“Had to go out of my way to mention the consistency of this location. My sandwich here is always fresh and delicious, made by a helpful artist and I can tell they have good managers and training for their staff.

Many Subway locations have fallen far below the standard set in the early 2000's when Subway was the height of fast food culture.

Not this one. I really enjoy coming here and the service is excellent. Only gripe is that their restroom has been out of order for months and months.“

“The “Golden Boy” was delicious, with very fresh mozzarella cheese. Even the small sandwich is quite filling—you could probably feed two people with it! The restaurant is cash-only, but they do have an ATM inside, which is convenient. Service was pretty quick, and the staff were friendly and polite. Definitely worth trying!“

The people were actually some of the most friendly people ever, walked me through all the sandwiches and explained everything and made it super accessible for me to still enjoy the full experience even though i did takeout, for the price it is an INSANE amount of food and the sandwiches themselves are delicious, i had always passed this place and glad i stopped in because it really is worth it. “Ok, maybe I shouldn’t have picked marathon Sunday to finally hit up Frankel’s—it was packed! But what a great spot. I love their creative breakfast sandwich options, and the vibe was pure NYC energy. I got the pastrami, egg, and cheese on a challah bun, and it was exceptional. “Discovered this cute spot while on my lunch break, and I walked in and automatically fell in love. It immediately took me back to living in Europe. The authenticity, the freshness of the sandwich, the espresso… everything was so lekker.

The owner happened to be training a new employee while I was there and was super helpful with the menu. He was also shocked by the little Dutch I knew 😂 We ended up kiki-ing about how great the Netherlands and Belgium are, which honestly made the whole experience even better.

On two separate occasions, they not only accommodated our large family for brunch, they also cheerfully rearranged tables to fit our group plus the stroller for our daughter's infant daughter. “I read the service loan not because the service staff was an issue, but I am sick and tired of being penalized for using cash. I didn’t realize I went to the counter. I made my order selected everything and then I was told if I need to pay cash. I need to go to a kiosk. Annoying because now I have to go through all these menus to figure out what I just ordered feed cash into machine wait for that to come out. Totally unnecessary step and unfortunately something that would make me not want to stop here because they added a layer of complexity. It wasn’t necessary. Now I’m sure by the tone of my review that you could probably tell how old I am but that’s fine by me. I like walking into an establishment explaining what I want paying cash and walking out. It’s that simple but yet this isn’t. That being said, the food is fabulous so if the kiosk doesn’t bother you and you never pay cash then so be it.“

“I do not live in NYC, but I was trying to find someone who could provide food for my daughter's baby shower in the city. After researching a few options online, I contacted The Picnic Basket. I am so glad I did. The shower was to be in Central Park on a Saturday, and I was concerned about getting everything there safely and reasonably easily. As The Picnic Basket is closed on Saturday, I knew we'd need it Friday as late as possible.
They were so helpful, providing suggestions and a menu online with a lot of great options. I was able to order enough food for a party of 20 at a reasonable price. When my son-in-law arrived to pick it up, it was exceptionally well-packed and labeled. It all fit in their small apartment fridge, and we were able to get everything to the shower easily. Everyone absolutely loved the sandwich variety as well as the large kale salad. Everything was excellent and we were able to easily re-pack the leftovers for later. Great food, great service, great communication and budget-friendly. Would not hesitate to use them again! Thanks, Picnic Basket!“
