“We were a brunch party of 12 at 12. Friendly warm staff greeted us as soon as we arrived. Every staff member was attentive. I mean everyone in passing acknowledged us with a friendly smile and asked if our needs were being met.The food was delicious ! Every one of our dishes from waffles, pancakes, steak, fried rice , everything that came from the kitchen to our table was great.Thank you QueensBoro we really had a great experience.“
“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“A little gem in the heart of Corona. This place offers a variety of icee. They are freshly homemade and reasonable pricing. They offer several sizes. I can tell you I tried the peanut butter icee. This is one that I was hesitant on trying because well the sound of it was not appetizing. I decided to try it and I can say this is my favorite! It has peanut butter chunks in it. Pineapple and mango are also good.“
“Their gelato is literally the best gelato I have ever tasted. You can tell it’s all homemade and made from the heart. I have been here several times and have tried so many of their flavors and so far not a single flavor has disappointed me. I 100% recommend this place. If you don’t come here you are missing out on the BEST gelato ever.“
“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. This was our second time here and it has quickly become one of our goto places in Astoria. From the greeting at the door to the selection of great wine and cocktails- all unique because the are craft brews- to the staff answering our many questions about the very different and delicious menu to the quality of the food- an awesome experience. Last week we were there and enjoyed live jazz and the musicians mingled and talked with us. The decor is very comfortable. Looking forward to attending the special event nights, too. See you next week- if not before!!“
“A fantastic dessert shop that specializes in all things mango! The atmosphere is cozy. I tried the mune A8, and was blown away by the freshness and flavor. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick. If you're a fan of mango or just looking for a delicious treat, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to go back!---“
“Cooper and Peanut loves going to Annie’s. The staff and Tom(owner) are very friendly! Love a space to do some work and hang out with other pups! Cooper gets to play with other dogs while Peanut is learning how to socialize. My go to drink is the strawberry lemonade.“
“I always order a keema palata because it’s been my favorite dish since visiting the Burmese Bites stall at Queens Night Market in Corona. The way it’s made is fascinating to see. The dough is spread out very thinly and placed on a cooking surface where it is then topped with a minced chicken filling. It’s very similar to mughlai paratha in Bangladeshi cuisine but has a difference touch of flavor. The finished product tastes great with the cucumber yogurt sauce. My only issue I is with the oily texture which can sometimes overpower the flavor and quality of the dish. Other than that the keema palata is a hit and all the items on the menu are halal.“
“Plenty of good food and well managed organizer.Parking is clearly guided and there are food and some small stuff to be purchase. There are plenty of bins, table and chairs for you to enjoy the food. Also if you want to do Picnic, I saw people bring their own mat and etc. Can’t wait for the next one !“
“Food is delicious and great size portions. The service is excellent. Erdom and Aziz were so kind and helpful. The atmosphere is quiet and lovely. Very clean and bright. Went a week ago and returned a few days later because my 1st experience was so great. Marion“
“Super friendly and patient staff! My kids were so indecisive but the staff offered a tasting to help my kids decide! We finally ended with rainbow ice, mango and coconut and vanilla flavors! There is a Sandy backyard and a lot of fun for kids!“
“The food is great. The falafel is a vibrant green, very delicious and certainly one of the best. The cashier was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and dietary restrictions. I’m a vegan. The cook , who I believe was Kimo himself, was also very friendly, even with the fedex guy. Great atmosphere, good vibes. I’ll definitely come back to this neighborhood staple. Thanks again.Vegetarian options: falafel, rice, salad, pita, hummus, lots of veggiesDietary restrictions: vegan/vegetarian“
“Fantastic pizza and pasta. The white pie and the rigatoni bolognese are out of this world. Service is quick, the staff is friendly and give excellent drink recommendations. Ambiance is great, between the music and open concept brick oven…. Fave pizza spot in “
