matinee to see Shen Yun. We had plenty of time and yet we did not have to wait long for service.
Our server, Tristan, was very polite and efficient as we requested if we could share both a salad and a sandwich!
The roasted beets salad was excellent, and the chicken cutlet sandwich was freshly cooked and delicious. The portions were very generous even though we shared both choices.
This restaurant is a great option for lunch or early supper before a show or the Philadelphia Orchestra. I highly recommend Dolce Italian.“

“Thank heavens for Colonial Beach Local Foodie’s referral. Meet a gentleman at Thousand Trails resort just outside of Colonial Beach Va. that had a thick Upstate NY accent. We preceded to reminisce about family in Upstate NY,, of course food rolled into the conversation,. That’s how I came across Nonna Lena’s Italian Cuisine. I stopped by the restaurant by myself a couple of later.. Thought I’d get a quick lunch fix. Wrong! My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I the chief my plate of Eggplant Parmesan. What a wonderful freshly made dinner (plus leftovers for 2 extra meals). The staff all were very friendly. Chiefly came out to see how I liked my meal. He shared some details about the newly open restaurant & homemade recipes, etc. He mentioned breakfast was also served and somehow in the conversation he decided to send me home with a sample of sausages & gravy along with my husbands meal. OMGoodness, the next day my breakfast was fantastic. Foodie’s note. Their food is prepared fresh from scratch daily😊.
