“I've been going to HDL consistently for 2 years now and it's still one of my favorite hotpot places in nyc. In terms of cleanliness, service and food quality it is top notch. In terms of price it is on the pricier side ($50-$75pp). The servers are very attentive and offer to make you a soup and dipping sauce. I always leave feeling full and satisfied. The Chinese opera show, dancing noodle and birthday singing also make the dining experience more fun and memorable.Parking: Paid parking lot“

“I very much enjoyed my experience here. The drinks are very good. I had a strawberries and cream drink and it taste just like a strawberry milkshake yogurt. I really enjoyed it. The meat was very good and seasoned well. They were different options In regards to waiting there was a big wait the food came very fast. Appetizers were delicious and the service was very good and the waiters were very attentive and helpful and mindful if they see that you have a little bit of issues in regards to cooking so they will for sure be more than happy to help you will come again. This was my second time and the third time I know will be maybe even better.“

“Although our service was not good (our waiter insisted that we ordered too much and asked us to reduce the number of items!, it was just the 2 of us, but really? We ended up finishing everything), but still, the food was phenomenal. The flavor of the spicy sauce was the best I’ve ever had. They stir-fry rice was also the best fried rice you will ever taste. Although you need to wait a while to be seated and your service might be a hit or a miss. Would recommend this (10/10) to all hot pot lovers and to anyone who enjoys the taste of aromatic spices rather than just spicy food.“

“The seafood and meat are very fresh. I think this is the best seafood hot pot restaurant in Flushing. The dining experience is also very good, and the service of the waiter Kai is also very attentive. Just use the pad to order. However, it is recommended to choose a table with a large pot. Personally, the small pot is a bit small.“

“First of all, the ingredients were so fresh and the food was all delicious!!! They kept refilling the broth, so I ate delicious food without any inconvenience ? The mango sorbet they gave me at the end was the best dessert ever ? The staff and owner were so friendly that I couldn't help but leave a review ? I think I'll stop by every time I go to New Jersey!“

“First time trying their hotpot. Their soup base was very flavorful and smelled delicious. The food was also really fresh. The marinated meat was my favorite. My waitress kexin recommended me a lot of the dishes, and she was very knowledgeable of the menu. Amazing person! Definitely come back again.“

“I have been on the hunt for a new hotpot place after frequenting my last place in bayside for almost ten years. I was so happy to find JOYPOT super close to my new home in Astoria. Not only is the quality of their meat and veggies 10/10, but their mushroom broth and spicy broth are phenomenal. My boyfriend LOVES the mushroom base and it’s incomparable to anywhere else we’ve even been.My only qualm with AYCE places is that they don’t usually let you take your food home, and that is what I was told when I first called JOYPOT. However, on today’s visit, I asked if they can charge me for whatever we left behind and allow us pack our leftovers, and they gladly let us at a small fee. THANK YOU, Joypot!!! You are my new go-to and I’m so glad I found you ?? the fact that you will allow me to pay an extra fee and take my food home brings me so much joy ☺️“

“The service at this store is top-rated! They offer free snacks and kids' meals, and the quality of the meat freshness is excellent. We ordered a pot of chicken and pork stomach as soup base, and the soup is incredibly delicious with rich materials! We also chose a clear mineral water pot base, which is also very tasty and goes well with lamb rolls! The portions of beef and lamb are generous and satisfying! Highly recommended!Kid-friendliness: Yes“

“Liuyishou Hot Pot is a pretty laid back spot for some really good hot pot options. They have many meats and vegetables as well as different kinds of soups to try for your pot(s). This restaurant also has a really solid number of appetizers, snacks, and sauces you can create and plate then add to your table. A very wide selection with fried chicken, pig ear, dough with dipping sauce, etc. The hot pot was very tasty and all the meats we tried were great, and the price was not too bad either. Service was excellent.“

“We had a WONDERFUL time at Mala Project this week. Our server, Kyle, was extremely helpful in recommending ‘must haves’ for our appetizers, dry pot and, of course, drinks. We planned for only a quick bite to eat, but the atmosphere was so welcoming, we ordered more drinks and hung out for a while. Highly recommend this restaurant!“

“Came in car-sick with my group of family and friends. Staff was very understanding and didn't press me to eat and pay in order to sit. ?Served me soup broth with everyone else, so I could eat whenever I wanted if I decided to. Chose not to, but the offer is greatly appreciated.Jonathan is a very kind and down-to-earth waiter. Super honest too. ?“

“Came on Good Friday for lunch. There was a bit of a wait and everyone needs to be check-in on a wait-list via a tablet by the entrance. I believe you can also check-in on Yelp. The place is bright and clean. They offer 2 levels of AYCE buffet. There is a basic option for $19.99 and a premium option with all the beef and seafood for about $40. You can also add on premium dish a-la-carte. Made a bad decision and got the 2 flavor soup base, the pot is very small and with a divider inside the pot, which restrain amount of food you can put in. The food bar is a bit tight to move around and you may get stuck if there is a slow mover... ordered a rib eye as add on, the slides are paper thin and you can see through them. Our waiter refill our broth frequently without been asking, which is nice. The refilling of food can be a bit slow, there are empty dishes at the food bar.“

“A bit crowded, but no wait for a weekend dinner. Never had the hot pot here, but keep coming back for their Hainanese Chicken. Their sauces are made in house and are the reason we keep coming back. Better than 99% of the spots in Flushing. Everything is ordered through an iPad so you never have to wait if you need to ask for more rice or anything. Great spot for a quick bite or date night.“

I absolutely recommend you to try Da Long Yi hot pot. The quality of meat are excellent. The chestnut chicken soup is rich and creamy.“