“Since moving to the area, Nana's is one place that is consistently fantastic and everyone I bring here raves about it. Simple, yes, but freshly made, flavorful, and healthy isn't always easy to find when you're trying to grab a quick bite.I think the way the menu is laid out is a bit confusing if you've never been. Once you understand how to navigate that, it's smooth sailing. My regular order is the Mu'shwarma, pita or platter depending on how I feel that day. I am pescatarian and love that they don't use artificial fake meat, but this dish is just really well flavored mushrooms. Their platters are great because you can choose so many sides, and they REALLY stuff their pitas, so I think either one works, depending on what mood I'm in. If you get the platter, you can choose pita or pita chips on the side. Their pita chips are fresh and the best I've ever tasted. I'm not usually a drink gal, but I love their Limonana so I do order it quite frequently. Very refreshing and made with all fresh ingredients. Not overly sugary or anything. I've tried a bunch of their salads/salatim and they are all amazing, but the Babaganoush is a MUST. I'm not always a fan of the dish because of the texture but theirs is the best I've ever had. So flavorful and fantastic. Any of the spicy salads (spicy tomato) are actually quite spicy, so be aware. There isn't so much of an ambiance here as there's 1-2 tight tables and it's definitely more of a to go place, although I have dined in and eaten outside when weather permits. There is no table service. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but I can often stretch one of their meals to 2 and the ingredients are so fresh and so delicious, so it is worth the price. Don't expect any $7 street cart pitas here though! I've taken my parents and several friends and everyone that has been has only raved about how fresh and delicious it is, so it's a must go to and a neighborhood staple for me.“
“Food was great, very traditional Beijing dishes.Only the service, we have a 3-year-old on the table with us. The waiter never get the kid a set of plate fork or spoon. The kiddo has no utensil to use at all.Otherwise, if you like northern Chinese food, perfect place to go.“
“One of my favorite queer bars in the city. It’s a homey dive bar with such a friendly crowd. Good place to chat and meet people. Drinks are strong and cheap. Great events; very community oriented. I feel so welcomed and at home here! Thank you for being absolutely lovely Albatross ?“
“Amazing staff serving great beer and food. The beer is excellent and we loved our pizza but most importantly the staff is amazing. They are knowledgeable and friendly. There also was a customer who has a medical event and the staff acted quickly and went in to get them the help they needed and their actions were lead with compassion.“
“Best chicken cutlet in the area. Left a note for an order specification that they were not seeing (that I was not aware about). I left a lower than usual review because it was happening more than once as I am a regular customer. Immediately they were on it. The next time I placed an order I received a phone call from the owner herself to make sure they knew what went wrong and how they could fix it. This business truly values their customers and really go the extra mile. Great food and great people make for a great experience! Highly recommend to all in the bayside area!“
“I’ve been here… what? 15 times? 20 times? The number doesn’t matter cuz I’ll keep coming back, baby!! The lavender latte plus sausage breakfast sandwich 2-hit combo will always call my name. And everyone here is so nice and beautiful and wonderful! I love you Julia’s!!“
“Great for a late night craving! Thank you for providing an additional sense of security while we enjoy our treat. The pillars in front of your establishment goes unnoticed by many, being in the security industry, i have to say……. This shows you care about not only your staff, but the customers waiting in line.“
“I come to this place almost every morning, and it never disappoints. It is family owned, and the workers are all very accommodating and friendly. Food is always very good and they always cook it to wants of the customer. Also make some of the best smoothies I’ve ever had with fresh fruits. Highly recommend this place“
“Great local bar with a very large selection of beers and delicious food cooked to order. All kinds of great bands on different nights of the week. They have fire pits in the back in a covered area with large screen televisions and exceptionally friendly staff. If you're in town in Rockaway Beach, definitely a place to stop by and have fun with friends.“
