“Good lunch selections just that their miso soup is so salty. Otherwise everything else is very good. I had salmon teriyaki with California rolls. It came with side salad , miso soup and steamed veggies. Salmon size serving is big for lunch . Very happy with the order. Cheap for $14.“

“Just finished my teriyaki steak box. Has to be the best I have ever had. Fresh, crisp, distinct flavors all on one plate. I do not usually write reviews but was so impressed that I had to congratulate them. Well done!“

“We just ate there - what spectacular sushi. Everything was incredibly fresh, we had the table service which was quite filling, look forward to trying the counter service when we’re extra hungry. I love the straightforward style - top notch excellent sushi, fresh, no frills. Absolutely every piece was amazing, no “fillers” or off pieces. We like Miku for takeout but this is special for a date night, Greenwich truly is spoiled for top level sushi.“

“I almost forgot about this spot but remembered it from when I trained at the martial arts gym down the street. I saw the other reviews raved about the food and the impressive menu for such a little spot so I decided to stop in for lunch. Very delicious indeed and the fish was rather fresh and clean tasting. They offer a decently priced menu full of Japanese favorites including cooked dishes if you are not a sushi fan. I opted for a traditional tuna maki roll and a spicy tuna roll as apart of the lunch special. Both were so tasty I ended up ordering another roll to go and the crispy rice. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and traditional decor, very bright and clean looking. Sometimes these restaurants these days can get a little too funky with the decor so they made a proper choice maintaining simplicity. I see they deliver so I will definitely be ordering again when I am not in the area.“

“Lunch at Oko 🥢
A Japanese-inspired restaurant by Chef Brian Lewis, combining traditional Japanese techniques with locally sourced ingredients and fish flown in from Japan. 💯
What we ordered:

Fresh, well-balanced selection. The otoro and seared pieces were standouts.
🐟 Bigeye Tuna Oko-Poke — $23 (₱1,416)
Fresh tuna, yuzu ponzu, togarashi aioli, nori, and quinoa crunch. My favorite dish of the meal.
🍣 Marinated King Salmon Oko-Poke — $22 (₱1,355)
Rich, creamy, and perfect for salmon lovers.
🍜 Lobster Mazamen — $29 (₱1,786)
Brothless ramen with lobster XO and crispy shallots. Packed with umami.
🥬 Yamisuki Cabbage — $17 (₱1,047)
Has a good kick, light, and surprisingly addictive.

“One of the best Ramen Bars I’ve ever been to. The flavors across the menu are unreal. The Spicy Miso Ramen w/ Pork Belly in particular was one of the best soup broths I’ve ever tasted. The service staff could not have been more friendly and courteous. The quaint setting and atmosphere lend themselves to almost feel like sitting at one big family style dinner table.“

“Came here to eat in New Year’s Day. Miso soup was so good. We ordered many hand yolks between two people. There was one tool I didn’t like too much I can’t remember the name now but all the rest were fresh and delicious.
They even gave us a cute ice cream dessert“

“This is the place if you want authentic, high quality, Japanese food. The small dishes on the separate menu are really delightful.
Prices reflect food quality. Be prepared to pay for the best all around Japanese food in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
They run it like fine dining, not like a casual sushi bar. So they have strict rules around noise, noisy kids, and cell phones. Don't expect to bring your kid and set him up with an ipad with the volume on. Seems reasonable. No outside food, no exceptions. Seems reasonable.
The servers were polite, no issues in this department.
A real gem of a restaurant.“

“We ordered a party platter, and it’s absolutely amazing.
The quality of the sushi and rolls is excellent—fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced.
It’s the perfect lunch for our family of four.
Both the kids and the adults were very happy with the meal.
I’ll definitely be ordering again soon. 🍣✨“

“I've been going here for years & the food is great & fairly priced. They have a great maki lunch meal with soup/salad & 3 rollls for a decent price. Their bento box is great! You gey to choose 2 meats plus a roll, shumai, rice & tempura veggies and soup & salad. Very good. Even better they a stamp card & you get stamps for every $25 you spend. Once card had has 10 stamps you get a $25 gift card to apply to your next visit. Honestly, lovely staff & calm environment. So glad its a neighborhood staple.“

