“We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. “There are many excellent Greek restaurants in Astoria and Ambrosia Garden can hold its own with all of them. The decor is splendid. It feels like you are being teleported to an intimate Greek island. Pavlos, our server, was top notch. Every dish we had was on point. The meal started with fresh house baked bread and olive oil. Excellent. We then ordered the Hellenic salad, tzatziki, a couple of glasses of Cava and some wine. I ordered the grilled lamb chops, my wife and mother in law ordered two branzinos and my father in law ordered the cod special. I loved it all. My father in law thought that the cod was too salty and Pavlos was extremely apologetic. He proceeded to give us a couple of desserts on the house. Amazing. Each are done in house and they are special. We had a sticky cake layer topped with a cream and pistachio. It was divine and then we had their famous orange cake. So good. I finished off the meal with a perfect double espresso. Thank you Pavlos and thank you Ambrosia Garden for a wonderful experience.“

“Ordered for the first time last night, they were super accommodating since we called at 8:45 and they close at 9:00…. They made us 5 pies and I’m was so appreciative. They were so nice and even recommended one which I absolutely loved (with potatoes!) we can’t wait to go back but to eat there so we get the Pizza Hut out of the oven! Amazing owners and such a delight to have in valley steam!! The owner explained the ingredients and concept to my husband and his friend. They can’t back telling us so about it!“

We've been here a few times and usually get a few small plates to share and every dish is fantastic, particularly the Spanish meatballs and the fresh calamari! The drinks are always great and feel like they're made with fresh ingredients!

I had vegetable quesadella. My friend had an egg white vegetable omelet with hash browns. The portions are generous! Our waitress Eloise made the dining experience here pleasurable. Would definitely go back!“

“The environment is very warm and feels natural. They used to have a pacman game by the stools on the side, but have gotten rid of that. However, the food is AMAZING. I have been coming here for the past year or so whenever I have appointments or am craving a sweet treat. I love the biscoff and cream waffle but also the k-dogs have been good for when I want hot foods.“

“I had a wonderful experience here. The Butter Cookie Latte was absolutely amazing—easily one of the best specialty lattes I’ve had in a long time. The Caprese sandwich was good and fresh, though it wasn’t quite as memorable as the coffee.

What really makes this place stand out is the atmosphere and service. The staff were welcoming and attentive, creating a warm and comfortable environment. The music selection was relaxing and perfectly suited for getting work done on a laptop or simply enjoying a peaceful break. “The coffee house is chill, places to sit, wait time isn't bad at all. The staff are kind and accommodating and the prices are fair too (trust me, it's not outrageous!)

Besides that, this place host some events on Thursdays (every other Thursday, dont quote me though) and if you're new to Sunnyside I recommend it!

“Can't complain about getting unlimited rice to accompany entrees! I had the tofu jalfrezi here with spinach paratha and it did not disappoint. It's a small operation so service is a bit on the slow side, but the food more than makes up for that. The gentleman serving customers was also kind and professional. Looking forward to my next visit.“

Tried the special mozzarella in carrozza with anchiove and it was very good. Portions are plentiful and it's a high quality pasta. Highly recommend!“