“We walked by this restaurant and decided to have a light dinner after having shaved-ice nearby on a hot day. This is a typical casual KBBQ joint with pretty good charcoal BBQ and good service. We ordered the Kalbi and Squid, both good quality and quite tasty.A neighborhood gem, so glad we gave it a shot and we will be back with friends to try different meats/items next time.“
“Yes Mama is one of the best discoveries of Astoria this year!Jessica runs the business all by herself and does a damn good job of it! Not only did she cook homemade Puerto Rican recipes, but she hires entertainment along with having a great selection of wine.I had the Carne Guisada (beef stew with white rice) and it felt like I was eating a mother’s cooking. Paired it with a couple glasses of Rosasera and a lovely Latin jazz band playing in the background and it was heaven. There were even some board games for us the play with while we waited on our food.Topped off the night by splitting a plate of the coquito flan served with the most adorable heart shaped spoons. It was so rich and decadent. If you live in or venture out to Astoria, please please please pay this place a visit! You’ll be so happy you did!“
“Not count as cheap eat though, but I really like the vibes here, it’s pretty like local Cantonese style. And the food taste pretty good though, I like the cheese pork cutlet and the Hong Kong style milk tea.The staffs are really nice here, tips are not mandatory but I did leave some tips to them.“
“Such a cool and inviting neighborhood cafe with a small library and collection of art, books and magazines . The coffee is great and the pastries and Haitian patties are flaky and delicious. Stumbled into it one day and it quickly became my favorite spot.“
“A proper authentic old school deli with real genuine kind owners who are passionate and care about their products and service. The food matches its authenticity. (They use regionally sourced Dietz and Watson and even have grass fed burgers) Other delis, restaurants, or any other type of business for that matter, take note - this is how it's done. One of NYC's best kept secrets and kind of want to keep it that way, but that would be selfish of me not to spread the word of just how good it is. As a NYC native, I can tell you I've tried my fair share of Deli's and finding the best BEC (bacon, egg, and cheese) around, and this one by far tops the list in any category.“
“A cash only hole in the wall that serves steam rice noodle . Each rice noodle comes with 3 vegetables ( scallions, beansprout, lettuce, corn)I prefer the shrimp roll over the signature. My shrimp roll had 5 pieces of shrimp. A small order was filling for me.Adding an egg is $1. They like to upsell here and will ask if you want egg.I feel like none of the meat in the signature roll were seasoned. The dried shrimp was nonexistent .Soymilk was way water down or under extracted. 1/5.The food is made to order and I had never waited longer than 10 minutes. There is no restroom and they advise to go to the nearby malls. Bring your own sanitizer/ lysol wipes. This would not be a good place for groups since counter seating is limited and first come first serve.-1 starThis place is dirty. I have never seen them clean the countertop or the spoons for the hot sauce or even wiped down the soy sauce bottles. I am usually there at the less busy time.I didn't get corn in my steamed rolls and a piece showed up. I am not a fan of this cross contamination. I would not go here if you have seafood allergy or a vegetarian.“
“Afghanistan has the best grilling ever and the rice is very good and flavorful. Even if it's street food they have the same spices and flavors as the restaurant. Any restaurant or gyro stand that's from Afghanistan is always a huge hit. Next time try this place and trust me you will never regret it. ? Their hot sauce is very hot so be very careful.Parking: Next to petland corner of 31st Ave and 76th streetWheelchair accessibility: They have a parking lot in pet land just be careful parking there. Outside you can double park or pull over anywhere.“
“The food here is delicious. It is not a large restaurant, but with a reservation we were seated promptly. They have a lot of wait staff. The food came out quickly and whatever we asked for was promptly provided. It is a wonderful restaurant.“