“Tzen is a true hidden gem that delivers an exceptional dining experience once you look past the initial price tag. I avoided visiting because the sales tax is higher at this location, but the build quality of the food and the freshness of the ingredients make up for the added expense. This is a joy lifter of a restaurant where the culinary performance clearly lives up to its claims of being a high-end establishment.
During my visit, I ordered the Mapo tofu as a vegan option, which served as a perfect test for the quality of the vegetables used in the kitchen. The produce was remarkably fresh and well-prepared, showcasing a level of detail often missing from standard fare. While the Szechuan seasoning was not quite as numbing as I desired, this profile is somewhat expected for this region and did not detract from the overall high-quality experience. The flavors were faithful to authentic techniques while remaining accessible, proving that the kitchen team is extremely knowledgeable.
Bottom Line: Tzen offers a sophisticated and flavorful menu that justifies the premium cost through sheer quality. If you are looking for an elevated, authentic vegan meal with fresh, premium ingredients, this is an excellent choice; however, if you are strictly budget-conscious or seeking the intense, numbing heat found in traditional Szechuan provinces, you may find the seasoning and price point a bit deficient for your specific needs. I highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try.“

“If you’re looking for an honest experience at Abis Restaurant, I suggest getting the experience firsthand. I’ve been there myself, and my experience was completely real — in the best way.
From the moment you walk in, everyone is welcoming, attentive, and kind. You can tell they care about the guests, not just about “doing their job.” Service felt warm, not forced — the kind where you feel comfortable asking questions and taking your time.
The food is where Abis really shines. Every dish we had was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can taste the quality and the care in the preparation. The menu offers comfort and creativity at the same time, which isn’t easy to pull off. Nothing felt rushed or careless — it felt like food made by people who take pride in what they serve.
The hibachi experience is a highlight all on its own. The chef didn't just cook- he put on a full show. It was fun, interactive, and entertaining without taking away from the quality of the food. Watching the precision, energy, and skill on the grill while the flames go up adds such a great atmosphere to the meal. And the food coming off the grill? Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and served hot and fresh.
Of course, Chef Angelo deserves recognition for the passion and leadership that clearly comes from the kitchen. But it’s also important to acknowledge the other hibachi chefs working that same day. Watching them cook for other tables, you could see the same level of talent, focus, and passion in their performances. It’s clear that the quality and showmanship at Abis isn’t just one person — it’s a team of skilled chefs who truly care about their craft.
And Jay, the owner, deserves recognition too. It’s rare to see an owner so present and involved. You can tell he truly values both his customers and his team, which says a lot about the heart behind this place.
Overall, Abi’s isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a place where hospitality, experience, and quality matter. I’ll definitely be coming back and would encourage others to experience it for themselves.“

“One of the only places around that is Asian food with a nice atmosphere. The dumplings were especially delicious, and the salad and miso soup were especially good. Then the bento box is always fun. The only negative was that the teriyaki chicken could have a little more char on it.“

“Haikou is a great place! I got the crispy white meat sesame chicken with brown rice and it was very solid and came out nice and fresh. Next time I’ll try General Tso’s because everything looked good. Haikou definitely has my stamp of approval! I approve and recommend for sure.“

“I generally like the food here, I have tried their general tso's chicken, pad thai, scallion pancakes, pork fried dumplings and various sushi dishes which were all quite good. Not a top restaurant but definitely a decent pick and not insanely expensive considering the area it is in. There usually arent that many people eating there if you like a relatively quiet dining experience but I also rated it a 3 for atmosphere as it isn't very lively. Good service, 4 stars for me overall.“

“One of the best hot and sour soups and fried crunchy soup noodles I’ve had.
Although a tad bit pricey and could do better with some freebies if you spend a lot besides an Eggroll or soda.
Take out entree portions could be a bit bigger for price as well. I'm sure bigger if you eat in. Flavor of food is great. Fresh and authentic.
Some people could be cold but open up once you break the ice.
Love the goodie bag tea bags and fortune cookies they give.“
