“Excellent bagels made in store. This shop is very popular with locals. Lines at peak times. I rated atmosphere at five because it’s possible to speak with other locals at tables and chairs (5 tables and 15 chairs including a single table and chair next to a south facing window -great sun trap on a cold morning). My favourite is an everything bagel with cream cheese toasted and coffee.“

“Fabulous food! Friendly service! The avocado toast was delicious! My only suggestion has to do with the coffee. The coffee should be taste-tested before allowing customers to serve themselves because today’s regular coffee was weak and tasteless. Other than that The Shop is great!“

“I deliver David’s bagels their Tropicana drinks and have to say they are the nicest people. Paula and Javier treat you so well and so does everyone else behind the counter. “Mamaroneck location: the best bagel in the Westchester Sound Shore area since H&R closed in New Rochelle a couple of years ago - sorry New Ro, Eastchester, Larchmont, and Ryebrook, Brooklyn bagels in Mamaroneck makes a better bagel, their service is AA++, great location, and great atmosphere.“

“This neighborhood deli is packed with character and options. I ordered a classic lox and scallion cream cheese—fresh, briny, and generously portioned. The scallion cream cheese had the perfect tang and herbal kick, complementing the lox beautifully. I also grabbed a cup of their Oreo pudding—rich, sweet, and creamy without being overly heavy. A nostalgic treat done right.

“I have been a long time customer, since the early 80’s. For the first time I had lunch at the Hot Bar and met the new executive chef Chris Smith while I was serving myself. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious and he was so friendly and helpful. Kudos to Stews for continually hiring outstanding employees and welcome to Chris.“

“It’s a little corner bagel shop and this was superb at many directions.
I had just a quick breakfast and mine was a bagel with CC and another one with butter.
One for later obviously but with a coffee add up only to $8.
Bagels were how old school type was crispy and chewy.
Just a regular cup of coffee tasted so good much better than trendy chais like Starbucks.
Totally satisfied with the food and drink and services by the guys.

“This is our favorite place for bagels in Tenafly. We moved from NYC and missed our morning bagels and thought we’d never find a good replacement. Their bagels are soft enough but not doughy and their everything bagel has the perfect amount of seasoning. I like that this bagel has a little salt in the seasoning and a little onion bite. The owners learned our “usual” quickly and are super nice.“

“This is constructive criticism, but when one of those white girls makes my sandwich i immediately know that the sandwich is going to be mediocre. No matter how many times you tell them “TOAST THE BREAD” they don’t listen. Especially when it’s a hot sandwich, by the time you get home the sandwich morphs into mush & it’s a soggy mess. “Perfect location with a municipal parking lot next to the cafe. GCBC bagels are as close to the bagels I grew up eating in Forest Hills. They are soft but slightly chewy. Perfect texture! When I go early in the morning after they've taken them out of the oven, I don't even ask them to toast it. Sometimes I have to wait in line because they're busy but that's a good sign. There are regulars who come every morning and read newspapers while having their bagels. It's a neighborly place with excellent bagels.“

While I waited, there was a consistent line of what seemed to be regulars popping in to get their usual orders. The staff were efficient and courteous and got my order ready pretty quickly. I ordered a mini plain cream cheese bagel for myself to try out. I ended up eating the bagel on the way to the game. The cream cheese had partly melted on the bagel, which was toasty and delicious.