“I would've given them a perfect star. I mean the times I've come here they've all been nice. It just seems like tonight I don't know. Had one girl there she finished serving someone else but then when she saw me she decided to go wash her hands pick up a rag find something else to wipe down even though the fact I was standing there, and I felt the energy shift because of the color but yet when someone else have of the same color came , she decided to stop what she was doing and ask them, How can I help you in mind you each time I come here always leave a tip but it's all good.... thanks to the gentleman that helped me....But over all their stuff is great!!!!“
“I went to the Sweet Sap today with my mom. We were having a lunch for her birthday. The restaurant’s beautiful, spacious, and clean. My mom drank a Sprite. She ate Chicken Katsu with Rice. Whereas I drank a lemonade and ate a Fried Shrimp Burger. Overall, I paid under $60 (including a $10 tip)!Definitely coming back one day.“
“First time here with my family! Lovely place with all the sweets! Owner very friendly! We got two cupcakes, a chocolate brownie and a coconut ube cookie! Cookie not too sweet, cupcakes are delicious and the chocolate brownie definitely my favorite ^u^ Will definitely go back and try the rest of the sweets that they have!“
“A great spot in the Forest Hills area! I was craving a burger and I saw this on yelp and came by! They have a variety of different beers on tap and in the fridge. They have a good amount of seating if you want to order some food, they have a variety of different kinds of food to order from wings, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, salad and more! The staff is super friendly and helpful! They also have TVs so you can watch a game while drinking a cold beer ! I definitely will be returning to try the wings!“
“What a great amazing I mean AMAZING cookies the smell took over my house … I ordered 8 cookies total HAVNT been able to dig in a few as this is super filling and one bite Is not enough so I’m storing and saving it one a day , the pistachio with passion fruit remind me of my home Brasil this is my favorite cookie I will be ordering “
“Charming neighborhood with the friendliest locals I’ve ever encountered in NY. It’s a beautiful drive here from Queens and randomly found a place that serves Hawaiian style shaved ice. It was delicious and I ordered the tropical shaved ice. The staff were very helpful, environment is clean and plenty of parking. I’m definitely going back to try more of their flavors/toppings!“
“Me and my girlfriend have lived around this area for two years and just stumble upon this restaurant, it was a great experience! Good food, great service and even though it was not crowded since we went at around 3 pm on a cold Thursday, the music was great and it was enjoyable. Happy to find gems like this in my community!“
“If you’re trying out a new Korean-Chinese restaurant then all that matters is the Jjajangmyun and jjambbong. Tried both and they were delicious! Classic taste and healthy serving. My only critique is the potatoes in the jjajang sauce. Not a big fan. Other than that looking forward to coming back.“
“As far as my husband and I are concerned one of the best, if not the best bakery. Been stopping by for years and never had a complaint. We had apple pie, chocolate babkah, various Danish, cookies. I love the chocolate cigars. Staff is always pleasant and helpful, no matter how busy they are. If it is a holiday, go early or reserve ahead of time.“
“An clean, authentic Irish Pub with real New York City chatacter and vibes! Super friendly and attentive Bartenders.Great selevtion of beverages including non-alchoholics.No smoking inside the pub.Rory, Nick, David, and all tge other staffers are very cool! The joy is getting back to pre-pandemic levels.“
“I decided to check this spot out on a whim around two years ago, and since then Bee has been my go-to spot to grab a coffee and to sit and get some work done. The staff here is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the ambience - from the decor to the lighting and the music - is incredibly warm and inviting. I love that customers have the option of selecting from various types of seating including swerving stools, booths, tables, couches in both indoor seating and outdoor seating. My personal favorite is the beautiful Bee garden in the back end of the cafe which offers "outdoor" seating which is closed off but still gives you the option of getting some sunlight. Off the menu, my favorite is the Kimchi fries. I have already introduced multiple of my friends and family to Bee, and would recommend anyone to check out this spot if they can.“
“CHOCHO offers a wide variety of appetizers, desserts, meats, seafoods and vegetables. The self serve station is clean and well stocked. Beef are cut to order and were delivered promptly by the staff.Lemon water is served by default for free. Other beverages can be made to order for an additional charge of $2.99 which includes free refills. Canned beverages can also be ordered and varies in price. The hotpot soup base is quite standard. But everything was delicious!“
