While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . “First, I saw this shop online and was taken aback by the prices and the lines, but it was 100% worth the hype. The cookies are crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside, full of deep rich chocolate, and as big as a person's hand. I recommend the two chip cookies and the peanut butter dark chocolate cookie. Their lemon bread and chocolate brioche are sold out frequently, so if you have a chance, absolutely purchase them.

“Too many variant of croissaints lol. This is the first time I've seen a bakery with so many different types of croissaints. The breads were mediocre. The cake is much better. Definitely a 4 star for cakes. If this bakery had more variety and tasted more original, I would've given it a higher rating. Quite expensive for bakery breads that's similar to Paris Baguette or Tous Les Jours. Cashiers speak English; service was fine. 5 stars for decor and company name!“

This is a very nice cozy bakery with comfortable seating. Great looking selection of pastries, breads and sandwiches. Today I had the scone with chocolate and an Americano coffee. Came with a small biscotti. Both were very good. Lots of take out business and many locals seem to sit in and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Several people doing business on their computers. Bathroom is spacious and clean.

My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“