“This place is such a gem! Price is not bad, and the food is amazing! I don't know what authentic Tibetan food should taste like, but this place is a family-owned business so I would inclined to believe that they serve authentic food. I came here for lunch today at around 1PM. The place was empty but as I began devouring my lunch, more people showed up for a late lunch, and guessing from the language they speak, they are all Tibetans/Himalayans. The menu is not necessarily friendly to non-Tibetans but my server was kind enough to explain menu items. I did also google some of the names of the food to figure out my order. I settled with an appetizer, a dropa khatsa. It's stir fried beef tripe. It's got a hint of curry but not overpowering and it doesn't remind you of Indian food. I The main dish I ordered was the mala dry pot with rice noodle fan (similar to Korean japchae noodles) with beef stomach (beef tripe but the bible tripe kind), fish balls, and mushrooms. The dry pot was spicy but not overly spicy. I caught a hint of Chinese Five Spice in it. Will definitely come back to try more food!“

“The food was of the best quality I have had in Midtown! Fresh fish and delicious rice bowls. The service was extremely forthcoming. The place was quiet even though it was a good lunch crowd. A minor issue for me is that the kitchen is open (like many other places), so some fabrics take on the smell.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, Vegan, gluten freeWheelchair accessibility: Street level, no stairs“

“The service was excellent, I didn't like that each person cannot choose the option but everyone has to choose the same one to be able to share the table (I don't like soups but my son and my husband do, so everyone we had to pay option 2)“

“This skewer hotpot restaurant is great! Skewers are priced well at 30 cents each. The bubble tea is also pretty solid. I've been craving this hotpot every week lately. I definitely prefer this style of hotpot to regular hotpot. Authentic and reminds me of the skewer hotpot spot I used to frequent when I was studying in China.“

“Finally I get to try their new location. I used to come here when it was still a lobster house named "dynamite" kinda sad that they closed down due to covid. But this is a great replacement in my opinion. We had the coconut chicken soup for 2 . I love how tender the chicken is and how delicious the soup came out . The place looks nice with new furnitures and lights . Also we tried their braised meat platter which was surprisingly good as well. The servers made sure our pot has enough water and constantly asked us if we needed help and if we need the plates changed . We definitely will be coming back!“

“For Korean folks, order extra spicy and add a note that make is super spicy with cilantro.I ordered here more than like 30+ times at this point ?. It is not traditional hotpot with boiling stuff but it is a go to place for quick and enjoyable hotpot throughout busy day.“

“Was there on a Sunday night, about a 20 min wait time. I remembered going there a few years ago, and it was good. Since now it's a AYCE hot pot we wanted to try again. There are three prices to choose from. We chose the VIP. It came with more meat selections and unlimited drinks (juice and soda). We got two different broth, bone and pickled. Both was very tasty. The meats were very good as well. The buffet section had plenty of choices veggies, balls, tofu and noodles. The restaurant was set up very nice. Would definitely come back.“

“This is a Thai run restaurant that combines a shabu shabu (hot pot) with Thai flavors. It is easy to miss as it is located on the second floor above a standard Thai restaurant. It is all you can eat and was reasonably priced at $24.99 a person. Overall, this is an interesting fusion place to try, though it is not without flaws. In terms of a shabu shabu, their selection of meats and vegetables is actually more basic than a normal one. The meats you can choose from include such standard items like beef, pork, chicken, some organ meats, and fish, squid, clam, and shrimp. The vegetables are on the side and were also relatively minimal in selection. A typical shabu shabu would have at least double the amount of items offered, but this place is much smaller. However, they are unique in that they offer Thai flavored broths for boiling. You can choose from a tom saap soup (lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves) or jaew hon (basil, shallot). We tried both soup bases and they were both very flavorful. As other reviews have mentioned, they also have an extremely delicious (though very salty) garlic fried rice, which you can help yourself to next to the vegetables and which is also unlimited.“

“Best Shabu Shabu in town! So glad to rediscovered them after so many years as I didn’t realize they relocated from Murray Hill. Service is always on point (been here 8 times over the last 7 months). Great sake offerings by the glass and authentic desserts too!“

“Great bustling place me and my friends found(friendship bbq lol) it was completely random night, looking for something to eat no research before hand. When we walked thru the ramp and then opened the doors we were so surprised how busy it was.Because of that the service wasn’t that great. We had no idea what we were in for. You order on an iPad then they bring out the skewers. We were completely clueless but once we started to eat, girlllll it was so delicious! The top 3 things I’d recommend are the corn ,Mongolian beef and fried rice. The raw beef is suppose to be eaten raw. We weren’t feeling risky enough to eat it like that so we ended up waiting a good while for them to cook(never again).Drinks weren’t so fueled with alcohol, i personally like mines strong. I saw the team sing the most epic happy birthday song! After we were done I went to the bathroom where there was mouthwash! Completely blown away. We got free dessert by the time we were leaving! I can’t wait to go back to try more things!“
“I don't know what isn't to love here! Prepare for very long waits, but it's worth it! All you can eat hotpot with lots of options of seafood, meats, veggies, drinks, side dishes, etc! Plenty of ingredients to customize your own dipping sauce too. I love this place! They're all very friendly and helpful!“

“Ye Skewers Hot Pot is an absolute must! The selection of food is vast and fresh. They are always replenishing it in a timely manner as well. It really stands out from all the other hot pot establishments. Not only is the food an amazing value for its quality, but the staff takes the whole experience to another level. Tonight, Abby helped my table. She was consistently making sure we were good. If we needed more broth, more drinks, clearing plates to create more room, and even supplying enough napkins throughout our meal. Abby was extremely detailed oriented and made our meal that much better! Next time you go, ask to sit at Abby’s section for the ultimate hot pot experience!“