“Passed by on one of my errands! Stopped by to try this new place out with my mom.--Special Promo Going On 3/04/24--Follow them on social and receive a free upgrade to a large drinkFollow and share on social media and get a free drink or Taiwanese sausage snack--Review--Only one employee was manning the shop~ When we came through on a Monday afternoon. We ordered the Oolong milk tea w/ Herbal Jelly. My mom ordered the Bubble Milk. Both at 30% sugar and no ice.Oolong tea with herbal jelly was perfect. Tasted exactly at 30% sweetness. The jelly was a little more viscous than what I'm used to but thats not a criticism or anything just an observation.Bubble milk tea: The base tea I think is earl grey - it was just slightly sweeter than the Oolong but still ok. Too sweet for my mom but ok for me so we switched drinks.TLDR:- Decent tea and not overly sweet at 30% sugar and no ice- Clean and spacious seating area- Has Wifi and clean bathrooms- Clear listed menu items and highlighting recommend drinks on the adjacent wall- Didn't try any of the food items but will be back for them, especially the snow shaved ice!- Cute logo <3“
“A hidden gem for amazing Korean food! This restaurant is cozy and narrow with decently priced food. There isn't too much seating though - about five 4-seat tables and three 2-seaters. The chairs were kinda uncomfortable, and the cushion wouldn't really stay in place. There also wasn't much space at the smaller table for all the food and side dishes, so it was very cramped.Aside from the poor furniture choices, the food was well worth the discomfort. First, there's a simple QR code to scan for the menu. The menu is simple and each dish has a corresponding photo. The special combo was very worth it, as it came with two dishes.I got the 'Bulgogi or Spicy Pork + Tofu Stew' set. The tofu stew was incredible. The broth was so flavorful and addicting. Plus, it came with lots of ingredients - tofu, mushrooms, egg, and kelp (?). The bulgogi was also very flavorful and sweet. It came out on a sizzling plate so make sure you let it cool down a bit.And ofc, every Korean restaurant has unlimited banchan (side dishes). Normally I only like one or two at other restaurants but l liked every single side dish that I literally cleaned up the plate.“
“I've been going here since it opened and have never been disappointed FANTASTIC beer, great service...nice food truck outside. Constantly getting new beers to try. Definitely a great pace to be a regular. hey also sell their beer CANNED so you can just come in try some beer and walk out with some great stuff to share with friends at home.“
“Great small place, this please can be come my next Cheers. Locals are great and very welcoming to new comers and give you great recommendations. Great selection of beers and very good food, I would come again. The owner operates the bar and he is very accommodating with great beer knowledge.“
“Rockaway Bagels is an absolute gem! The bagels are consistently fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, Whether it's the classic flavors or their specialty creations, every visit is a treat.“
“Emily was our server and she was beyond excellent! She gave us time and had suggestions. It felt like we knew her after only a few minutes. We started with a dozen oysters then We had the porterhouse for two and shelled king crab legsMelt in your mouth, eye rolling delicious!Parking: There was no parking. Valet was ideal“
“Support black women-owned businesses! The owner, Erin, has done a fantastic job with making this place cozy for the neighborhood. It's clean from top to bottom. The drink options are great and you can enjoy delicious beef patties and surprise chef pop ups. Tonight, I'm enjoying some Pinot Grigio and listening to live Jazz. If you're in the Bushwick area- this is a must stop!“
“Juice & Gems hands down tops my list of Black owned small businesses!! I come in once a week to purchase patties. The staff comprised of family is ALWAYS extremely kind and warm towards myself, my son and my mom. The patties are always crisped to perfection and the filling … ? chef’s kiss! There are other places I have had delicious vegan patties from but I choose to come here weekly because of their treatment. Customer service is of extreme importance to me & they’ve got that down. My only problem is that I haven’t, yet, expanded my palette to try out some of their other food options. I will and be back her to review!“
